Very satisfied with the care for my cat ????

Literally the best vet in town!

We've been bouncing around vets in Ottawa trying to find the right one for us and we've finally found it here. They don't use fear tactics to up-sell procedures. It seems like at every opportunity they're trying to save us money. They're so great with our dog, the vet is very down to earth and spends lots of time explaining everything to us and laying out all the options available to us.

Highly recommended. Quality care and friendly staff who treat our pets like family.

I have had only excellent experiences! Despite changes in process and not being able to be with my pup during appointments because of COVID-19 restrictions, I have received excellent communication and support for my pups very needs at each visit and subsequently. My pup was recently neutered and all the nurses and vet who were a part of his surgery experience and follow-up check-ins were very kind and informative. My pup was back to normal within a day of surgery and his stitches almost entirely healed (with no issue) within a week or so. They provided option of laser or scalpel for surgery, and post surgery to prevent licking, cone OR an adorable onesie (pictured on my pup). I am super happy I went with this veterinary hospital :)

There doing an awesome job with my sister dogs

We've been fostering a rescued golden retriever with a largley unknown history. As part of the forster process, the dogs need to be checked out by a vet and get microchipped. Since Cumberland vet supports the charity, we brought her here. The office is lovely and the staff is friendly, but the dog seems to have a bad history with vets. Despite their best efforts, they couldn't get the dog to settle down enough to even touch her leg with a cotton swab. Not wanting to "ruin her" for future vet visits, they sent us home with some sedatives and booked us an appointment for a few days later. With sedatives on board, we went back to the vet. The sedatives didn't seem to have much of an effect, and the dog freaked out as soon as the doctor touched her with the stethoscope. She's an 11 year old golden retriever, but she snapped and snarled like an angry Doberman. After we put her in a soft muzzle and held her still, the vet tech held her down with a towel over her head while the doctor waited outside the room so she wouldn't see him. After a bit of struggle, they injected her with a different sedative and left us with her to wait for it to kick in. They checked in regularly to see how she was doing. After about 40 minutes it was clear she was still pretty anxious, so another dose had to be administered. Once that kicked in, they were able to do the microchipping and check for what they thought was a heart murmur. To be honest, I never thought they'd be able to get her chipped. They clearly knew what they were doing and kept the dog's needs in mind at every step. I could not be more impressed. Since the rescue organization pays the bills, I don't know if this 2.5 hour ordeal cost more than a typical visit, but I'd happily pay it if she was my dog.

Friendly staff, amazing service, good prices! They really care about the well being of your pet. Brought my dog in for an anal gland abces, they took great care of her event if they weren't registered with them! Now we definitely are!! I recommend to everyone !

Honestly a great vet have taken our 3 cats here and they are super welcoming and get us in next day for emergencys. Our cats love them and they provide fantastic services

No words to describe the service and piece of mind this Vet Clinic has given me over the years

Just recently (last week) switched over as this is the closest vet to our home, rather than making the longer drive to their regular vet. Joey was well taken care of by a great vet (Dr. McLeod), the reception staff assisted with ordering some specialized food for my diabetic cat, and then today, I got a follow up call from a staffer calling to check on Joey's tail to make sure the antibiotics were working. I am feeling very confident in our decision to switch clinics.

Loving staff and thorough veterinarians

I can not say enough good things about this vet hospital. They have saved two of my cats' lives. Always super kind and considerate. Knowledgeable people, understanding of budgets. They clearly not only care, but are passionate about helping their patients. They were able to find a way to accommodate my old kitty's allergies, and fussiness, and still find a way for me to get his illnesses controlled. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I've been a client for over 15 years. I've had countless visits with my cats and dogs both young and old. I've seen several of the different vets there and over the years I've met all the admin staff and the technicians. I have never been displeased with any of my visits. Friendly, informative, caring, and customer oriented vets, techs, and staff. Great clinic.

The Cumberland Vet clinic has always been fantastic for us. We have had 2 cats, a dog, a guinea pig and three rats who have over the years gotten excellent and (when needed) compassionate care from the techs and vets at this wonderful clinic. They are always very good to answer quick basic questions, they have the vitamins and specialty foods we need to keep our pets in tip top shape. They are very responsive to special requests even last minute appointments. Great group of folks who truly care for our furry family members!

Everybody there is always very friendly

The vet was very informative and did a thorough exam. She was not pushy and completely understood when I did not want to pay for additional tests and/or medication. She provided me with the information and let me make the decision. The front staff was friendly and efficient. The technician was understanding, informative, kind and very gentle with my cat.

We have been going here for over 10 years. The staff is amazing, care about the animals and their families, and they are so willing to help it's incredible. I can't say enough about the staff at this veterinary hospital.

As far as vets go it's pretty good. Everyone is friendly. My only gripe is that they try to make as much money off you as possible. But that's the same with every vet.
