Simply the best in the business! Darian was recommended to me by my pup's breeder. She is professional, kind and skilled. Knowing that my labradoodle is impeccably groomed, cared for and safe will keep me coming back. So thrilled to have discovered this treasure. Thanks Groomingdales!

This place was amazing. They were able to fit my pup in last minute. My dog came out smelling great and looking sharp. I will definitely be back again

Very unprofessional when answering the phone . Did not give a good first impression. Never asked if I was an established customer and automatically states they were not taking new clients.

I’ve been taking my dogs here for several years. Heather, Darian, and the rest of the team genuinely care about their clients- your fur babies AND you. I’ve never had anything but a pleasant experience in all my visits. Heather is happy to explain the process and give tips to help you get the most out of your grooming experience. She cares about providing great service and is happy to discuss any concerns you may have. As a small business honor I have found her to be an amazing professional- so much so I drive an hour each way to bring my dogs to people I know care about them like they are their own.

I would not recommend this place. Terrible customer service and completely unorganized. Returning to clarify that we did not use any profanity in our interaction. Such claim amounts to libel and is a defamation of character. One would think that the business would utilize this platform to simply apologize for its unprofessionalism and lack of customer service, but instead, Groomingdales lied about the incident and justified its actions to disrespect a customer. I could provide details of the call, but rather not, as it is moot and provides no real benefit. Groomingdales’ response to my comment provides evidence that supports my initial review. It is quite unfortunate how this company handles its business. I hope the company will take my and other low-rated comments into consideration as it moves forward in its business.

I took my standard poodle here. They hurt him bad. Inside his ears is bloody, scabbed, and smell terrible.

We have been to many grooming salons in the area since we moved here before covd 19, groomingdales is the best hands down! My dog loves going to see the girls that work there. We have definitely found the right salon for our Bella girl!

I'm not a client of this establishment. However, when I called to inquire about becoming one the person on the other end was rude. I respect people's time, but just let the machine get the call if you are too busy to answer a few questions not covered on your website.

Came in for a quick nail trim. I was in and out in 10 minutes and they were super friendly. My dog enjoyed the time there too.

This was my first experience with Groomingdales I was a new customer my old salon had to close down which was Carolina spa for whatever reason I don’t know so i Had an appointment on Monday which was canceled due to a worker of being sick they called me a half hour before my appointment was scheduled which I understand because the person was brought to the hospital she gave me an appointment the next day as an express appointment because I don’t like to leave my dog there for four hours to get groomed because he gets very stressed out and very very nervous and he don’t get along with other dogs. I brought the dog in front of the store the girl came out with a notepad took all the information about what I wanted done with the dog. I told her I only wanted a sanitary cut not to cut the dogs hair because he is called a Mi-Ki . That is type of Breed of dog does not get his haircut, So I was told from the breeder when I purchased him. The girl that took my information never gave what I requested to the groomer when I picked up the dog the dogs hair was all cut they even cut his tail, which this breed that is a mark of the breed ,my wife and I was so upset. It was not the groomers fault it was the lack of communication from the girl who took my information outside to give it to the groomer as to what I wanted done with my dog I called them back later on, Because I had other appointments the manager was a little nasty and passed it over to the groomer which kept apologizing to me , I told him it wasn’t his fault it was the lack of communication from the girl that took the information from me to him. Management never apologized and should take responsibility for what happened and not pass it over to the groomer not even an apology was said for what they did to my dog. They should change the way they do business there and you should speak directly to the groomer him or her self and tell them what you actually want and not to the person that comes out to greet you because evidently that doesn’t work they did not compensate me for what they did I did not even get a receipt for my bill which they were supposed to email me which I never received. They told me it was $30 and $15 extra for express bath when I was ready to pay it came out to $77 which is ridiculous, they should’ve at least took off the price of what they did for the cut which they should’ve never have done. The manager did not work with me to resolve the problem to ask me what can I do to compensate for what happened ,nothing or even acknowledge of the mistake I know the dogs hair will grow back but that’s not the point. This is not the way you do business.

I have two pit bulls who were seen here yesterday. They did such a good job! We will continue to use them as or frequent groomer. Thank you Groomingdales! Also not too expensive very reasonably priced.

Let me start by saying, my border collie mix has been groomed at Groomingdales about 5 or 6 times over the last year. Overall, I have been satisfied with their service. He’s a very anxious dog, and I know he can be a difficult client. The first few times he was groomed, I asked the staff to call me about 30 minutes before he was ready so that he wouldn’t have to wait in a cage, and they did so, which I appreciated. The haircuts weren’t always perfect, but I felt like my instructions were heard, and for the most part, executed. The last few times he was groomed there, the quality of my experience has declined. Appointments that used to take roughly 3 hours, now took 6-7 hours, and there was even a time when I was called 20 minutes after the store closed to pick him up from a morning appointment. I thought this was inconvenient and less than ideal, but I was able to look past this because I was fairly comfortable with his previous experiences. All of this brings me to his last appointment which was 1/13/2021. I asked the groomer to please be sure to clip his rear dew claws because they were exceptionally longer than his other nails. I assumed they must have been missed at his last appointment, and I wanted to make sure they would be clipped this time. When it was time to pick him up, the groomer called to say that while she was shaving him, he bucked his leg, and she accidentally nicked the skin of his rear dew claw. She said it bled, but that she was able to stop the bleeding and was calling to ask whether I wanted her to bandage it or not. She apologized, I accepted, and I said I wanted her to go ahead and bandage the wound. At the time, I was very understanding because, like I said, I know my dog can be very difficult when getting his feet and nails groomed. I understood how an accident like that could’ve happened. I even said “I’m thankful it wasn’t worse, I thought you were going to say you cut the whole dew claw off.” She assured me that it was a minor cut, that I would be able to take the bandage off that night or the next morning, and she made it seem like everything would be good. I paid full price for the grooming and tipped 20% as usual. Again, I was very understanding that accidents like this can happen. Since my dog’s dew claw was bandaged, I couldn’t see the cut before we left, but he seemed to be in good spirits, and I was just thankful to have my dog back. I wish I had asked to see the injury before leaving. Over the next two days my dog would not let me anywhere near that bandage. When I finally got it off two days later, there was a lot more dried blood than I expected. I let a few more days pass but the injury did not seem to improve, his appetite significantly decreased, and he was licking the area a lot. I ended up taking him to the vet one week after the original grooming appointment. The vet acknowledged that the groomer “got him pretty good.” He was given pain meds, antibiotics, a cone for the licking, and is scheduled for a follow up appointment a week later. This first vet appointment totaled over $120. Now, two days later, although we were hopeful the injury would fully heal, actually the opposite has happened, and his entire dew claw has completely fallen off. As dog people know, this isn’t just a nail, it’s an entire piece of flesh with a large nail that is now no longer attached to my dog’s leg. I am “shook,” for lack of a better word. To think that the Groomingdales groomer made it seem like this was a minor cut, is just unfathomable to me. Again, I understand accidents happen, but this is a troubling experience that I don’t think should be left unsaid. I’m not looking for anything other than to inform pet owners of my experience. Groomingdales appears to have amazing reviews on the internet, but this is THE review that I would want to see if I were choosing a groomer in the future.

Heather and her team go way above and beyond to take great care of my four legged...he used to be so hand shy when he went to another groomer and when I swtiched him over to Groomingdales he has been so happy. I see Heather with him and he lets her trim his face and eyes. He won't even let us do that. Thanks Heather for taking such great care of Lucky!

I was reluctant to go to a groomer again as I had only been to one, many years ago. It was not the best experience. I brought my feisty little pomeranian this week and was nervous. She is 7 and I always groomed her as best as I could and I wanted to make aure that they didn't shave her and lose her sweet flowy blond hair. Needless to say, not all groomers are created equal and Groomingdales did an amazing job!!! I was so happy when we picked her up!! She looked amazing! It was the best money I've spent and we will be back!

Groomingdales is one of the BEST grooming places in North Carolina! I have been taking my maltipoo Cleo here for two years and I am absolutely mesmerized by the service and work I receive each time by owner Heather Washington. I am typically very picky about how I like my dog Cleo to be cut and I was very adamant about this the first time that I brought her to be groomed. Heather listen carefully to everything that I was asking for and exceeded the original expectations in which I had. Heather has always been remarkable, kind, and willing to go above and beyond for Cleo. Heather has always been flexible, and understanding with any last minute changes that I may have had. After taking Cleo to many grooming salons around the area, I have found nothing close to the service I receive with Groomingdales. Even after moving out of the area, I still return to Heather for all grooming needs based on the trust, care, and skill in which she exudes every time. I have nothing but good words to say about Heather and her company Groomingdales and would go on and on all day if I could! My Cleo is constantly getting compliments and attention based on her perfectly executed ombré color and fluffy groom. If you are looking for a forever groomer, you have found one right here at your neighborhood Groomingdales.

Did way better with my dog than our vet does with nails. I was expecting his wiggles to make it too long. But then were out within 10 min and my dog looked great. I just paid from there. So easy, great work. Works amazing with pets. Even stubborn ones.

This was my first experience with Groomingdales and I will never be taking my pup back. The staff seemed nice enough, however my pup was dropped off at noon and we wer told it would take 3-4 hours. This should have been first clue that pups are kept in cages while they work through all the pups. Shame on me for not asking if they would keep my pup in a cage for several hours. Around 3 pm I went to wait at the parking lot to pick him up, no phone call received on his status which would be expected if he was not yet done. When I arrived I was told he had been finished (no phone call) and put back into a cage where he was scared and needed to poddy but was not let outside. He messed on himself in the cage he was put in. They had to give him another bath understandably and I was told it was take more time. I asked to be called once he was close to or ready so I could pick him up immediately after. Around 5:15 no phone call had been received so I went back to check on him. He had been finished for who knows how long and had been placed back into a cage. The staff seemed nice enough, but the absolute lack of communication and the fact that my pup was in a cage for several hours means I will not be back.
