Dr. Kaplan, Dr. B, along with the entire staff at Smithtown animal hospital go above and beyond for their patients and any animals in need. The genuine love, concern and care they provide really shows what kind of people they are at their core and I can't say enough good things about the whole team.

Chimney and Wallow have been going here since they were kittens. Ive never had a problem. They are truly the best!!!. Highly recommended. ❤️‍????❤️‍????

I've been going to Smithtown Animal Hospital since 2007. They've attended to every dog I've ever owned or have had in my care . Very compassionate when any of my dogs have been ill, hurt or worse. Here we are 2021 and I am still with SAH . No one else I rather go to. I'm simply happy there.

I can’t say enough about the doctors and staff at Smithtown Animal Hospital. The love and care they give to my dogs are over and above anything I could hope for. They all truly care about their patients and it shows. I have total confidence my senior girls are in great hands.

Always takes care of my fur babies

First time taking my dog and cat to this veterinarian. People aren't allowed in yet so they came to my car to escort my babies inside and I communicated with the Dr by phone for the visit. He was thorough and my pets were calm, which I wasn't expecting. The techs were great too.

Dr Kim Bergendorff has NUMEROUS times saved my dogs and my family members dogs and cats lives..She saved my dog Gizmo life when she had cancer, she kept my daughters dog Ivory Rose alive with heart disease for as long as humanly possible ..She saved the life of my niece puppy who was losing kidney and organ functions..caused by 2 coins (who knew a penny made b4 1970] is extremely toxic to dogs if swallowed...Dr Bergendorff diagnosed this when an overnight Emergency vet couldn't figure out why a puppy was in failure..2 min ..is all it tooK for her to diagnose this and sent the pup for Emergency endoscopy..not to mention all the times she has been there for our cats as well.. She is the golden standard of veterinarians and she has a golden heart and we love her immensely... Doctor Kaplan is a great guy as well...

I found an injured feral cat in my yard who ended up testing positive for feline aids. Because his illness made him resistant to healing, no vet I brought him to was able to heal the gaping wound he had on his neck. To make matters worse it was very difficult to get him to and from vet appointments because of his feral nature. I had heard good things about Dr. Kaplan and took Roscoe to Smithtown Animal Hospital. Dr. Kaplan formulated a very unique treatment plan and kept Roscoe at the hospital from September through April. By the time he came home at the end of April, Roscoe was completely healed and, because of all the love and attention Dr. Kaplan’s wonderful staff gave him, he was friendly and could be pet and carried. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kaplan and his staff. If not for them Roscoe would not be the happy, healthy, sweet boy he is today.

Everyone at this practice is nice, caring & professional. I trust Dr. Kaplan & Dr. Bergendorff to give the best care possible to my pets. They’ve been really great with all of them over the years.

Ok I'm biased as I am a veterinarian here but Google keeps asking me to rate it so finally I shall. Great place to work and the staff is suberb. There's a reason I have worked there with Dr. Kaplan for almost 15 years. We care about our patients and their owners and strive to do our best for them. Everyone who works here feels the same and it shows.

After years of seeing various vetanarians, I'm very happy with Dr. Kaplan...he has taken great care of our dog and cats! He has always gone above and beyond for our family!
