I had loved passage east kennels, we d just moved to the area and I had started taking our lab for daycare there.. until one day in early december 2021, when according to them our lab (a very docile, neutered female dog) attacked a male dog during playtime. somewhat understandable - accidents can happen I guess although I have no idea how such a thing could have happened under supervision - instead of calling us they decided to confine our dog, and just let us know when my husband came to pick up our dog. we were beside ourselves with worry, so when I heard the news i asked my husband to drive back there and asked to speak to them. It turns out their protocol is not to inform owners (no idea why, its just a simple call) unless there is blood involved! it also took some time to answer whether the male dog was neutered or not. My guess is they were too busy and did not pay enough attention, which is also fine but why separate the dog and not let us know as soon as it happend? we take our dog to daycare so she can play. in addition our dog had had a test run when we first moved to the area and had several successful visits as I was told each time. and oh, they said they werent sure about our dog anymore so if we took her there she d be in confinement again! There should be videos but I wasnt offered any. in fact, I wasnt even given an explanation until my husband went back there and put me on the phone. so sadly, we cant take our dog anymore despite how great the location is.

I've been taking my dog here for 3 years for boarding and daycare. We moved an hour and 15 minutes away and I still make the drive to bring him to passage east for holidays and vacations. It's his home away from home. He absolutely loves it here. Passage East is always well staffed and reliable. I've heard horror stories from friends about other daycares, so I likely will never trust anyone else with my pup. I know he's in good hands and super happy here.

Our female German Shepherd is very anxious when away from us. We sent her to Passage East for boarding after slowly introducing her to day care there. The staff was so wonderful to us as we were anxious about how she was doing. They emailed, called, texted with updates and videos/pictures of our girl having fun. We couldn’t have been happier with how they took care of her and loved her while we were away. Plus she got a bath the last day and came home so soft & smelling great ????

Our Two healthy dogs go in for eleven days and $1,600- later we pick up two very sick dogs each with a week of massive diarrhea and severe kennel cough, even though they had all shots! Never again. This place is horrible.

My dog and I had tried several kennels before we realized Passage East was the perfect place for him! Dogs are treated as a member of the family here, not just a pet. Every time I picked my pup up he was always so happy and even almost reluctant to leave the friendly staff behind! They offer day care, grooming, boarding, and even training! From staff professionalism to facility cleanliness, this canine retreat is unbeatable!

My dog loves her daycare days and weekend stays at Passage East! They seem to treat my dog like she's their own which is exactly what I was looking for. When my dog stays overnight, we have Passage East give her a bath before pick up and her fur is always shiny, fluffy and delicious smelling.

We've entrusted our goldens with Passage East for the past seven years. Whether for day care, boarding or grooming, they're thrilled to go and spend time with their human and doggy friends. We know they are always safe, cared for, and having the Best Time Ever.

Have kenneled Apollo twice at this facility and have had great experiences both times! The first visit was supposed to be 3 weeks tops, but after getting stuck in another county during the pandemic, he had to stay 3 months! Everyone there cared for him lovingly, dealt with my constant change of dates and made sure I was kept content with updates and pictures. So recommend this location for your best friends :)

Great place! My pup is so excited to go and then nice and tired when he comes home. The online booking system is easy and efficient. The staff go the extra mile to be friendly, polite and attentive towards my pup. Highly recommend!

Brought my dog here for the first time. My last dog did not handle boarding well ever, so my wife and I are very apprehensive, nervous and critical. The staff at passage east could not have made me feel anymore at ease. They explained on the first call exactly what to expect, and also ask for clear communication and instruction which let me know they cared about my dogs experience here. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and enthusiastic about dogs. Whenever I called they were happy to update me on how he was doing. And Their social media helped to see my dog happy outside and playing. He was bathed when I picked him up and looks, feels and smells amazing. I know my dog was cared for here and I will definitely be coming back!

I've commuted on this road for 20 years. Yet, I never saw the sign for this establishment. IT'S HIDDEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! Once on the property you can see what's going on. It's well controlled chaos! It's a dog bonanza! They have an amazing time there. So many doggie friends to play with out in the fenced off yard. The staff members are out there with them playing and keeping a watchful eye. The ratio of staff to dogs is the highest I've ever seen. I use a cane to walk, so I gave the facility a four star rating because it's not easy walking if you're physically challenged.

Great boarding experience for our coton de tulear Kobe, a normally shy people preferring canine, he now hob nobs with his kennel friends. Love to see him socializing on Instagram and Facebook when we're away. Highly recommend!

We love Passages East! I feel very comfortable leaving my two dogs at this kennel when I travel. They've had stays up to two weeks! Dogs are always happy and clean and in good shape when I pick them up. This time they even got rid of the nasty matted hair behind my dogs' ears! Wonderful people here.

My dog was here for overnight camp, he was totally relaxed when i picked him up. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, pricing is fair, very clean and I like that they have them outside every day so your dog gets fresh air and exercise.

Mitzi is a very energetic Aussie/Sheltie mix. We started using Passage East this summer and again this fall. She seemed to enjoy her stays, but this week we took her for just one night. Mitzi often strains at the leash, but the moment we left the car, she was pulling like never before, so anxious to enter the reception area. When I opened the door she pulled so heard that she broke away and charged into the arms of one of the staff. She was so happy, like a second home. When I arrived the next day, she just trotted to me as if saying, "it was a great day spa day, can't wait to come back." I give 10 stars if possible because everyone is so caring.

Our dog is very happy when I drop him off and pick him up. He loves socializing with the dogs at playtime and likes everyone who works there.

I wish I could like this place. I would rather send my dog somewhere with a personal touch than one of the big kennels but he came home with lots and lots of fleas.

This place was highly recommended to me and I had taken my dog in for daycare a few times. I arrived at 7 am to drop my dog for daycare and grooming. As I approached the entrance I see the Kennel Manager walking in thru the back gate and immediately the dogs began to bark. She yelled at them off the top of her lungs repeatedly, screaming over and over stop, nooooo, she sounded insane and angry. I went into the office and she came out to take my dog. I was hesitant to leave my dog and was hoping she had calm down. I told her my dog was not feeling well and he had seen the vet a few days ago. I asked her to please make sure he had plenty of water available at all times. I had not even finished the sentence when she rudely said "we can not forced them to drink".. I thanked her and took my dog with me. I later on called to speak to the owner who was not available. I spoke to a young man and explained what had happened and he said, " Sorry, what would you like me to do for you"! I guess they feel it is a well established place and highly recommend and they do not care, one bad review will not harmed them. If you took your child to daycare and saw the teacher yelling at the children then get sarcastic with you.....would you leave your child there?

Passage East Kennels are clean, well-managed, and the staff is friendly and competent. The playground for dogs is nice, and it's clear that everyone there loves animals.

Been bringing my Lab there for years and never had a bad experience. Always accommodating, friendly and reasonably priced. Plus, unlike many "chain" kennels I've looked at in the Norwalk/Stamford area, they don't charge extra for bringing your own food for the dog (seriously, some places do), giving medications, or letting your pooch out in the yard to play with other dogs once or twice a day. Unlike Camp Bow Wow, they don't make you pay in advance for stays during peak times of the year or not refund you if you have to cancel at the last-minute. Two paws up, Passage East!

Passage East is the only Kennel we use. Our Beagle Tucker has been going to Passage East for years and when we drive into the parking lot he gets so excited. He literally drags us in and never looks back as we leave. Fern and Katrina and crew are really great and have made great improvements to the outside play areas. I highly recommend Passage East.

Fawn and the crew at Passage East Kennels were so great with my Chocolate lab! I would reccommend this Kennel for Grooming & short/long term boarding. They take great care of the dogs! You can tell Fawn and the team just LOVE animals and it shows by how happy my dog came back to me.
