This is one of the nicest shelters I've ever seen. They take such good care of the cats.

Mt first experience with them and everyone was so great! We lost our cat after 16 years and coming in and visiting with the cars and kittens really helped. My new cat found a hiding spot for the first 12 hours but came out meowing. He is very lovable and cuddly. I'm glad I went and he found me.

Pet Pride made the adoption process easy The sanctuary was well kept and clean the cats were well cared for. The whole staff were very professional especially Julie who took my Kitten back who had pink eye and cough. My Kitten Fin is home and happier than ever. Thank you Bill Pinkoski

They seem very friendly and caring. We had surrendered 2 of our cats because we could no longer take care of them due to health issues on our part. They were both completely healthy had no problems at all had even been to the vet earlier this year who said they were totally healthy. A couple weeks after surrendering them. One of them supposedly got sick had fluid in her lungs and had a bad liver so they put her down and checked her brother who they said was fine and healthy but then not even a week later the EXACT same thing happened to her brother. I don’t believe they are a no kill shelter. I still want answers from what happened but never got a response back from them. I get the impression they only care to have kittens and not senior cats or adult ones because most people only adopt kittens.

Can't speak highly enough. Kari and Donna went the extra mile to provide support to me for a mama cat and four kittens I found nursing on my deck two weeks ago. Thanks to their caring and able assistance all five have been captured and are getting attention and a good shot at a home.

This an amazing cat shelter that does a great deal for the cats of the greater Rochester area. It is a no kill shelter and is run by a wonderful coalition of cat lovers ???? The resident kitties here are very well taken care of-they have spacious cages, three catios, have tons of toys/scratching posts/cat condos, and are able to run around the shelter when employees are present. They have foster and volunteer programs which is a great way to get involved in helping cats in our community. They also have a wonderful program for feral cats: the blue collar cat program, which adopts out feral kitties to homes where they can live freely outside with the shelter of a barn or a garage. Their adoptable cats are all evaluated so you know their personality and preferences... Very helpful in finding your next best friend. If you are looking to adopt or are able to give your time volunteering/fostering, please check this place out! They have amazing cats awaiting homes and/or it is very rewarding to contribute by volunteering your time or home to cats in need.

I have now contacted this organization twice to adopt and never received a response back. They do not seem to have any sense of urgency to connect adoptees to permanent families. Done.

I have adopted my last 3 cats from here. They are a wonderful organization that truly cares for the cats they have. Today was no exception. I recommend this place for adopting a furever baby.

Company manager is very unprofessional, had to call authorities on unprofessional behavior regarding the buisness and managment there.. the manager will talk bad about her buisness transactions online putting down the adoptors. They have recorded transactions without the client knowing they would be recorded, remove any negative or constructive feedback on any social media to paint a false reputation. HAD DISTEMPER IN THE BUILDING and several cats dying 7 in about a 1 month period and there was more. Call ask about Boo, Bonnie, Mallard, Aries, - someone adopted mallard and he passed only a month after being adopted. I had to have friends adopt specific cats cause managment was talking about putting healthy cats down -- even though they claim to be a no kill. Wouldn't recommend due to the sketchy and unprofessional behavior from staff and the possibility of having a adopted cat die on you when you take it home.

Nice place where cats can go till adopted. Quite setting off the main road. Volunteers are very helpful. We had to surrender two cats that were born at our campground that we would have loved to take but we already have two rescue cats. We felt better that they were left in good hands and hope they have a new home soon.

Very disorganized and rude. After 3 unreturned voicemails about donating, I was finally able to get in touch with a boarderline hostile receptionist. My husband and I have donated in the past and had a pleasant experience, not so any more. Will not be donating in the future.

Was looking for a great friend " kitten " not only did I find her, but I fell in love with her brother and just didn't have the heart to break them up since they were so close together, and now I have 2 lil friends for life, I pick them up on Sunday and it feels like it's been a lifetime but it's only been a week so far and I can't wait. Hand's down I rate them 5 Stars because they are so good with the kittens and nd are so extremely helpful!!! Thank you Pet pride of New York!! !!! ????

UPDATE. I recently called to inquire about a cat that was listed on the website and was greeted by a sarcastic and rude employee who convinced me to adopt from another shelter. Very disappointed. Almost a year ago I walked in to pet pride after googling them. I didnt know they were there before. My late kitty just passed and I wanted to give his belongings to a furbaby that could use it. There were two ladies there that right away told me how grateful they were for the donations and even cried with me when I told them about my Herman and showed pictures and talked about memories. Heather was the name of one of the young ladies, the other started with a J or a G but I cannot remember her name, both so kind. They made a very painful situation easier and made me feel less silly about it. They called to check on me twice afterwards. She genuinely cared about my feelings which is one of the reasons that I recently adopted my sweet TeddyBear from here. I will never go anywhere else and I tell everyone I know about Pet pride every chance I get. Great people and lovely cats.

Great place to adopt a cat or kitten. Friendly people and cats. Animals are very well cared for in a home like setting with lots of hands on care making them well accommodated to people. Many cats are fostered in loving homes.

Horrible staff and sick cats. The smell when I walked in should have clued me in to what we were in for. I took this picture of a dirty, bloody litterbox in their main lobby while we were being ignored and then burrated by the manager who was incredibly rude from the start. My roommate and I adopted a kitten in December. We got him home and he had bloody diarrhea immediately and wouldnt eat. After almost $3000 in emergency vet bills, the poor thing succumbed to the Parvo that he was sent home to us with. The worst part about all of this is that our 5 year old cat caught it and is still fighting for his life. I called to tell them what happened and still have not gotten a call back. From the moment we walked in, just glancing in the back, cages were covered in blankets, sneezing, coughing, horrible noises and smells coming from the back. This was a devastating experience made much worse by the lack of compassion and human decency of the staff.

Wonderful place and staff. Heather was very friendly and responsive to all of my questions over email and the description of my kitty matched my experience with him. Clearly these cats are well-cared for, have a nice environement to live in and are "as advertised" :)

I just adopted this beautiful little girl from Pet Pride (I wish I could upload a photo), after a successful trial adoption to see how she would adapt to the new environment. She's getting lots of love and attention from her new dad and her adoptive brothers. The folks who run this shelter are awesome. They genuinely love the animals entrusted to them and take great care of them. The shelter is a house, which is fitted with numerous cat trees, condos, toys, and everything else one of these furry treasures need. When a cat isn't in his or her pen, it has free reign of the house, or at least that's how it seemed to me, so they aren't caged all the time. Plus, the adoption process seems suited to the cats needs. I've been looking for a long time for a kitten like this little princess and I'm very thankful to the shelter for giving me the opportunity to care for her forever.

The staff were very rude and the condition in which the animals were kept is unsanitary the animals looked neglected and malnourished. The smell that came from the place was horrible

Wonderful cat shelter! Recommended cats based on my expectations. Cats walk freely, so you can easily interact with them and choose the one you like. Very helpful and friendly staff!

Pet pride is a shelter for cats, and is open to the public to come and hang out with the cats, either to adopt or just hang out. Sometimes they have a bunch of kittens as well -- if you're looking to adopt a cat of any age definitely stop by
