Vet spent time explaining what he saw after assessing our dog

I just had my rescue 6month old cat spayed by Dr Jeff Rose. I am so very pleased with how they took such great care of her ( and me)and their price was more than fair. I will continue to use Jefferson Animal Hospital for all of my pets.

I just moved here from Georgia and was looking for a vet for my pup to go and came upon this one. This morning I called to try and set up an appointment. Two people answered the phone at once, a man and a woman. The man went to put me on hold, but the woman said that she was still on the line and asked how she can help me. I go on to ask her to make an appointment, and I’m interrupted by yelling in the background. It sounded like the same man that answered phone. He was screaming something at his employees about answering phones. His tone was demeaning, rude, and downright inappropriate. I asked the lady on the phone if that was the doctor yelling at the staff, she stuttered and stayed quiet. I am utterly disgusted by whomever yelled like that. That man should be ashamed of himself. Needless to say, after hearing as what I suspect to be the doctor, screaming at his employees like that, I found a different vet to go, who wasn’t screaming at their staff when I called, and is giving me a discount for my puppy’s first visit! My first dog ever, Brady, is a client of Jefferson Animal Hospital and I couldn’t be happier. They take such great care of both of us. Love the doctors and the staff and feel like we are in great hands.

I made an appointment and called to change it to the following day. When I called to confirm, the office did not have my appointment in their book so I was out of luck and had to reschedule. I am very disappointed.

We just had a terrible scare yesterday with our 13 year old Shih-Poo and thanks to Jefferson Animal Hospital, Spanky is now on the mend. I can't say enough wonderful things about Jefferson Animal Hospital, their staff and both Dr. Jeffrey Rose and Dr. Brian Rose. Their professionalism, genuine love and concern for their patients, and emotional support for the owners, is both appreciated and valued. Thank you again for taking such good care of our Spanky since he was a puppy. I wouldn't trust Spanky in anyone else's care.

It’s completely true that the receptionist Kim does drink on the job after I found out I stopped going here especially when they won’t let you go in with your pet do not trust them.

Our family has been going to Jefferson Animal Hospital for several years. They are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Their reception staff has always been courteous, responsive and professional. The techs are loving and warm. The Doctors are patient and provide the best care for our pets. I recommend them with 100% confidence.

Dr. Jeff Rose and Dr. Brian Rose are exceptionally smart , insightful and compassionate and have been caring for my pets for over 20 years. Last week they saved my 14 year old dog Lucky when I thought we would have to put him down. They discovered a rare tooth infection that required a surgery involving his.eye , removal of several teeth and tons of antibiotics. He is back in action! REALLY THANKFUL for them taking the time to diagnose this and get it right! Love to the compassionate staff that sat with Lucky on their lap while he was coming out of anasthesia ❤️❤️‍????

I would not go anywhere else with our fur baby! The love and compassion that Dr. Rose has given our Willow is like she is one of his family. His kindness to animals and people is truly rare. I personally know he goes out of his way to take care of all kinds of pets in so many ways. The staff is also always welcoming and accommodating. You can trust they will always treat you and your pet well. Thank you so much!

I have had the good fortune of having both Dr. Roses take care of our dogs over the years. Our male suffered a low platelet count as a puppy and another vet told us surgery would be dangerous. While our guy was not aggressive, Dr. Rose explained why neutering is so important to prevent testicular cancer. Both Veterinarian's took such great care of Kipper. He had his surgery last month and he is his happy, playful self. I was very impressed with the care, concern and professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend this office without reservation.

Dr. Rose is a real pleasure. First time having to bring one of my chickens to the vet and with covid restrictions not being able to enter the building it was nice to know that someone was taking great care of her. He called and talked to me for about 20min about her treatment plan. Office negative is that it took me 2 days to get a hold of the office and even when get there you're suppose to call for them to come out and get your pet but can barely get a hold of them on phone. They need hire more staff for that.

BOTH DR.ROSE BROTHERS ARE SO CARING ABOUT ALL MY DOGS NEEDS. BEEN COMING FOR OVER 15 YEARS. STAFF IS PROFESSIONAL. A+++ CON: UNDERSTANDING EMERGENCIES CAN HAPPEN, BUT OVER BOOKING HAS BEEN HAPPENING. I DON'T BELIEVE IN DROPPING OFF MY DOG AND (OPTION) LEAVING MY PUP TO PICK UP ON A LATER HR. I LIKED THE GOOD OLD DAYS WARE I BRING MY DOG ON TIME AND SPEND TIME WITH DR. ROSE IN A TIMELY MANNER. SO FAR ITS BEEN ABOUT 2 HR WAIT FOR EACH VIST. THE TRUST IN MY DR. ROSE AND STAFF IS WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK. BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. I STILL LOVE THIS STAFF. HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY 2021

It is the best place to go to for any emergency that your baby may have. I have a guinea pig and I’ve been through a lot with my baby and thanks to the doctor and staff my baby has got the help that he needed. I’m so very happy with this place I don’t trust no other place. This is the best animal hospital ❤️

Dr. Rose and his staff are wonderful, kind people who really care about my dog. Since Harley has been with me I've never let anyone near him. My dog means everything to me and I'm overprotective in the extreme. I was nervous bringing him to the vet, but the people who work at Jefferson Animal Hospital put me at ease right from the first phone call. I'm really happy that my dog and I have a vet I know I can truly trust. I highly recommend this animal hospital for anyone who is looking for safe, professional veterinary care for their pets.

Not just a Dog or Cat Vet ..... Treated a pet Chicken that was injured. Friendly staff and they follow up to make sure everyone is comfortable and doing well.

Dr. Rose has been excellent with our Syrian hamsters, demonstrating a clear understanding of their health and particular biology. He helped us nurse our first hamster through a broken leg and back to health. When the little guy later developed a tumor we were given a very clear explanation, and several options. When he died the staff was very caring and considerate of my kids' first pet, taking the time to explain exactly what was going on.

Excellent experience with the care of my 17 yr old cat, Biggles....I have had him longer than any animal, they UNDERSTAND what your animals mean to you....which, if you're like me, is EVERYTHING

Very friendly, knowledgable, my dachshund’s vet Brian is very informative and professional. Doing teeth and spay here and feel very confident going into both procedures as brian laid out exactly what to expect and how to prepare my dog for surgery. They are also very affordable here compared to most north shore vets.

I just want to take the time to write a thank you to this facility and DR KEARNS. We had the pleasure of having our pets treated here for many years and continue to do so. They treat our dogs, and also my pet rat. We just lost our dog diesel to old age at the age of 13 Friday. Up until now the care and love he received from this animal hospital and staff and ESPECIALLY HIS DOCTOR can never be matched. I am a true animal lover and would cry just knowing my animals were scared at the doctors, but since being here i leave knowing he is getting love kisses belly rubs and being taken care of so well that i can leave them there in peace. The doctor calls with updates and just to check in, but explains everything to an extent that there is no questions, you feel at peace with every decision made. They love our pets as if they were their own and it is truly heart warming. When the doctor found out our dog passed from old age at home he called us right and i can tell he will truly miss our boy i can tell the love he has for him always but especially at this last conversation about the end of diesels life. This doctor is a true angel and our pets are lucky to have him and his team to keep them healthy. Thank you guys for loving our babies

Doctor rose was so kind. I had a bad experience at the centereach animal hospital. The doctor was gone and they didn’t know when he’d be back...well let me tell you that it was a blessing. That other place barely spoke to us, all over the place. Revolving door type place and the doctor didn’t instruct us properly, very cold. Now when we went to this place was a HUGE CHANGE, the staff was organized despite being busy vs the centereach animal hospital on middle country who being busy was the excuse for not being attentive. They truly cared for our guinea pig, gave medication with instructions instead of saying “HERE FIGURE IT OUT OR WERE TOO BUSY” ...they took the time DESPITE being busy to call us and check on our pet. They TRULY cared for our pet as much as we did. Wish I went to him first for our guinea pigs surgery. He is now I heaven but dr rose allowed us to go in and lay him to rest and was so kind and understanding. Wish I could give ten stars. Price was right too and he was very generous. Will take all my future pets here.

Dr. Jeff was amazing. He was so kind and patient. I brought my older ferret in for a checkup due to a distended belly and I was an absolute mess. He was nice and explained everything to me thoroughly and I left the appointment feeling so much better.

Took my leopard gecko here for an exam and the vet was very well informed and did everything he could to help me. The wait is a little long, not sure if that's because of covid. Other than that, I really like this place and would use again. They're very well priced and everyone is nice and professional.
