VCA Davis Animal Hospital Stamford, New York

Have 2 cats that went to see 2 different vets, the first one check my Nybbi throughly everywhere and was really good. Not to mention that it was my first time there, the price was okay. Well I did a second appointment for my other cat and another vet saw her, didn’t check her like the first one, and told me my cat needs dental work and possibly an extraction. Price was double than two weeks before. And to be honest I made an appointment with my prior vet, that was located in my old town, just to be told that she don’t need any dental work, he even showed me the gums where the prior vet told me she need it the extraction. So be careful who is seeing your pet there.

Excellent veterinary service. Friendly helpful staff and a very knowledgeable doctor. If you're looking for a veterinarian service I would definitely contact them

Took 3 year old in-door cat for routine yearly check-up. I was told cat needed Rabbies vaccine, FVRCP Vaccine and Fecal Test. Although cat had it, she said does not harm cat to get another. I thought it was included in charge for first exam because their is no disclosure of additional costs on coupon for first visit. Doctor says all things are required of cat without disclosing additional costs. Was told they do not disclose costs and would make note on my file that "I" need to have costs told before doing anything to my cat. Talking to other professionals they dispute the required vaccines and tests specified by this doctor because indoor cats do not need those. Gimmick? I think so. Taken advantage of and will NEVER go back.

Being a dog owner and having a professional and reliable vet was a challenge, but the minute we walked in the door I knew we have found the vet we have been looking for. Dr.Alie and her tech (sorry forgot her name) were absolutely amazing & very personable. I appreciate that she did not push things and was aware of all my concerns with both of my dogs. We have 1yr old Golden retriever & a 13yr old dachshund and she was the vet they needed! I would also like to mention your staff member Rose was everything that someone that works with people and animals should be. She was so kind and patient and work through all my questions financially and appointments wise!! Rose was very very helpful! I am glad that my dogs have a vet they can depend on!!!!!!!!! The level of care, both pre and during COVID, are exceptional. All who work there are caring and wonderful people. Absolutely recommend for the best care for your pets

Wonderful staff! I have a 14 year old Shih Tzu and she receives the absolute best care at VCA Davis Stamford! All the doctors are amazing. The practice is very professional and they are beyond communicative via phone, text and email. If you have concerns about safety, their Covid protocols are the top notch! I highly recommend VCA!

For the most part these veterinarians are excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend VCA Davis to a friend. The only thing I find difficult are their prices which I find extremely high. However, when your dog is sick you want good competence and fast service. That they provide.

Very expensive in terms of lab exams and prescriptions . and I see as not professional when they sell a prescribed medicine such as Mirtazapine 15mg - generic - appetite stimulant - for $8 DOLLARS per pill if you can easily find the same prescription at Chewy , Petmeds, VetRXDirect, mailmyprescription for something between $0,12 - 0,50 CENTS per pill!!!! I think that they should tell their clients how much they charge and suggest them to search around for better price. Charge 7000% more than the market is abusive and disrespectful with the clients !

Vca has the greatest veterinarian's and the greatest staff ever.. they are kind they are compassionate and really do care about you and your pets

I can't recommend VCA Davis enough. I live in Norwalk so the location is a bit out of the way for me but it's well worth it. Originally, I would always request the same Dr (because he's great) but over time I've learned they're all great and you can't go wrong! They consistently work with my schedule and have made time for me when one of my pets has needed an urgent appointment. They have been SO kind and SO realistic about treatment options and finances. When I first adopted a senior cat (at 10-11 years old) they were great about explaining to me what really needed to be done and what things were truly optional (things like teeth extractions or extra diagnoses for her presumed cerebellar hypoplasia). I really appreciated that they didn't shame me for not being able to spend thousands of dollars on procedures that weren't totally necessary for my cat to have a good quality of life. When my senior cat was having bladder issues, they were GREAT about giving me options at different price points and explaining the benefits of each. In the end, I was able to treat it through prescription diet and was able to avoid VERY expensive surgery. Today, another cat was having chronic stomach trouble and couldn't keep any food down (in the midst of a pandemic, of course!). They squeezed me in for a same day appointment and treated us with such great care. The doctors are so kind and helpful.

Very thorough, and staff from receptionist to doctors were super friendly. Only complaint was the costs, wow, not cheap but then again the service was top notch!

We love VCA!! They have always been so good to us and Dr. Berkowitz is amazing! What we like most is their "recommended" course of action was NEVER the most expensive. It was obvious that the doctors and staff were looking out for what was best for our four-legged loved ones. They truly care about our pets (almost as much as we do!). In fact, we moved to Ridgefield and still bring our pets here for second opinions and answers that are more clear, grounded, and in the best interest of our fur-babies!

Since I adopted my cat Charlie in 2012, I have been taking him to see 2 of the BEST veterinarians: Dr. William Lovers and Dr. Aberle when they were both at Animal Hospital of Greenwich Stamford. (Dr. Aberle left the practice) and then Dr. Lovers joined/combined with VCA Davis in Stamford. Dr. Lovers is the BEST and he helped Charlie when it was discovered he had IBD and lost approximately 3 pounds in 3 months. I loved Dr. Lovers so much that when I moved almost an hour away, I still made the drive. Though the cat was not happy about that drive. Dr. Lovers is extremely kind, thoughtful and attentive. He always followed up with any issue Charlie had. I very recently moved to Florida and of course no longer can have Charlie see Dr. Lovers. He even said if I ever had any questions, that I can always call him even though I’m miles away. I will truly, truly miss Dr. Lovers! If anyone chooses to go to VCA Davis Stamford, be sure to see Dr. Lovers!!

The ladies at the front desk are amazing and pleasant, the nurses are so caring and great with the pets, and the doctors really know their stuff. It is a little expensive (most vets are), but it is worth it.

The worst overpriced facility I've ever been too! They push you to get everything under the sun unnecessarily;/ I'm sure if you do your research you'll find a better place for your pet.. it's a total shame!

Have been taking my dog there since I got her as a puppy, I’ve mainly always visited with Dr. Schmidt and she’s incredible, genuinely loves and cares for my Dog. Everyone there is great and super family-like. Needless to say, my dog is my baby and no dog likes the vet but I feel good knowing they treat her the best and are always really great on communication.

Over charged me and they insinuated that I don't groom my puppy. Changed his vet, this is UNACCEPTABLE.

We love them and they love our girl! This has always been our vet.

They will misdiagnose your dog for an extra buck. They are the dishonest car mechanics of the veterinary world. Edit: VCA points out below that I haven't used their services in over a year. Of course I haven't. Who would bring their dog back after getting billed thousands for unapproved medications and procedures. The next vet we went to says that the unapproved drugs you prescribed my dog made him blind. Who would return to such a place of business?

Overpriced for a Stamford location...Greenwich prices. Extra add on charges at every turn. Clueless staff & drs ... one doesn’t know what the other has said & done despite notes in my pets file! ‘Dr’ who ‘didn’t know’ what 2 of the meds the previous ‘Dr’ prescribed even were...WHAT?! Incompetence makes me nervous. Picking up files & changing vets ASAP.

Dr. Berkowitz and the staff were quick to see my dog and get a treatment plan together.

Greeted with a smile! Compassionate and attentive doctors and assistants! Kudos to management because my experience was superb!

They love all pets, good attention, excellent srvice.
