Good place to buy pets!

Was in & out. . . .w/someone who OWNED a pet. I do not.

Seems they had low stock on stuff I did find dog food but scarse understandably in this crazy ????time

Staff is friendly facility clean and they often have the products that I'm seeking for my turtles and dog.

Best place to spoil your fur baby! Has everything from their head to their toe????

Petco great store. Not as many sales as used to be. I did not like their grooming services. I took my dog and paid $118 for service and he looked like I could cut him on my own and there was two people holding a 4 lb dog. So needless to say their grooming services are not that great but their regular services inside the store and their veterinarian services are amazing.

Andrea went above and beyond for me today❤...I am pregnant and was nervous about blowing up an donut pillow for my sick dog and she offered to blow it up for me personally because she didn't have a pump. Thank you so much for that ????

Nice clean, friendly environment. Good display of toys and treats for dogs but I would have liked a larger selection of leads and collars.

Dissatisfied, again! I've been going for weeks, spending $$ every time, I'm a regular - looking for the same item. CAT GRASS! For weeks now, actually more like 2 months, they have let the existing grass grow, overgrown and cut back with a scissors, still kept it out, neglected it and last week it was in horrible shape, all shriveled on the floor in the corner. Still for sale. Cats need grass now, more in the fall and winter as their coast change. I spoke with the salesman, which all I got was the Covid line. Why, at the height of Covid, the only thing we ran out of was TP? Now everything is off the shelf. Petco can't get my cat food but Chewy can get it practically overnight. Poor planning. I need that already grown grass, now!

I came into the store looking for a very specific type of product for one of my dogs (eye wash). My confidence in finding what I sought was rewarded by the ease in which I found the product and the options that were available so that I could get the right one. The checkout experience was top-notch as always.

I went to get some fish for my tank. The employee, Gabe, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable about fish and didn't want me to put fish in my tank that wouldn't work so he spent time figuring that out. Workers like Gabe should be recognized!

I don't know guys it feels like this place is going out of business... They have only one person to be seen most of the time and the last time I went to pick up crickets they said they didn't have much. Where's the staff? Where's the dogs? It's a ghost town up in this place. They have the small animals available with most animal and pet needs so they are good for that.. just a crumby in-store atmosphere.

So so vetco services... patchogue is way better.

Honestly the best petco I’ve been to on Long Island, from what I’ve seen the staff all seem to have a love for animals and made sure I knew how to take care and actually gave me all accurate info unlike most petcos. One of the employees was so nice to even go through every hamster enclosure and picked out the nicest one. Every time I go into the store they always ask me how my hamster is doing and genuinely seem to care. I also noticed it’s one of the only petcos that doesn’t pick up mice by their tale (which can cause them to break their tale if not held by the base and can lead to a expensive vet visit and the mouse being very aggressive from trauma) I would give it a 5 star but I really find petco as a whole industry wrong, I hate how they sell critter carriers with it being stated it should be used as a permanent cage. I also dislike how they sell a lot of food with really bad things for hamsters and gerbils like dyes. I also dislike how they sell pine and cedar bedding. One good thing is that they don’t sell mesh wheels (at least at this petco) which is good.

Every time I order online for in-store pick up I get an email stating that my items are ready. I arrive at the store and every time, and I mean every time, there are items not in my order because they are now out of stock. My most recent online purchase I was charged for 2 items $60, I went and picked up my order and they only had 1 item the other, now apparently out of stock, was not there. I was not refunded any money and I am currently still being charged for the 2 items. This is unprofessional and unacceptable, and this has happened every time I have ordered online from petco. This will be the absolute last purchase I make from this store.
