We send our 3 doods and they love it!!

This was the only animal hospital that could take us over Christmas. We called multiple vets in our area and they all said no. Our dog had an issue with his eyes but the vet also noticed an issue with his ears that our previous vet told us was normal. After giving him the medicine for his ears and eyes, he was back to normal. Super thankful to the staff here.

Our dog has been a patient of Dr. Slater for many years and more recently we have also worked with Dr. Laidlaw during an emergency. Both vets are very knowledgable and excellent at communicating all of your options. They never rush and they take the time to follow up with you. The technicians and assistants are also wonderful and provide lots of support by answering questions, quickly relaying messages, sending test results and even guiding us through how to force our dog take her medications. This is a staff of people who care about animals and their families.

Dr. Slater is amazing. All of the staff at RRAH are amazing and so caring.

Grateful to have found this team! I was very anxious about our visit because we haven't had the best experience with our dog at the vet, and we were really unsure how she would do alone. She is normally scared, and nippy with the vet, but came out SO HAPPY and tail wagging. They even called her cuddly! Our dog has been battling some allergies for about 2-3 years, and this is the first time we left the vet with a plan of action. The entire team was compassionate, thorough and pleasant! Nothing but good things to say, and highly recommend their services.

Great service. Dr Slater is an amazing vet. she doesnt best around the Bush she tells you everything straight up as it is. all the other staff there are kind and caring. there is no one else I'd trust ruth my fur babies

This review should be very long because of the service that Doctor Sarah Slater gives but I will try and keep it short. Dr Slater has been giving us excellent service for our two dogs for over 3 years now. Her level of service should be the standard for all vets. When a pet is ill you will do anything to make them better. Some vets take advantage of this with unnecessary tests and high charges. Dr Slaters prices are reasonable and she has never done any work that doesn't need to be done. Our dogs will be going to Rideau River Animal Hospital for years to come.

Dr. Slater and her team are probably the best in Ottawa! I've had many experiences in the past with vets who seem like they try to play on your emotions and suggest products or treatments that aren't necessarily required. Not only does this make you feel like a bad pet parent, but it can get very expensive as well. Dr. Slater is the opposite of that. Her team is helpful and kind, and they always give you options as well as genuine, honest advice. I appreciate their honesty and care for my two cats. They are always able to see us promptly in emergencies (UTI's and crystals) and have been extremely helpful for the less pressing diagnoses (cat acne LOL!) I've recommended Rideau River Animal Hospital in the past to several of my friends and I would continue to recommend them in the future.

Very friendly staff, Dr. Slater helped me cope with a difficult decision to make about my cat and made me feel comfortable and at ease with my decision. I would 100% recommend!
