I wish there are 10 stars available for rating because this place deserves it. When my dog Simon got sick this place was the only one who saw him right away early morning despite of how busy they were. Everywhere else told me that I can bring him to NY. They were so empathetic. Especially big thanks to Doctor Reynolds who even called me to follow up the next few days. My dog is completely recovered. I know how busy they are but they make time for every pet. Totally recommended !

I have an incredibly old cat (19) and she recently went on medication and needed to be boarded for my vacation. The shaker hill pet resort staff and Pittsfield vet staff were amazing. Firstly, they were very responsive when I called to check in and were happy to update me. Secondly their facilities are very clean and comfortable looking. Thirdly, my cat seems incredibly relaxed after her stay (which was a big concern of mine as she has never been away from her space for that long) she even watched as the staffer went back in at pickup. It’s clear they forged a nice bond. I can’t confirm that it is standard, but they definitely groomed her before she came home. She smells amazing and her fur is looking fantastic. Her nails are trimmed and her paws are clean. The price for the stay was very reasonable, I’d be willing to pay more for the amazing care they gave her. Whatever your financial situation, the peace of mind from having these amazing staffers take great care of your pet is priceless. She wasn’t even that excited to see us, which is a fantastic sign! It’s so nice that my kitty got to have a vacation while we did. If you’re hesitant to board because you have a weird or old animal, you can be confident in the quality of shaker hill pet resort.

Since moving to Pittsfield this has been our go to spot for all our animal care and boarding needs. The Vets are all excellent and everyone always comes home from boarding happy and healthy.

Friendly, and holistic for animals

Staff here care so much for the animals, boarding rates are great and my animals enjoyed their stay. Vets here take time to explain anything you're worried about, they do so well with even nervous animals. Love this place!

The staff at Shaker Hill Pet Resort always takes excellent care of our dog when we go away. They are amazing!

A beautiful modern facility, my dogs both smelled of urine so strong that I did not want to put in car, (I absolutely love my dogs, they are the highlight of my life. for $409 for 5 1/2 days, do you think that they could have washed them up?, not fancy, just clean?), they put the harness on one wrong who then got loose in the parking lot, (causing me to fear tragedy), upon getting home one had kennel cough. Dogs are my life, my Sister has been volunteering at Orphan Pet Oasis in Palm Desert for 15 years, (even now as she is 100 miles away at 70!) she has helped rescue more than 10 dogs as a Real Estate agent for people going into assisted living or downsizing. That is part of my DNA. My wife had to visit her Father before he passed away, this was the only option. That was my experience.

My two labs LOVE coming here. Yes, they are happy to come home and see us but they do not balk when I bring them there for a stay. That's a good sign. Staff is very kind and courteous.

Called to make an emergency visit at 8pm, receptionist Lori was extremely rude when asked if my dog could be seen after being sliced open by barbwire. And was told that they do not see non-patient animals.
