Such an amazing staff! They assisted my family and I in a TNR for our backyard cat almost immediately! Love this location and what they stand for! Shout out to Alex for all of the help!

Some of the staff were amazing, helpful and kind. There's a guy with long hair that needs to be fired immediately smh. Arrogant piece of garbage should not be near animals. I had an emergency and he seemed to only want to euthanize a very young kitten... not the place for you to work

There caring sweet and we great with my cat

We went to the place to see the dogs for adoption. It was not possible, they said we have to call and make an appointment after checking the dogs on the website. We went to my car and checked the website, there was only one dog! We called and even they where in the facility they did not answer the phone! Extremely dissapointed! The poor animals inside because where all crying and barking, I am sorry that these kind of people are working there and prefer to kill them to actually put energy to really work and help them to find good families. It's a shame...

Staff was great and friendly.

Acc of New York (Staten Island) is close to the public Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Please be mindful of this info, they don't take any animals, no adoption appointments. Even if they are employees inside the building, they do work for emergencies and take care of the animals already there.

Horrendous facility is missing the back wall using a blue tied down tarp to cover the extreme weather temperatures while housing animals on Jan 23, 2021 when I visited. The bright lights were left on after staff closed. Leaving the animals unable to rest.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean. Very happy with the service.

Been making donations of stuff for years

Attention everyone! Please read my story: I trapped a cat on my backyard, brought it to this shelter and paid a fee. Cat was accepted. Today, I see the same cat again on my backyard. There are just 2 options: shelter workers brought the cat back to my address or simply released it and it found it's way back to my my neighborhood, where he was probably born. Workers of this shelter DO NOT care of animals!! If I had extra time and money I would issue a lawsuit for this exact location and actions of its employees. Dear Staten Islanders, BEWARE! There are nice pet shelters in New Jersey where you can bring or adopt stray cats and dogs. Do Not waste your time and money here! Best Regards Agnia Bulgakova.

Very good people that work there the guy that was helping me was really good, had to give my 3 cats away because my son has allergies was a really hard time saying goodbye to them so many memories, I'm sorry guys I hope they find you a good home, sweetie, midnight, bambam love you guys for ever ????????????????????????????????????

I adopt all my pets from here. I find them very caring and my pets are very healthy and friendly.

Been looking for a kitten everyday on this site all i see is the same cats everyday here they dont even bother to upload new cat pictures. And i see nj everyday upload their cat sites.

When my family came to adopt, they turned us around and said we needed an appointment, They should of posted that in their website.

I was on a mission to bring a furry friend home this week and decided to drop by the ACC of SI twice. My first time I did not find what I was looking for, but one of the staff members was kind and patient enough to speak to me at length about the adoption process and how things work at the shelter. I noticed right away how clean the room where the cats was and how attentive staff were to each animal. It eased a lot of fears I had in considering this "kill" vs "no kill" rescue debate - it ends being a far more nuanced issue than you'd imagine. Bottom line, I went back last night to see if any new cats had come in and left with my new best friend. ACC was thorough, generous, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to give a deserving animal a warm and loving home. Support your local shelter, and if you can't adopt at the moment, donate and find someone who can!
