Head to Tail Animal Hospital Port Jefferson Station, New York

Our senior kitty Scrapper was losing weight and we took her into see Dr. Cohen for a check up on a recommendation from our pet sitter. What we thought was going to just be a quick meet & greet appointment, some blood work and we'd be on our way home for treats turned into a trip to the Animal Hospital for a procedure to help my baby with some fluid in her chest. We don't know what the future holds for our sweet kitty but thank Dr. Cohen for her instinct to take that X-ray which may have helped us extend our time with her. We can't thank you enough and can't wait to see Dr. Cohen again to show how good Scrapper is doing! UPDATE: Unfortunately my precious Scrapper lost her battle with Cancer on July 11, 2021. Although it's been difficult the knowledge and care that Head to Tail Animal Hospital gave us during her sickness was invaluable and helped us to get through one of the most difficult times of my life. Even after we received a wonderful letter from the team expressing their condolences and appreciated the care and tenderness they gave us during this difficult time.

I LOVE Head to Tail Animal Hospital. Dr Felicia Cohen is very caring yet professional and knows her work. I trust them with my sweet Paz. He’s always happy when he goes there. That’s a very good sign.

Absolutely incredible! Only thing I would critique is that I wish they were open on weekends but I understand they have families and lives as well. This place blew me out of the water. Prices were extremely reasonable, Dr.Cohen was amazing with my dog and very personable and explained every thing to me. Staff was delightful. Would 100 percent recommend you take your beloved pets here!

I felt like I was very informed and noone rushed like usual doc appointments. Staff was so friendly and vet was so knowledgeable and helped me with her recommendations to ensure I am doing what I need to do for my new pup Bella! I was really impressed with the service and will be returning!

We just recently took our 5 mo Bernedoodle puppy here after having bad experiences with our previous vet. Despite only having 1 visit, I already feel so much more comfortable and entrusting with this vet!! They always answer their phones, have appts readily available, and the staff is extremely friendly. Dr. Cohen was thorough in her examination and I appreciated that they are allowing 1 person in the exam room. I 100% regret not coming to Dr. Cohens office from the very beginning.

So glad we found an incredible vet so close to home. Entire staff is so kind and informative, extremely organized even in these crazy times. Total confidence in Dr. Cohen and grateful our Pup is in good hands!

These guys are AMAZING. Diagnosed my cat within 10 minutes. Unfortunately i had to put the cat to sleep but they were extremely helpful and made it easy. Greatest vet you'll ever find!

Dr. Cohen is amazing! She is thorough, responsive, and cares deeply about my Ruth, as I’m sure she does every client. Dr. Cohen gets on the phone and explains everything, in detail, before and after the visit. They have safe practices during these crazy times and are amendable to all of our needs. The office is friendly, clean, and helpful. I trust them completely and feel more than comfortable with them treating my dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet!

Dr. Cohen at Head to Tail is very good and very thorough. She really listens and answers all my questions. She always gets back to me when I leave a message and her staff is great. I definitely recommend.

We have 3 dogs. A 3 yr old, 4 yr old and a 12 yr old. We have been taking them here for over a year now. We relocated and we were so worried we would not find a Vet who could even compare to our old Vet. Dr Cohen is amazing. She really cares for our dogs and explains everything. Very professional and we have confidence in her and her staff. Staff is amazing as well.

I started taking my furbabes here during the pandemic, so I have never been inside. I have really put trust in Dr Cohen & her staff and they haven’t steered me wrong. She truly runs a tight and efficient ship. I worked for a large veterinary corporation for a while and the difference between them and Head to Tails is the so astounding. They get back to you so quickly it will surprise you, you won’t feel rushed, and will never feel over charged. Some might dislike that they won’t give you an appointment until a few days out, but they aren’t an emergency hospital! This is a mistake a lot of vets make causing back ups, long waits, clients and clients feeling rushed... all things that do NOT happen here!! :)

Making appointments is quick and easy. My dog is a bit anxious around strangers. They are very patient with her, and make us both feel comfortable.

So nice, pleasant, and caring. Professional and helpful. Knowledgeable. We have been seeing Dr Cohen for three years now and I trust Her implicitly with my fur baby. She takes the time to listen to what’s going on and explain everything and she has the best staff! The nicest office and people and the very best care hands down.
