I cannot say enough good things about this vet, or recommend CAC more highly. When we moved to the area, one of our dogs was quite elderly and we wanted a vet with a wide range of expertise and services. CAC cared for our senior dog with great compassion and expertise until he passed. They also have opthalmological services for our younger dog, and did extensive dental work with her this summer. And now they are treating a special-needs puppy that we rescued just in time for Christmas! The practice is responsive, well-organized, and everyone is extremely nice, too! I am so glad I found this vet; we could not be happier with the care we've received. Definitely 5 stars.

I have been trusting Community Animal with the care of my pets for over 25 years. That alone speaks volumes. Fairly easy to get an appointment and always if there is an emergency. They are kind and compassionate. Highly recommended

Everyone there is always very knowledgeable and professional. I love it there and will continue to bring Bella here as I know she is in good hands and cared for very well. She just learned lay down today and she was playing with all the dogs at the park on Wilbur also. She said thanks again for the card as well. U guys are the best.

I have taken my kitties to Community Animal Hospital(now called Community Animal Care) for the last 40 years. Mid-year I had to have my 15 year old cat euthanized and the staff was so caring, thoughtful and professional(as with my past cats). Last week a new shelter kitten came into my life with sneezing and a runny eye. The veterinary staff gave me an immediate appointment for my sick girl, and gave her her new patient checkup. It's always a pleasure to work with the office staff, and the Vets are outstanding!

Friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. You can see and feel the love and dedication they have by how they treat their patients. I couldn’t be more pleased. Very reasonable too! Dr. Page and Peter were wonderful

We recently moved to poughkeepsie and were looking for an exotic animal specialist for our rabbits. I called them first because they're close to my house and asked if they had one and the receptionist asked me what kind of animal we have. When I told her, she said they see rabbits. I said that what I needed to know was if they had a trained exotic animal specialist. She kept refusing to answer my question, just repeating that they see rabbits all the time, so I went to a different vet. A couple of weeks ago, one of the rabbits had a medical emergency. Since they were close, I called them first. Despite not having the right kind of very on staff, I was desperate enough to call them. They don't see rabbits. At ALL. I don't have any idea why the first person told me that they see them all the time. The nurse or vet who I spoke to was upset that I had been told this, but I don't recall the name of the woman who lied to during that first phone call. I probably would give them a second chance in an emergency if they had the right kind of vet, but we only have rabbits, so I don't need to make that decision.

RUDE and UNCARING my RagDoll Cat had a serious kidney infection and the closest they could see her was 2 weeks even after explaining how much she was suffering. I never canceled the appointment but HAD to find a vet that day and found and emergency clinic that diagnosed her with a kidney infection and UTI .When I called to make a follow up with Community they wanted a deposit up front since another vet called for her charts and I must wait 3 weeks for an opening no compassion what so ever .

Community Animal Care always does everything possible to provide thorough and quality care. They take their time with you and their pet, and involve you in every step of treatment. I have never trusted a Vet more!

Dr. Page and Jacob were great. Hush was very comfortable before and after the temperature probe of indignity. Very happy to be a part of the Community Animal Hospital pet parents.

The people were friendly and the doctor took his time to explain to me the potential problems. What I did not receive was a wrwitten report of the examination, the results of the blood test, and a copy of the xray. Please send them to me via email, thank you.

I brought my 5 y/o cat in who is drooling when eating or drinking, having trouble standing and walking and losing fur on her front legs. After $700 of blood tests and fluids, they told me, "She is perfectly fine!" Two weeks later she is still in the same poor condition. I know she is not herself and wish they could help, or at least admit that there is something wrong with her.

These folks are phenomenal. The vet techs are friendly and professional and the veterinarians that I've interacted with genuinely care. I've brought my cat here since I've moved and I've found everyone to be very thorough. He had dental surgery recently and they did an extraordinary job. He's made a full recovery and along the process, everyone was accessible and patient in answering questions as well as following up with me directly, which was gratifying. I couldn't give a stronger endorsement!

I had a great experience at CAC. The doctor and technician both took their time to speak with me about my dog. I didn't feel rushed at all. They addressed all my concerns.

This is the best. Very thorough. Takes the time to make sure you understand diagnosis; patient and takes time to listen to you and answer any questions you may have. Everyone there is very friendly. Community was a referral from an emergency, overnight hospital I took my puppy. So glad they did. I am having all my pets records transferred.. I cannot say enough how much I love them.

My 11 month old dog had a large sore on her neck that she was constantly scratching. I called Community and explained my concerns about the dog and even though they had never seen her before, they quickly gave me an appointment for that same day.

I called first thing in the morning because I thought there was something caught in my dog Piper's throat & they had me come in immediately. As soon as I arrived they took Piper into their office & treated her. Piper is back being her puppy self & she now loves going to see Dr. Peterson DVM. Dr. Peterson DVM is fantastic I can not say enough good things about him, he is for sure 1 of the best Vets I have brought my dogs to in my 60+ years. Plus the prices are very fair & Piper seems to like going too.

I’m sure my experience is similar to many others, that have either come from other Vets or started here, and have received some of the best Pet family care in the area. The staff is top notch and the Dr’s cannot be more caring and professional. Our Pup (11yo) is a rescue and only a couple years in our pack. She has developed some serious health issues and had become quite sick, and is working hard on recovering. Instantly the Dr’s assured me of the coming updates and flow of information. Absolutely welcomed all my questions and phone calls and were 100% upfront about the possible costs and fees. The Staff and Dr’s made myself and my valuable family member feel welcome and ready to be treated. Their experience and professional manner made us feel heard and that our girl was a singular priority. With each visit our Pup seemed at ease and comfortable. Gaining back health and vitality at each treatment and decision. So here’s our little story... I could not be any happier with Community Animal Care. Hands down, the place to help your valuable family members issues with ease, and a comfortable knowledge that it will be done like you’d want it to be done.

All the veterinarians that have seen and treated our dog Sandy are compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. The doctors always call back when I have a concern. The technicians are also very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff are very friendly and efficient. Congratulations to Dr. Rosie on her new baby girl!
