We just recently put our dog Gracie down. They were so supportive, polite, and understanding. They knew her 14 years and every visit was perfect!

Friendly and warm veterinary establishment. The people here are organized and care about the work they do, whenever I come here I am never left out of the loop or disappointed, it's obvious they want pets to be happy and their owners to be informed and make the best decisions for their pets.

I just know they are friendly and courteous. Dr. Coiro is a great doctor and wonderful human being. One of the other doctors, not mentioning names, is not so courteous, nor friendly. He may think he’s being professional, but it comes down to being rude and dismissive. Shows no compassion for the animals.

Great experience 3 hunting dogs. The Dr is open and honest about my options for the dogs health, with fair and reasonable prices. Much happier than with my former vet.

As a first time cat owner, I spent a lot of time researching vets. This location happened to be the closest and with the earliest available. I walked in ready to expect a vet who quickly sees my cat, rushes and is ready to bill for additional testing. The complete opposite happened. Dr.Baldino was wonderful. He took his time to examine and explain what was going on with my cat. He allowed me in the examination room and was very kind and gentle. He offered me all options, his fair advice and opinion on what was necessary and optional. It’s very hard to find doctors who care about their patients and clients in terms of what is necessary billing and what procedures aren’t necessary. I am beyond satisfied and impressed with the great service. The front desk was very helpful and fast as well. It’s very hard for me to say and I am a very critical person to trust doctors that easily. But I’m happy to say that I trust Dr.Baldino in this first visit as he is compassionate and caring in what he does.

I first brought my pet to them because they did all the vaccines and care for smithtown animal shelter were we got her. They all were wonderful and caring and there prices are reasonable.

This veterinary hospital was an amazing place to bring your pets and exotic pets. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that the exotic doctor has chosen to no longer treat rabbits because they "TAKE TOO LONG". (The receptionist's words) There are so few exotic pet doctors on LI and it bothers me his reasoning. Why would you shirk your responsibility as a doctor? Is it for the money? Treating more dogs and cats is faster and more profitable than rabbits? If you don't want to take the time to see my loved one then I don't want to see you.

Everyone there truly cares about the pets..The doctors are amazing and take time to ho through everything the family. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!

This place was recommended to me I have yet to attend my go to my appointment but they were so accommodating and very knowledgeable I feel very comfortable bringing my pet there knowing how caring they were how efficient they were and the recommendations that came along with it

Great experience! One of the few vets around that care for guinea pigs, and they do a great job! They're always in time, the doctor spends time with us, answering any questions my kids have, and the front desk staff is friendly. I highly recommend them!

We took one of our rabbits to have her eye examined. The staff was courteous and professional. After examination and some conversation with us, the doctor suggested that the cause of the irritation had run its course and that no treatment was necessary. He did offer the option of antibiotic drops if we were still concerned, but made it clear it was more for our peace of mind than medical necessity.

I've been bringing my pets here for 17 years, wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The doctors along with the staff are very caring and know that our pets are our family. Highly recommend them!

After years of dealing with the very kind and compassionate Dr Baldino at SVH we were told that we could not both be at the euthanizing of our beloved dog Ryan. Dr Baldino stated that the practice owner had set that rule and that there was nothing he could do. After years of taking our money, at the end they will not be there for you. Blaming it on COVID-19 was easy! We then called our Vets in the area, all saying we could be with Ryan’s end of journey. We went somewhere else and were with our guy. We suggest you should too!

I came in for my kittens vaccines and they had eaten something they shouldn’t have so we were concerned and wanted to get them checked. They didn’t answer any questions nor do any checkup. They also refused to trim their nails, giving an excuse that they weren’t behaving, meanwhile one of them just hissed once (which never happens at their regular vet). It seemed like they just didn’t want to help us whatsoever and wanted us to leave as soon as possible, maybe because we aren’t white. Never coming back!!

They care and have taken excellent care of our two shepherds and our cat.

For me this is the best Vet I got for my pet dog Max. The staff is so responsive and fast. Most of the time I was able to get my pet’s need done in less than 30 minutes and back home. Most affordable charges around This area !

Smithaven Veterinary is wonderful. They are very prompt with getting you an appointment. The vet speaks to you directly and always informs you of what he is doing and what he would reccomend depending on the situation. Staff is friendly and all are very proffesional and caring.

I just started bringing my Rottweiler Savage there this year during the lockdown and I was nervous because I couldn’t go inside. They took such good care of Savage and the vet called me and was so thorough on the phone I felt super comfortable and at ease during hard times. ANGELICA grooms Savage and is THE BEST!! My dog in the last 4 years has never let anyone bathe him except me (I’ve been chased down in the parking lot because he wasn’t having anyone else touch him) and I finally don’t have to do it anymore! He LOVES ANGELICA and she’s so good that she’s really busy so book in advance :)

Best veterinarian ever. They never try to upsell you. They don't try to make you feel guilty for not spending thousands of dollars to try to extend the life of your pet beyond the natural end. If what they have is not curable and their quality of life is just going to decline, they will be straight up with you. Everyone on the staff here is so very kind and compassionate and understanding. I have had nothing but good experiences with this place.
