If you're looking for a veterinary practice that goes above and beyond, treats your pets exceptionally well and makes sure you're informed every step of the way, you've find the right place. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Herman and the entire team. They even call the next day to make sure your pet is feeling okay and end the visit with delicious treats. It's always easy to schedule an appointment and they really do care about your pets. We shifted our veterinary services to york vet after having a terrible experience elsewhere on the UES that had left our puppy, Snowy scared and intimidated. Despite her fear and anxiety, they always handle Snowy extremely well. She has never let out so much as a howl when being handled and checked. I'm so so glad we found York Vet. Highly highly recommend. Thank you again, team york vet!

This place is awful, we had a very bad experience at this facility, too many negatives to even get into, we vowed never to take our pet back. My Recommendation is a Strong NO.

My dog loves it here! The techs Clive, Darryl and Jamell are the nicest, knowledgeable and kindest people here! The receptionist Diana is awesome (ask for her!) and Dr. Herman is amazing! Thanks for taking care of Rover! ❤

York Vet has recently left me feeling so disappointed in their services and availability. It is all but impossible to get in touch or get appointments and I worry about the care and service. I have followed Dr. Herman from a prior practice and loved that this was a small, family feeling practice. I worry they have grown too much and now I cannot ever get in to see the Dr. that I feel I trust. Not sure where this leaves me, but I have heard from many others that this, and the attitude and unorganized ways of the front desk staff, has left many people looking for new vets for our fur babies.

Dr. Spencer Herman was recommended to us from almost everyone on the UES doggy parks. Him and his team did not disappoint! We have been going for 2 years now and we only have positive things to say. They are very professional, knowledgeable, kind and trustworthy. They can almost always accommodate for last minute scheduling in the case of emergencies (our dog ate a mouse off the street). Never do you feel obligated or pressured. A true gem!

Dr. Herman and his team are wonderful. Very professional and sincerely care about every dog. Highly recommend them for all your veterinarian needs. My dog Jak wags his tail every time we enter the office!

I am so glad I found York Veterinary! All staff here is super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. This is my first time as a dog owner and Dr. Herman, Darryl and the rest of the team made the process so much easier. They make sure Remy stays on schedule with all of her appointments, made her feel at ease during every visit, and are always available to answer questions and concerns. The service provided here is excellent!

We rescued an older pup back in Oct 2020 (8 year old beagle mix) that has/had a lot of health issues. The care that we have received from Dr Calvin Ho has been great , he's responsive, caring and professional. All of the staff at York Vet Center are also very kind and professional, they have to deal with me calling all of the time, and they are always patient and compassionate. I would highly recommend this vet.

Just switched to this vet and had my first appointment and I would highly recommend. Dr. Herman made sure to discuss options with me for the treatment of my dog’s ear infection. When I went to pick up my dog they made sure to have a vet tech show me how to administer the medicine. The entire staff is pleasant and knowledgeable and I’m just happy that I found them!

The vet is great. However the front desk staff are not. I just spoke to gentleman who said he’s busy doing multiple things at once, gave me attitude and was not at all pleasant to speak to. If I’m mostly dealing with your staff, then I expect them to be professional and pleasant to deal with. Maybe some of them should be retrained with regards to customer service.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my two girls! Dr Herman is the best ...never worry about unnecessary procedures or tests from this Veterinarian! He is very professional and caring...not out to break your wallet like so many other places! I know him for several years now, He is a real animal person❤️ And his staff is wonderful too!!

The staff is great with their patients. It's always clean inside and they take special care of each client.

Absolutely thrilled with our experience. Our dog Cocolino had eye surgery here and Dr. Herman and his staff were extremely professional and kind to us from the beginning till the end. We highly recommend this practice for excellent results and affordable prices. Thank you from our family, we'll be back!

Doctor Herman is great! He loves animals and I have had a great first experience here few weeks ago! Definitely better than the other big clinics around the city and in the Upper East Side.

So happy that I found York Veterinary Center! I just moved to the city with my three dogs and cat. We were looking around for a quality vet and this place exceeded expectations! Booking an appointment was easy and the receptionist was so friendly... actually the entire staff was. They were all really excited to meet my pack. The consultation was very thorough and Dr. Herman asked detailed questions that no other vet has asked me before. He really listened to what I had to say and I could tell that he really cares about my dogs. The office is very clean and you get a discounted rate if you have multiple pets!!!! Highly recommend

We love Dr. Herman he is very kind to our dog and treats him with the best care. He got neutered with Dr. Herman and was completely fine afterwards. Dr. Herman is always very quick to respond and help us if we are worried. Plus our dog tries to pull us into his office when we take him on a walk

Really happy with the care my pup receives at York Vet Center. The office runs smoothly and feel like everyone is on the same page. Dr. Herman is thorough and explains everything clearly. I don't feel like "extras" are pushed. Nadira at the front desk is especially pleasant and helpful with getting annoying forms completed and sent to me.

I feel sooooo fortunate to have such a fantastic veterinarian! Dr. Herman and his staff are the absolute best! Top shelf all the way. Dr. Herman was an angel. Great w the animals. My Cheeto was a nervous reck but after seeing him, & finishing the examination blood drawn, nail clipping,. Urine analysis, etc. I'd expected him to come out worse but it wasn't the case. So I do recommend this clinic. They are all wonderful in a professional way. And the cleanliness of the clinic is beyond belief. Once U enter U feel comfy & at home!!

Dr. Herman and the rest of the staff at York Veterinary Center are beyond amazing! After getting a new puppy, this was our first stop. Since our first appointment to our last, we leave feeling incredibly cared for. Shout out to Nadira for checking up on our pup every day following an appointment! There are no gimmicks as everything is priced fair and appropriately. Since our dog’s first vaccinations to getting neutered, Spencer and the rest of the team have really made owning a pet a wonderful experience as it should be!

Dr. Herman and his team are super knowledgeable and caring. They even called to check in on my dog after her appointment to make sure she didn’t have any adverse side effects. Their prices are reasonable too. We’ve tried other vets in the area and will be returning to York Vet Center for all of our future vet needs! Highly recommend.

Dr Spencer Herman is an incredibly compassionate and thorough Veterinarian who, with his staff, provide great care to the neighborhood dogs and cats.

Dr. Herman and his staff are simply outstanding. Not only they take the time for a thorough visit, the clearly explain the procedures and answer your questions. They followed up on the status of our dog Balto every time we brought him there. I highly recommend him.
