Everyone here was very professional. Dr Ellman was knowledgeable and informative. We would definitely bring our cat to them again.

Been here twice and both times got me in and out. As well my cat is not the easiest to deal with and they do great.

I wouldn't have my dogs cared for by anyone else. Outstanding staff!

Inhumane business My wife and I are from out of town and got lost walking. This vet hospital is the only thing we had seen for miles. I simply asked the two receptionist for a cup of water and no one would help us. I was wearing a mask and polite. If they couldn’t even give a cup of water to two stranded hikers how do you think they’ll treat your animals.

My cat is always happy to go to the vet here, which isn't something you hear people say often, so 5 stars.

They have been so amazing with all of my animals we are in the process to get another dog since ours passed 5 months ago and we will be taking him here

They take great care of my doggy

My cat has a wound on her neck, she came with it from a local place. I wasn't able to touch her for 3 weeks. I'm at the point now where I can actually pick her up for 30 seconds and I found an expensive carrier she has gone into voluntarily so I was looking for an appt. tomorrow, willing to pay any amount of money for emergency care, and they told me to go to the emergency clinic where I would be charged $500 and told to go to my vet. NO EMERGENCY HOURS? Forget it.

They are honest and caring people.

Staff is very gentle and sympathetic when it comes to the animals. The prices are also very reasonable in my experience. I come here to see Dr. Ellman as she is the exotics vet and I have pet rats. She is always great with my boys and she definitely knows what she is doing. I have lost rats and recently had to put one of my boys to sleep and they were so professional, sympathetic, and helpful -they have on site cremation so that made the experience a little easier as I didnt have to worry about losing my boy a second time. After picking up his ashes I also received a very lovely card in the mail with a note written in it and that was absolutely above and beyond. This is actually the second sympathy card I had received. I would absolutely recommend bringing any pets here.

Dr Winkler is the Best. Max loves her and the size of the waiting room and treatment rooms are like going to a Hilton. May be a bit more costly but it doesn't matter MAX feels more comfortable with the room and surroundings.

The doctors are incredible. Very affectionate and loving to my pets. I would highly recommend this practice and it's staff.

First and last visit. This vet visit felt messed up and unlike any other I've experienced. Did not like the vibes I got from Dr. Crystal Winkler; she was insistent upon muzzling my sweet and tiny dog for a basic physical exam (heart rate, feeling body for abnormalities, etc.) which was surprising to me as we have seen many vets for much more "invasive" visits, never once requiring any sort of restraint. Dr. Winkler doesn't seem to be an animal person; she didn't regard my pet with the respect, care, or confidence I expect in a vet. I travel a lot so have seen a lot of vets - never have I seen one touch an animal so unlovingly. Start to finish this visit was a fairly traumatic experience, one I'm still trying to forget and regret subjecting my dog to. >>>I'm writing the review I wish I had read before visiting this practice.<<< On a positive note however, I want to make mention of Vet Assistant Carly Voerg - she was super competent and wonderful. If Carly had been the doctor, we would for sure be returning.

I've been going to south peak for years and have never had a problem they are the nicest and most professial vets around, Dr.Ellman is especially good and is the best doctor my pets have seen.

These people wanted $350 to groom my cat, they wanted to do bloodwork and sedate them, sedation is not good for an animal, not good for people, and unnecessary to groom a cat unless it has serious behavioral problems. the staff was rude and disregarded my concern for my cat to be prodded and sedated when I was only asking about grooming. This kind of operation is what crooked surgeons call CFB, cut for bucks, they are using their position of authority to convince people to pay for needless services. Crooks

Avoid. Go to Catskill or Kingston or Rhinebeck. Save money, get better results.

Amazing Vet, works with you and they staff so nice.

I've been taking my cats here for 18 months now and could not be happier with the level of care this clinic provides. I've seen both Dr. Ellman and Dr. Winkler and love them both. I've found the highest level of professional expertise and compassionate caring from both them and their staff. The clinic is clean, well maintained and well-run. Very highly recommended veterinary clinic.

I don't know what clinic the previous reviewers visited. I've been going to this place off and on for 15 years (I live in the city and go when I am upstate). There has NEVER been a doctor with a hairy chest and gold chains, and I've been through all of them, male and female. I'm sorry the previous reviewer had a bad experience with the front desk staff. I have sometimes walked and and there was nobody there, but it's only for a minute, and they have always been lovely to me. I suspect that this is a review for a different clinic as the website attached is willownds, which is not South Peak at all. Dr Leighton is a caring veterinarian who has an awesome bedside manner and recommends only the best for your pet, big or small. Highly recommended.
