Even though their services lists “Animal Emergency Care”, don’t bother with them, I called recently and was told they were not accepting new patients and ended up having to travel out to Brewster. So much for emergency care.

By far the most caring doctor and staff in the Hudson Valley in my experience. They continuously work to make sure my pets are fully healthy and happy and don’t give up like other places have.

Our dog is what most vets would consider "difficult". Dr. Motler has always taken plenty of time with him to get him settled and ready to be seen rather than rushing us through the visit. She remembers the animals and their medical history which is impressive this day and age. Highly recommend.

We have been with this animal hospital for 10 years now. The staff is always courteous and really friendly to our dog. We feel like they are family to us and our dog. When our dog had a muscle sprain, Dr. Motler worked with him for two months with laser therapy and physical therapy to heal his sprain without the necessity of surgery. We regularly board our dog at the hospital as well without any worry when we are gone. I highly recommend this animal hospital and Dr. Motler - she is always on top of the latest treatments for your animals.

My cat had several extractions here recently. The staff was kind and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The operation did not go over the estimated charge so that is a big plus too. Very happy with results, so is my cat! He is a much healthier and happier companion.

I was charged $3,300 for dentistry on my two cats. One cat just had his teeth cleaned, the other had 4 teeth with cavities removed. Never ever have I been charged this much for dentistry especially as one was a simple cleaning. I was a client of this practice for 15 years, I guess they don't value old clients much. These people are the master of adds, get a written, signed quote for even the smallest of procedure and make sure they don’t add on charges over the top.

Zero compassion and professionalism. A 30 second phone call was all it took to know I would rather my pet die in my arms than to take them to this vet. Dont waste your time energy or money even thinking about bringing your beloved pet(s) here.

Dr. Motler is truly the most knowledgeable, caring vet I have ever found in all the cities we have lived in. Her prices are fair and her heart is pure gold! She is honest & trustworthy which is a HUGE positive nowadays! She truly cares for her patients and wants what’s best for them first and foremost. She’s almost always available to her patients and frequently sees patients after hours to accommodate parents. I wouldn’t use another veterinarian because when we see her, we KNOW we are getting the honest bottom line. With as many animals as we have, we must have her forthright advice to make sure we are getting the care we need for our fur children. Thank you Dr. Motler for being such an honest caring member of our community. It is greatly appreciated!

I am thrilled with the knowledge and professionalism of Dr. Motler! She takes her time to make sure each pet is treated properly and always helps me understand what is needed to ensure a happy, healthy life for my animals. I never feel rushed and always leave knowing my pet has received the best care possible. Each one of my animals is treated as an individual and is given the proper care based on full assessment using Dr. Motler’s expertise and experience in veterinary medicine, behavior issues, diet, pain management, etc. I wholeheartedly trust this practice with my fur babies!

Dr. Motler is amazing with all of my animals. She takes the time she needs with each one, gets to know them and remembers them. If I am in with another pet, she always asks about the rest of the family. After our dog was attacked, he was terrified of going to the vet. Dr. Motler worked with him, got down on the floor with him, let him come by for fun visits so he would not be so traumatized at his visits. Her compassion when having to put a pet down is enormous. She is as supportive of the pet owners as she is of her patients. She always tries to be accommodating and has gone out of her way to help. Yes, it's expensive to care for your pets. But if you analyze all the hours she is open, the after hours accommodations, the extra care she provides you will find that she is working for much less than you would think a doctor should earn per hour. It's a hard lifestyle that she has dedicated her life to. I am thankful for her and her skills. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My 13 year old dog had a mast cell tumor removed recently. Dr. Motler and Cindy were very professional and helpful to give us the best care and a good outcome. I cannot say enough about Dr. Motler's expertise and knowledge as well as the empathy of her and her staff. She is rightly concerned about the impact of the covid-19 virus on her staff and her patients' owners and as a physician I applaud her efforts to keep everyone safe. Her fees are very reasonable in my experience. She fully discusses each problem with the pet parents in a clear explanation for all to understand.

I took my dog here today for his vaccinations. Since the corona we went to the tent outside to do the shots. ( it was an open text) After he was done I had him back on the grass inside the tent as the lady vet was talking to me. I had my dog on the leash but he was sniffing around. I was paying attention to what she was saying to me, looking at her. My dog peed on the side of the bench... the lady vet got very rude. “No that was bad!” Me: “I’m sorry he likes to mark his territory.” Vet: “now I have to disinfect that. Maybe you can pay attention more and teach him what’s wrong and right” I said nothing. Rude and unprofessional. You work with animals.. and he’s outside. He didn’t know any better.

I called to ask about getting my cat seen. When I asked about price the lady I spoke to got angry and said she doesn't price shop and became rude. Not everyone can afford 1,000 dollars in very bills. Some people would like to see what type of bill they are dealing with.Very unprofessional. Would not recommend if I could I give a negative rating I would.

Dr. Motler is not just any veterinarian she is our miracle worker. She truly cares not only about my animals she cares about the people taking care of them. My babies are now 12-1/2, brother and sister pure breed mini daschunds. Dr. Motler has been their vet for over half of their lives. She took over the practice of their previous vet and we are so very thankful and blessed to have such a gifted amazing person providing them care. Dr. Motler has done not only your basic physicals and shots. She has diagnosed chronic pancreatitis early stages so a special diet was prescribed. She has diagnosed food allergies and got my girl on a diet she could eat safely. Everything from bee sting and spider bite reactions. Muscle spasms where they can’t walk and she provided electro acupuncture. Spinal injury she provided laser treatment. As you have read My kids have come with their challenges, asthma, allergies, muscle spasms, herniated discs, and high anxiety around other animals. She has helped my kids (and me) day and night. If they didn’t have an appointment her staff would do their absolute best to help me get them in to her. She provides them with the best care, and helps a scared parent feel like they are doing all they can. A year ago my boy needed surgery and time was of the essence. Her knowledge led to the quick diagnosis and her continued education and networking with other specialists got us to where we needed to be to treat him. Just a month ago my boy was diagnosed with herniated discs in his neck. She got us in with the same specialist immediately. They are over an hour away but she stayed in touch with them and us the entire time to be sure we all knew what was being done and we all agreed it was his best treatment. Thank you Dr. Motler and the team at PVAH. You are all truly the most amazing care givers !!

Dr. Motler is a kind, passionate and hard working woman, and her and her staff had given us nothing but the best care possible. I took my puppy and cats relatively regularly for puppy check ups and check ups for my 17 year old cat who has cancer. It is an unfortunate reality that we had to move and find a new vet, but for the time we were in New York, Dr. Motler was the best in the Hudson Valley.

Clean, well designed environment. Separate entrances between cats and dogs. Smart vet. She's familiar with relationships between pharmaceutical companies and veterinarians. Does appropriate testing methods for diagnosis. Go there.

Dr Motler is a wonderful veterinarian, she is genuinely caring and compassionate. The office is clean and comfortable and staff is friendly, helpful and very welcoming. I feel at ease when I bring our pets to PVAH not only because my animals recieve the best of care but the staff works super hard to ensure they feel safe. Dr. Motler is thorough during her examinations and always explains her findings. She clearly answers any questions you may have and supplies great suggestions for your pets physical and emotional wellbeing. She honestly wants the very best for her patients and her bedside manner proves just that. PVAH is a perfect combination of up to date medical treatment and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
