Ridgemont Animal Hospital Rochester, New York

We bought our family dog and my cat to this vet for the first time last week. (Separate appts) The front staff and vet techs were friendly and helpful. Vets very knowledgeable and explained everything carefully. But, they're very expensive!

Excellent staff. Had my dog there. Took good care of her. Answer all my questions.

Only in it for the money

Never been to a vet where your animal goes into an immediate downward spiral in health AFTER your vet visit. My animal DIED because of being treated as a number and dollar sign instead of an animal that mattered and needed undivided attention. The doctor didn’t even read my pet’s prior history from a different vet as he claimed he didn’t have time to. Really? Now our beloved pet is dead because of wrong prescription and list goes on. Also, these people buy bots, AS OTHERS HAVE SAID IN THE REVIEWS, to make up for all the negative reviews. PRICE GOUGING is also their preferred method of payment. Don't ever expect a simple visit would cost you anywhere lower than $200. All they do is run to the back office and find ways to jack up the price on everything. Never seen such outrageous medical price. If you love your pet and you want them to stay alive and healthy, please, for the sake of your animal, STAY AWAY from this place.

Four year old cats don't just fall over and die after their vet visits. I begged you to please read my cat's medical history before prescribing her anything and you said you were "too busy" and didn't have the time? Nothing short of medical negligence. You run your office like a cattle call. All my cat was to you was a number and a $ sign.

DO NOT COME HERE! If you value the life of your pet then avoid this place at all costs.

Love the staff and Veterinarians. I've been taking my pets to Dr Houska for 36 years! Dr. Grewal is wonderful as well. Very knowledgeable.

Caring vets and tech staff

My dog needed emergency surgery and no vets wanted to take her in, but Dr.Grewal took my dog in right away and saved her life.. Super grateful that I was able to find this place :)

Great experience and wonderful staff

I received excellent treatment there. The staff was so helpful and they were all very nice. This is the only animal hospital I will be going to from now on.

I live this vet. We left for awhile to try one closer to our home, what a mistake. We are back for good.

Great clinic with knowledgeable staff and friendly vets. Very expensive though. Charged for a full exam for booster shots when just had a full exam 3 weeks prior and can't get the shots without the exam. Quite a rip-off. Only stuck with them because they were great during Covid when it was almost impossible to get an appointment. The lady that made the appointment for me went above and beyond to accommodate and price was very fair. Since then, can't go to an appointment without spending $300, even for booster shots. The kindness and knowledge of the staff is the only reason for the 3 stars, without them it would be 1.

They're over priced and will try to take advantage of you at a time when your emotions may be running high for fear of losing your furry family member. Definitely will choose a different office next time. I called recently to inquire about the cost to spay my daughter's cat. By the time they got finished we were at 3 visits and about $1300 before the $600 surgery. I don't recommend them unless you're made of money.

Absolutely amazing I'm so grateful to Dr Sandeep Grewal and the wonderful team at ridgemont animal hospital. My dog became very Ill i called around several clinics nobody took this issue seriously and said I wouldnt be able to get in anywhere for at least 2-3 weeks, they were also booked but found an emergency spot for us and turns out she had to have major surgery unexpectedly...I was devastated. They were all so kind compassionate and understanding. They are dedicated to their job and you can tell they genuinely care about your pets. Dr Grewal came in round the clock during his time off to make sure she was well cared for and called me every step of the way post surgery. My pug is still in recovery but I'm so thankful she has her spunk back and I really can't thank them enough ???? if you are looking for a new vet I highly recommend giving them a try !

Caring vets and staff.During this time of covid there is different protocol.They come to yr vehicle and get yr pet.My dog gets anxious but it went well.I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

Good availability, always able to do last,minute appointments. The vets are VERY caring about the animals and seek to give top quality care....even if its a bit overboard for the situation. Still strongly recommend though.

Dr. G has always been very professional and caring when it comes to rescue animals. Would highly recommend him!

My beloved pets have been coming to this vet's office and been seeing Dr. Grewal for 13 years now. My fur babies absolutely love the staff here. I would, and have, recommended this vet office fully.

Staff is kind to your animal and doesn't sneak charges on you with out talking to you about them first Also the vets like their job, which is awesome.
