had an emergency with our yorkiepoo around 1 o'clock in the afternoon on saturday october 2, 2021 . he was choking on something, and for some reason couldn't stand up. he kept falling over. my husband stuck his finger down his throat, which seemed to help, but he still couldn't stand up. got in the car, raced over to animal health group, and if you know staten island, getting ANYWHERE fast is impossible. after driving through a red light, and making an illegal left turn, we finally arrived at this horrible place. my husband went inside, and after waiting for 10 minutes, the veterinary assistant came out and said 'the doctor has to leave. we can't accomodate you'. i, along with my husband's son, were trying to get in the front door, but were told we couldn't come inside because they had an "aggressive" dog inside. that dog, by the way, had a broken tooth, which they couldn't help with either because the dog was "too aggressive". really?? where else should they have taken him to?? the white castle across the street??? didn't matter anyway, because the 'doctor' had left. DO NOT GO THERE.

Unprofessional staff, they become very rude and snappy when you ask too many questions, especially when it comes to insurance reasons. They will hang the phone up on you and tell you that they won't accept you anymore as a patient when you inquire too much about your pet's case and become annoyed and upset. Wouldn't suggest this place as a go to. Also they're weirdly rude about cats.

Love the doctors and staff!

I have been there many times both for my cat and GSD. They are always nice and helpful. When we decided to take out cat overseas they helped me with every step, asked airlines and destination country to made sure we did everything right. Then we adopted a senior GSD. First thing was visiting their office. They are very gentle with my dog and she loves everybody in this office. Someone always call next day to make sure everything is okay. I don’t think they are more expensive than other vets and give detailed bills. I strongly recommend them.

Bringing my kittens And cats at this practice for the first time I was hoping that I would like it. I did! The staff was wonderful! Very caring to my cats and made me feel comfortable. The 2 Vets that examined my cats were very informative and friendly. I will say I am so pleased with this practice and I will be going there for now on. Thank you.

We took our kitten, Salem to see Dr. Miele today and she was awesome! It is very refreshing to talk to a vet who listens to their clients. She wants to make the care plan one that works not only for Salem, but for our other pets too. There was no hard sell on services and no hidden fees. The vet tech was also very sweet and gentle with Salem. We look forward to bringing Salem and our other pets in over the coming months. Side note....the office is immaculately clean. They also have a dog entrance and cat entrance. The set-up undoubtedly reduces the stress levels of the animals that go through their doors. Our kitten was cool and relaxed the whole visit.

Don’t hesitate to go to this office. They are everything a good animal hospital should be, from the office staff to the doctor. My cat was limping this morning & was in obvious pain. His regular dr would not “squeeze him in” today as an emergency and their next open appointment was in 9 days. So they told me to take him to the emergency hospital on victory blvd. That place got horrible reviews so I opened google and called vets from A-Z and no one had openings. Then I called Animal Health Vet Group who also was booked solid but asked if I could bring him in in an hour. Dr Sether was wonderful & fixed my boy up in no time. The level of care, kindness and professionalism is second to none. Their prices are reasonable & they even have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs. Nice size parking lot too. They get 5 stars from me & I’m extremely picky when it comes to my pets.

The staff here are horrible and the doctors are even worse. They don’t explain anything to you, all they want is your money. I thought it was only me ,new pet owner.I had spoken to a coworker of mine she was having the same issue with them.

From the very first phone call it was a great experience. Very friendly and polite. We bought our fur baby Goliath in yesterday for his first visit. All the staff we encountered were awesome. Every question and concerns we had were addressed. We were given all the necessary information, and what couldn't be given to me on the spot was emailed to me fast. We are extremely pleased with how patient everyone was with us. So glad we picked them.

Very bad service from the staff, they do not explain the rules of the establishment when you make the appointment, as a new client, they didn’t care and are indifferent to your pet. I don’t recommend

Great place for your pets and the people who work there is great

Had to take our dog in to have something cut out of his paw that we were afraid to. They fixed him up fast, were super friendly and called the next day to check up on him. Also have an app so going forward managing appointments and vaccine schedules will be easier.

Highly recommend!!!! Dr. Miele is amazing, she is extremely knowledgable, caring, compassionate and I am so grateful to her!! She helped diagnose and treat my dog who was in so much pain. Now he is back to running around and playing and on the road to recovery!! Her team is amazing from my first call, every staff member has treated me with kindness, professionalism and genuine concern. I am so grateful that my daughter recommended her to me, she is now my forever Vet. Excellent team!!
