I unfortunately I had to visit late last night with my cat that was experiencing a medical emergency. I’ve never been here before and didn’t even have the chance to read any reviews. The entire staff is very compassionate. This isn’t like many vets offices that I’ve visited that just want to make you spend your life’s savings on saving your pet. The prices are fair. I feel they went above and beyond to help my pet. I had to make the decision to put my cat to sleep last night but I was confident they did everything that they could do and it was the most humane decision to make. Thank you so much to every last person there last night. You’re hero’s.

no one ever wants to end up at the emergency vet but if I ever need to again this will be my only option. Great staff, keep me completely updated, explained everything, very clean and more then fair priced and they don't surprise you with any costs at the end it's all on their estimate.

I would HIGHLY recommend Veterinary Emergency Group in Commack. Unfortunately, I needed to bring my sick Yellow Lab to an emergency facility. I researched facilities in the area and found Veterinary Emergency Group in Commack, a 24 hour emergency hospital. I cannot begin to express the utmost outstanding and phenomenal care they gave to myself and my pet. I wish I could name each and every doctor and assistant I was in contact with during my visit and thank them. The professionalism, knowledge and care for my pet's sickness was second to none. My wife and I would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the people at Veterinary Emergency Group in Commack.

I had the most incredible experience here. My 1yr old chicken has been very sick, the doctors and staff were all extremely kind and knowledgeable (especially Dr. Donovan). Even with a full house of emergencies their ability to be thorough and calm was impeccable. As someone who personally works in the veterinary field, I am wildly impressed and would recommend anyone here. ????

I have a fairly volatile Malinois and the staff was wonderful with him. They allowed me to handle him the way he needs and didn’t try to engage with him beyond what was necessary. I’m also super happy with the way the vet discussed steps with me and read me the options rather than pushing expensive diagnostics. The cost was also super reasonable considering an emergency vet. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Donovan and the entire staff at VEG. They were kind, compassionate & calm as we made the decision to put our Sydnee down. Thank you so very much for making an incredibly difficult day a little bit easier.

VEG Commack really has the most caring group of professionals in the industry. We were impressed by their communication and transparency. We were given clear options for treatment for our sick little cat who we decided to hospitalize overnight after multiple visits. December 26, 2021. Day after Christmas may have contributed to this very poor review. In three hours of waiting they accomplished a blood test. The results were to be completed in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes I complained and got the results. After realizing they could not provide our pet with what he needed, we left. He is seriously ill and needed hospitalization. I should have left after waiting an hour! Very displeased.

This place was absolutely amazing! The staff was the best. I love my dog Nismo but don’t have too much money to spend. They charged me no unnecessary fees, and gave me a great price to take care of my dog. They went over financing options and made sure Nismo could get the care he needs! The woman at the front desk made the experience even better. Me and my boyfriend were nervous and anxious for our dog, she talked to us and completely took our mind off things. The nurses and doctors made sure we understood the process and gave us many options to chose from. The building was extremely clean and I felt comfortable there. If you’re looking for a place to bring your pet, this is the place you need to go. They all took great care of Nismo and I would go back there if I ever have another emergency- hopefully not. Thank you everyone at veterinary emergency group!

Beyond 5 Stars for this VEG location ???? !!! Our doggy Sparky was recently treated and released from VEG Commack, Long Island. The Doctors here including Dr. Donovan, Dr. Gray, Dr. Rice, Dr. Costa, and Dr. Mausser were simply AMAZING ! They treated Sparky for Pancreatitis and kept us informed of his progress on a daily basis ! Sparky is feeling much better Thanks to the efforts of the Doctors mentioned and the rest of the Super caring team ...Michelle, Allie, Diane, Steven, Jolene, and others involved. Highly recommend this location. The level of care and compassion is very impressive. The wait to see the Doctor initially was less than 15 minutes. Thank you VEG Commack , especially Dr. Donovan !!! ❤️

I brought my very sick cat into the commack location yesterday. From the minute I called I was treated with such kindness and compassion. My Mia is 17 and a half years old and when she fell so sick so suddenly I was expecting the worst. The entire team was incredible and extremely efficient in taking care of her and quickly getting her the tests and treatment she needed to begin to feel better. They were very upfront with me about the cost of everything (which is unusual in these situations in other vets I’ve been too) and I was so impressed with how everything was handled. Special shout-out to Dr. Donovan who kept me updated every step of the way with phone calls throughout the night on Mia’s progress and answered all my questions with patience. Also a big thank you to Jake who I believe is one of the students. I was an absolute wreck, very upset and his calm demeanor really helped me to focus and make the decisions I needed. Mia is doing well and is home not even 24 hours later. I am so incredibly grateful to you all and sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I highly recommend this veterinarian emergency group. My dog had a huge tic on his face . They took us right away. The staff was professional, nice and the office was very clean. They didn’t even charge us for the visit.

Very friendly staffs and veterinarians. There were a specialist who’s great with reptiles and she gave us a lot of infos and care for our turtle. Highly recommend this place.

I rarley write reviews but this place deserves more than 5 stars. My fiancé and I brought our 11 month old puppy when he was acting very lethargic, falling over, couldn’t keep his eyes open. As we were rushing there he was nodding out and I thought he was dying right there. My fiancé called in tears saying please hurry when we get there. As soon as we pull in multiple nurses and doctors came running out. They allowed us to stay with him while they ran a bunch of tests which most places don’t do. There was ALWAYS a staff member next to Bruno, petting him, loving him. They made us feel so comfortable. The absolute best emergency vet actually ANY vet hospital so have been to. Highly highly recommend.

Lindsey was so kind and thorough for a tick removal. Everyone was extremely nice and caring. Would 100% go back if necessary. Fantastic.

We had to bring our cat here to be put down. He was old and had incurable metastatic cancer. We did not know these people at all, as my cat had been treated elsewhere. When the time came, my vet could not give us an appointment until much later in the day. This clinic took us right away, gave us a private room to be with him until the end. They were completely caring, respectful and professional during this difficult time.

I came in last week due my kitten developing behavioral problems that was unspoken for. I called prior to my visit and spoke to Dr. Donovan and explained my situation. As I entered the vet, I was taken directly in and my kittens vitals were taken. The vet tech's were calm and collected and managed my kitten so well. Dr. Donovan was beyond nice. She answered all my questions to the best of her knowledge, provided insight and her bedside manner was impeccable. She took all standard precautions to make sure nothing was wrong with my kitten and did not order excessive testings just for billing purposes. Her and the rest of the staff were so nice and attentive. I recommend coming here if your fluffy baby has any problems (fingers crossed they do not!). It is worth the drive for the quality service you get!

EVERYONE here was amazing. Had to bring our 14 year old dog in who was not doing well. Unfortunately we had to put him down. It was so nice to see how caring and thoughtful everybody was, thank you so much.

Dr. Ashley Gray & her team were really wonderful. They were all very friendly & efficient. And super great with my senior cat! Dr Gray took the time to talk me through everything & helped rule out issues through different diagnostics. I was able to walk right in & although once into the room there was a long wait I didn’t mind being this is a walk in clinic it is to be expected. Highly recommend this clinic.

The whole team took really good care of my cat Willow. it wasn’t long until I started to notice the treatment plan they put her on was making her feel so much better. I am really grateful for them

We had taken in a cat recently who ended up being in bad shape. They helped us give him a chance at life. Unfortunately he passed away but Dr. Gray, Dr. Donovan and everyone we interacted with and that helped us was unbelievably supportive and sweet and knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking your pets here for any emergency needs. I can’t thank them enough for helping us give this sweet boy a chance.
