Jordan (tech) and Charlotte (sales rep) were fantastic to work with in getting our hidden pet fence set up. Our yard is quirky, and the team at HPF of NY were really great to work with to make sure our puppy stays safe. The training program that Jordan walked us through is already taking effect, and we are so glad we made the choice we did.

My experience was awesome! Rosie arrived, so we needed a collar for her. Or second dog had an operational collar (well sort of, more below) from an un-named system. The installer for the previous fence was out of business. We asked our dog trainer for a recommendation, enter Dog-Yard. We hoped to add collar to the existing base unit. The tech arrived ON TIME! Wow. He was knowledgeable, friendly and DID NOT try to hard sell me on a new base unit. NICE. He spent time, a lot of time, attempting to adapt a Dog-Yard collar to the existing system. He really worked at it, including 2 or 3 lengthy calls to the office in hopes of other ideas. Right up front he explained any time more than a 1-hour service call was N/C. He was unsuccessful adapting the old collar. As it turned out, this was a very good thing. The Dog-Yard unit and collars are far superior to prior system. For example • Dog-Yard collar prongs are short, spring loaded. o Prior system - prongs long, fixed and irritated the dog’s throat. • Dog-Yard collar makes an audible beep. Had both dog’s attention and respect from 1st day. FYI – I wear hearing aids and discovered the fence causes them to buzz just before the beep. o Prior system - In theory, made a sound, only dog heard, prior to shock. They had no respect for the system. Many escapes. Other dogs, cats, squirrels, people, deer outside the fence often led to high-speed escapes, followed by capturing the escapee. They respected the fence after escape. Sometimes sat just outside range waiting to avoid a return shock. • Dog-Yard – Live / Dead battery easily and painless test. Listen for beep. o Prior system – hold prongs in your palm and feel a shock, or not. Ouch. I spoke to the office staff several times. All were patient and friendly. New base unit and new collars installed 9.15.2021 Rating 6 – a scale of 1 to 5 (6 is not a typo, the people and equipment are that good.

After doing a ton of research, I called Hidden Pet Fence to come out and take a look at my property. I scheduled Rob to come out within three weeks to tackle the job. He was prompt, informative, and finished the entire job in just a few hours. He took additional time to work with each of my dogs (and me), separately, to acclimate them to the new “fence.” Within days, both my dogs picked it up and have been having a blast, expending a ton of energy in their newly found “freedom.” I can’t thank Rob and Hidden Pet Fence enough for giving us peace of mind with this pet fence solution!! They have earned us as life-long customers.

We needed a fence for our new home, and physical fences were astronomically priced. Hidden Fence's quote, with all the upgrades and options, was less than a third of a wood fence that covered less area. The rechargeable collar is awesome and worth the money. Rob was on time, professional, answered all our questions and the dogs loved him. They've been great after the sale, too, coming back for scheduled trainings and adjustments. We also had them install an indoor fence to keep the dogs out of the bedrooms and Rob was great then, too. Highly recommended!

I got a few estimates. This company was the best price, and also offered unlimited training for my Dane and Husky. They have a rechargeable collar that works past the line. Our concern was that the dogs can run right past the invisible fence line and not return, however the endless boundary that is in the system continues to work past the line, and it forces them back into the yard. It has worked perfectly for several years. They are always friendly on the phone when calling in for questions.

Rebecca recently installed our hidden pet fence after going over our yard in detail with respect to our wishes and our active Pug puppy, Stan Lee. Rebecca was very professional and friendly. We were extremely happy with the installation and the time she spent with our dog. I feel comfortable knowing I can call Rebecca with questions and that she will return to continue monitoring Stan's training on the fence. The training is the most crucial part of these pet containment systems and this company, Hidden Pet Fence of NY, has an extremely effective method which really sold me over competitors. Also, the rechargeable collar was a strong selling point and the price beat out a competitor by hundreds of dollars.

Works sporadically which is an issue when this is meant to protect my puppy from running into the road. She got out 3 times due to the fence not working. The rechargeable collar is garbage you have to perfectly set it in the charging cradle or it won’t charge. If it gets bumped then it will stop charging. Where the line came into the house was not buried so my dog was able to very easy chew on the wire. Found out that isn’t covered under full warranty. I have upgraded to FI 2 collar which is wireless using GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi works flawlessly. My puppy has not gotten out since.

Jordan arrived as expected, was very professional. He was great with the dogs. Definitely would recommend them and ask for Jordan!

Our Invisible Fence unit in the garage was beeping. Turns out there was a break somewhere in the line. Hidden Pet Fence sent out Jordan, who was great with our dog, friendly, courteous, and efficient. He answered all our questions, never complained about the dreadful heat of the day, dug up the break in a very rooty section of our yard, and had the line fixed in less than 45 minutes. If I had tried to do this repair myself, I'd probably spend 4 hours trying to locate the break and repair it, if I found the break at all!

Hidden pet fence installed my invisible fence in 2004, and then moved it to my new home in Pittsford in 2010. Recently we got a new puppy and had Ralph out again to train her to the fence. I love the rechargeable collar and the dog training that he provided. Every time we use this company, we are very pleased.

Just had Hidden Pet Fence installed on July 5 2021 by Jordan and Tyson. They were efficient, knowledgeable and did a good job with the initial training with the puppy. I found this an affordable and aesthetic option to giving my puppy a place to play. Working on the training plan defined to get her leash free.

Can not say enough good things about this amazing group of people! I went and back and forth on trying to decide on regular fencing (what a nightmare with the town, all due to being a "Corner lot".) and electric fencing. I was so hesitant at first and worried my dogs would just run threw it. Ralph took so much to time carefully explaining EVERY detail of the electric fence and reassured me (over and over) my girls would not run threw it. And he was right! Hands down the best company to go thru!!

Excellent customer service. From the person whom answers the phone, Charlotte my representative, to my installers Jordan and Tyson. I have a very small dog and I needed a collar that wouldn’t overpower her size. They were able to provide. My installers took time to work with me and made sure I understood how I will work with my dog for the next 30 days and feel safe allowing my dog out without her leash. Highly recommend!
