Nellie at the front desk is great! I had found a lost homing pigeon with tags on both legs that was asking me for food and shelter. She was quick to respond with pertinent information & where I may be able to go to help this pigeon. She even checked if the other animal hospital was open before giving me their information. It's not everyday you see someone who cares about animals - but Nellie clearly does & she does a 10/10 job to help people with animals too.

My 12 yr old mush face house cat George, developed some awful dental disease. Stopped eating and drinking..St Francis saw us immediately as a new patient, recommended a full dental with extractions after antibiotics. Staff was amazing from desk to doc, my boy is doing fantastic!

A little expensive, very sweet staff. They helped me with an emergency for a stray I found and charged me a little less. The kitten I saved is doing well thanks to them ????

I will be totally honest with you on this the doctors there are absolutely great the doctor's assistants are absolutely great unfortunately I have problems with one person in the whole place that really should not work there at all whatsoever has a really bad attitude and does not know exactly how to deal with people other than that it is an absolutely great place to take your animal any kind of animal they will take care of your pet because they love pets I highly recommend it

I had a terrible experience the front desk people receptionist were terrible, nasty, rude the doctor was inconsiderate my puppy already had received three Bordetella shots and they insisted on giving her another.. they try to sell you and charge you for everything they can think of.. don't use this location don't waste your time don't put your puppy In Harm's Way... they also gave her two vaccines in one day that seems very dangerous we would not do that to a child.. I am very upset please don't use this location.. so many other vets out there..

St Francis took care of both my dogs Maxx and Buster to the end of their life. I'm grateful to have them as my Vet and in my neighborhood. Now I have a 11 week old puppy his name is Cooper I will bring him to them soon for a check-up.

St. Francis is awesome. I had an appointment on Friday 4/09/2021 to do a nail trim on my pet rabbit Benny. The tech who did the trim was very professional and super friendly. It was the first time I used their service and I will definitely return and reffer my friends. I only regret not remembering the techs name. I hope your boss will see this review and send you my regards. Thank you

I posted this same review for their sister hospital: Dr. Frank and Dr. Joe are both knowledgeable veterinarians with fantastic bedside manner. Each vet tech is knowledgeable and caring. My eldest cat was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer two years ago, and she is still alive and healthy thanks to Dr. Frank. I live in NJ now and I make the commute because of how great this practice is.

Our 15 year old cat Shannon was in very bad shape and he told us it was time to end his journey with us. We had no prior experience with this animal hospital, but they made time to allow us come in for an examination and a shot to end his life. The assistants were all caring and calm and the doctor came out to talk with us several times before allowing me to enter the facility for the task at hand. The entire process was handled warmly and professionally. The facility is clean and what is always a difficult and emotional time was made easier. They even provided a waterproof bag to bring him home with us for burial. I couldn't recommend this facility any more than I do now. Thank you. Judith Nadel

Great service, professional our pet gets her shots here , medicines and nail clipping. Full service Vet- animal hospital and a friendly staff. Currently open , observing distancing for the safety of our pets and us. Neighborhood vet worth the trip and while waiting stop in Alphonso’s ( my cousin) for some pastry’s, cookies ; pre made platters are available for holidays no wait just pay and pick up. Then step into Rite aid for just about whatever you need.

I cannot even rate the disgusting, irresponsible, uncaring service of this vet!!!!! It has taken me over 24 hours to write this review because my heart hurt and I was so mad I didn’t want to come in here and use foul language!! Let me start on why I chose this veterinary hospital in the first place. My son brought home a beautiful miniature schnauzer puppy in June to surprise his father and I since we lost our last dog in January. We were and still are thrilled with our new addition to our family . We live two blocks from st. Francis and since we used Bay Street animal hospital in the past, we said let’s go to st. Francis because it’s so close to our home instead of driving cross island. We brought shadow to them for his first visit the beginning of July. We were greeted at the door by a vet tech who whisked our shadow away..I 100 percent understand protocol because of covid, I was not allowed to go with the puppy.. I never once ever met a REAL VET, only the young girls who work there. Shadow had parasites so 3 rounds of treatment and only once did I speak to a REAL vet on a phone call in my car!! To much trouble to come meet the owners! I should have known them they are the worst...but I thought he’s a puppy let’s give them a chance. LAst Monday we changed his canned food and we thought the reason for his diarrhea and vomiting was because of that, so I called and explained to the make believe vets who are the VET TECHS, and they agreed with me and said it must be the food, well he seemed fine for the next three days until yesterday when he again he had diarrhea and was dry heaving. I knew something was wrong so I called. Again a vet tech answered I told them the problems and how I think he’s very sick, she told me ..oh I’m sorry we have one vet on and he’s completely booked, I said this is an emergency, she said call our affiliate ALL SAINTS, so I call over there and another vet tech answers and after I told her my concerns she says oh I’m sorry the vet left for the day!!!!!!!! So now I have a sick dog with diarrhea and vomiting and not one person wants to see him...both st. Francis and all saints said the only appointment they would have would be Monday !!!! Remember he’s 6 months old, sick and they want me to wait!!!!!! I Frantically call Bay Street animal hospital and they say bring him right in....welllllllllll guess what. Shadow ingested something , he was put on an iv for 6 hours, he was immediately given exrays of his stomach and put on meds. If I would have waited till Monday god only knows what could have happened to him ..I should have known the first day when I wasn’t greeted by a dr., that this vet was no good.....I am back to Bay Street where the service, techs and drs. are the most compassionate and loving to my pup!!!! Do yourself a favor, if you are reading this...think twice if a vet does not greet you...runnnnnnn!!!!! Also when a vet tech thinks they know all the answers , makes you wonder .......st. Francis you are lucky I used my head because if anything would have happened to my beautiful shadow , you would have been hearing from my lawyer!

It is a wonderful kind place full of lovely people. The check in and check out procedure with social distancing rules could use a little bit of improvement, but I'm sure they'll get better at doing it.

Dr Battiato is amazing. My 12 year old chihuahua needed dental surgery. He got my baby through and he’s been better then ever. I can not thank him enough. The staff is nice except one older fuller lady with glasses she doesn’t smile and is not very welcoming but the others are great. Would recommend this place 1000 percent

My American Bully has been coming here since he was 12weeks old. Now he is 2 1/2 years old.. This last visit was his 1st emergency they took him right away and scheduled us with a follow up. They even called the next day to see how he was doing.

I can’t say enough about how smarty and kind all the vets and vet techs are here. They always help my dogs 100% I’ve been lucky enough to have seen all the vets there and I love them all the same.

The Best Service ever? Was my review 6 or 7 years ago, At least it used to be! I started using St. Francis with Dr. Augello at the very start and opening of the business here in Staten Island! Now I’m treated by the receptionist assistant, like a second class citizen! Rude, proactive, aggressive, sneaky kiss-up go-getter. Never did I have to deal with a working receptionist who wouldn’t give a customer a chance to talk. Also, because I never got reminder cards or even emails of upcoming Annual Checkup. And, one month past due on my 2 pets’ innoculations, brings me to no “service allowed”! The worst part, I wasn’t even given the opportunity to make an appt.for their check ups bc of her indignant total control of our conversation!!
