I have been going here for over 15 years, compassionate staff and I like their new location. Dr Cady is super friendly and has been great with my sick feline. She has recently moved on and hopefully the Vet that takes over his cases will be just as great

They care about your animal and are so compassionate. I love Dr. Iraei. He is very honest and thorough. When our dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma, he gave us his most honest opinion and suggestions. We have said goodbye to our sweet dog, but will always be grateful to our veterinary care at Lansdowne Animal Hospital.

I love this place. Dr. Iaeri seems to me to be a kind, patient, thoughtful, thorough and skilled veterinarian.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I left my puppy at 11 am for his neutering surgery. I waited all day long and did not receive any calls. I decided to call them at 4:30 pm. After being put on hold, the receptionist told me he still hadn't had surgery. They left the poor puppy waiting all day long with no food and didn't even bother giving me a call. Do not go there.

My partner, dog, and I all highly recommend Lansdowne! At each visit, everyone (vets, vet techs, specialized surgeon, front desk staff) has been very professional and kind. Our dog is very small, and they put our nervousness at ease before her spaying surgery, which went smoothly. All her vaccines and flea/tick prevention medication have been administered with no issues. They show how much they care about our dog when interacting with her. Thanks very much to everyone for the work you do!

All staff is super nice. They're always willing to try to find answers immediately which is important to me. Dr."I" is absolutely knowledgeable in many aspects that pertain to my pregnant queens needs before during and after delivery. He has spayed and neutered my kittens and there has never been an issue. I especially love that he contacts me personally and he gets other opinions before giving me his thoughts in regards to rare issues. My cats are seen quite quickly. Never much of a wait. The only thing I wish would change is the parking. It's pretty tight back there but I'm certainly not going to give up the best veterinarian in Ottawa because I don't love the parking situation!!

Awful, terrible service from the reception staff. If there was a one star, this would be it.

Excellent care for your pets

The new location is fabulous, very modern and sanitary. The staff and veterinarians are amazing, loving and kind.

Great, professional staff; always feel like my dog is in excellent hands there. Will be glad when they relax with all the fussing over COVID protocols; but at least this time I was able to be with my pet during his session with the vet, which was much less stressful for both of us.

Has become my preferred choice for dog care. Also of note, tech staff are especially excellent with the animals and owners alike.

I have had to put my almost 15 year old cat to sleep last Thursday and it was important for me to take the time to write a review of the outstanding support I received all week from Dr. MacDonald. As my cat's health declined rapidly during the week, Dr. MacDonald took great care of him and he methodically and logically walked me through the various possible steps that could be attempted to make my cat feel better. He was considerate and thorough which enabled me to make informed decisions. He remained cost conscious during this process advising me of all that could be done and guiding me through finding the best path forward in my circumstances. This brought me a place where by Thursday, after the few things we tried did not provide the hoped for improvement, it became obvious that the only considerate thing that could be done at this point was to put my cat to sleep. Dr. MacDonald found the time to squeeze us in at the end of his day, walked me and my kids through the procedure, answered the very many questions from my son and was a constant presence for us all during this very difficult time. His support and dedication clearly went above and beyond and his true love of animals transpired at every step. While this was incredibly difficult, I am so glad we had Dr. MacDonald to help us. The way in which this was handled is what enabled my kids and I to have closure.

Knowledgeable and professional staff, kindness and compassion for their animal patients is evident. New offices with accessible entrance in the back is a bonus for mobility challenged clients.

Super happy client of Lansdowne Animal Hospital. Most recently brought in my eight year old schnauzer for a teeth cleaning / extraction. The entire experience, from the initial assessment weeks prior, to getting moved up to an earlier slot when they had a cancellation, to the work itself, to communication during the procedure, to the discharge/instructions, was flawless and extremely professional, and a great value as well. I couldn't imagine any way that the experience could have been better. Many thanks to the entire team for taking such good care of my boy, and me!

I have taken my pets here for years and the experience has been incredible. All staff are so compassionate, empathetic, accommodating and kind. Not only is the customer service (for my and my pets) great, but the price is reasonable and I never feel ripped off. I will be taking my pets here for many more years! Highly recommend.

My dog recently had knee surgery at Lansdowne Animal hospital, and I cannot say enough about the excellent care she received. They treat your pet as if they were their own. This is obviously a very stressful time for both pet and human, and the level of care they took with both of us, providing me with updates, and sharing with me how she was doing throughout the procedure was above and beyond. My dogs vet tech Katie was absolutely wonderful, and I felt as though she were being treated the way she would have been if I were with her.. with lots of love and attention. The post care instructions were explained clearly and simply, and everything was easily documented for me to follow at home. I also know if I need anything while she is recouperating I can call and they will be there for me. I am so grateful for everyone at Lansdowne Hospital, and highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall: If you're there for simple things then fine, but if you have a pet with real health problems, go somewhere else. Having to put down a pet is the hardest thing a pet owner has to do. This experience was made all the worse by this hospital. I will highlight the main points as follows. The Room: The room for the event was the large windowed room that faces Bank Street, I believe this room has a one way window but having to watch people walk up and down Bank during, removes any sense of privacy you'd wish you had. In addition no one clearly had the foresight to put a "Do not Disturb" sign on the door so after, in what was supposed to be our private moments we were interrupted by random staff bursting in then apologizing, twice. The Vet Techs: We were attended by two vet techs during the event. The one who seemed to be in training was great, she was quiet and you could tell she felt our pain (I believe her name was Rachelle). The main vet tech however had a bubbly tone and spring in her step you would find when a puppy is coming for his first checkup. Not the type of tone you want when you are saying goodbye to your friend. The complete lack of any empathy, even fake empathy showed that the bedside manner is extremely lacking. The Vet: If you could think of a list of things you do not want to hear out of someone's mouth moments after your cat has passed, "Yeah he was just very unlucky with all his health problems" might be near the top (My cat lived to the age of 20 and he spent his days in absolute bliss). When my cat began to convulse after his passing I had asked the vet if that was normal. There was a sense of panic in him as he checked his heart again and responded "No he's dead!". I would expect this type of bedside manner from someone who is new to the profession and not someone with this level of experience. There are positives to this clinic, the front door staff and the staff who handle the phones are great. There was one staff member (I believe her name was Madison) who bonded with my cat and cried with me when I got the news that he would have to be put down. I will carry that moment of humanity with me forever. Unfortunately none of this makes up for how awful this event was for me and my partner. In general it's very disorganized and they appear understaffed for the amount of patients they take on (this is coming from someone who has been there a lot this past year). They just are not on the ball, things that can be fixed by simply reading your pet's history.

I love this vet clinic and they love my finnick they always go over and above for me and if it wasn't for their loving team I would of had to surrender my baby. Thank you doctor Kate and the rest of the team for everything you have done for my little finnick and treating me like a human being and not judging me for having pets on a fixed income like other vets have in the past.
