PetSmart Port Jefferson Station, New York

Extremely disappointed. Our pet had an appointment booked at least a month in advance. I woke up to a voice mail from Amanda letting me know that the groomer we selected, Julia wasn’t coming in today. She didn’t offer to groom my dog today herself, as the manager, or suggest another groomer to take care of our dog. She pushed my appointment an entire week out to a time and date that doesn’t work well for us.if you’re going to do that, at least work with us on a time. You so easily cancelled our appointment, I guess no one else’s appointment can be moved around as well? I understand things happen but this isn’t right. We had to call back and only then did she offer a small discount. I don’t like the way Amanda treated us and acted like our time isn’t important. She needs further training if this is the so called manager you have on staff. I want a reply back from management.

We enjoyed the puppy training classes. The instructor was very helpful and knowledgeable. The staff are always on hand to help and answer questions for you, and they never try to upsell you, which, as first time dog owners, is much appreciated.

Great place for gourmet aka healthy pet foods!

Love this place. Clean and great place to bring your pet. Always fully stocked and very welcoming. Give it a try you won't be disappointed happy shopping

I wash my dog there dont let them cut there nails and anything else, they don't know what they are doing!

I have now changed my review of Petsmart. Until they’re practices and standards of customer service include HONESTY I highly recommend you no longer bring your fur babies there!

Smaller and more expensive than Petco. Did not have the cat food I needed, store did not have the same selection as other stores.

Staff in this store is great! Friendly to humans and pets alike!

My puppy had been to the grooming salon on Aug 13, where all the proper paperwork was shown… September 7 we bring him back for a full haircut and magically they lost all his paperwork. Service was refused because they lost his paperwork… If you can’t keep track of vaccine paperwork digitally I would not trust with my dog!

Friendly and pretty knowledgeable, if you are looking for the basics

They had a nice supply of food and treats for both cats and dogs

I’ve purchased 2 animals from this store. A leopard gecko and a hermit crab. Both dead within weeks. I don’t know what they’re doing to these poor creatures but they all seem to have some sort of illness. I do not recommend buying anything from this store

The prices and small pets are much cheaper than Petco, The staff is very helpful in answering questions and recommendations for different things you may need. The location in Lake Grove and Port Jeff Station are excellent.

1 star purely because I walked in to get my dog a “paw”-dicure. The woman at the desk claimed they are appointment only, meanwhile there was a sign outside saying WALK INS WELCOME for the service I was looking for! This wasn’t an outdated sign, as we have been getting his nails done at the West Bab and Nesconset location as a walk in. She was also passive aggressive, asking why we’ve gone to different Petsmarts for services. Not sure that’s any of her business? Convenience for us perhaps? We drove to Port Jeff from Patchogue. I do not recommend. Would rather take him elsewhere. Nail trim takes 10 min. GTFO.

Most knowledgeable staff of all the local pet stores. Prices are decent. And the place is definetly well organized.

They have budget friendly prices and always well stocked.I didn't bring my dog there for training, but I had a few questions on what would work best for my dog. The trainer Allie was AWESOME! She was genuinely plesant and took the time to explain why her recondition was more appropriate.

The groomer was very attentive to my senior dog’s needs and I very much appreciate that.

Thus is one of the smaller PetSmarts I've veen to but they still manage to have an adequate variety of stick for all of your pet needs.

They are close by for my cat's food

Incredible grooming staff! I've brought both of my dogs to get groomed here and the staff is so kind and caring! This is the first time I've ever felt confident about leaving my dogs somewhere, knowing that they will be in great hands. My girl came out smelling fresh and sporting the CUTEST little bandana! Highly recommend.
