I feel my pets get the best care. The Doctors and staff are excellent!

What hell the receptionist had worst behavior. I have needed the urgent care, but she just said you should go urgent care hospital without any efforts. Unbelievable corresponds.

My experience has been mixed. The doctors we had interactions with were all caring and nice. However the waiting room is very small and there's no waiting area for cats so this isn't really a cat friendly environment. Compared to our cat-only vet back in another city, now it's really stressful for our cats. Really hope they could have a larger waiting room or a cat-only waiting area. A second thing is the reception staffs, both of our cats are on prescription diets. But the staff didn't check which cat should have which food so when we need to buy food for both, they just made the food lists under one cat's name and the attitude when we raised that the two foods are for the two respectively was bad and we just didn't bother to have her redo the billing, and this is problematic for claims. The cat vet staff we had before was very responsible would do for each cat without reminding.

Dr. Cavanaugh is the most caring and compassionate vet. He genuinely loves and cares for our two cats, and always discusses our options before moving forward. We feel very lucky to have found someone that cares about our pets as much as we do.

In my opinion Peter Kross is the best Vet in NYC . His team is caring and take time with your pet. They are true vets who believe in treating your pet , not making money on grooming, boarding and other non-health related issues. They got me through a very tough time at the end of Joey's, life my almost 15 year old Cavachon'. A few weeks ago i brought home Chance a loving caring Poochon and the first call i made ( even before i picked him up) was to Peter and the team at Rivergate. Need I say more

The veterinarian Dr. Marissa Sue and vet techs were phenomenal in their care and compassion for my dog when she was having an odd and frightening reaction to an infection. I absolutely loved the process and results I got from them until I had received my bill for my dogs medication. For an easily accessible medication I was charged 5x the price which turned what should have been a $30 bill into over $100 just for medication. I had called them and was treated very respectfully by a vet tech that was handling calls, but never received a response from whoever is in charge with managing payments to discuss this. After paying more than average for in-house tests and a premium on bringing a new pet into the clinic it is obscene to further milk more money out of easily accessible medications that have a lengthy shelf life. I’m greatly disappointed at those in administration because the work being done by those seeing your pet is absolutely amazing. I would hope that admin would assign their finance and payment department to match the same quality, care, and transparency as those on the floor doing the best for your pet.

We’ve been clients of Rivergate for many years. Our beloved dachshund AMO loves Dr Kross and before him Louie was a patient for 12 years. We trust Dr. Kross implicitly and also want to give a shout out to Dr Kamibsky. This is the place if you truly love your dog.

I have been going to Dr. Peter Kross for about 30 years. You couldn't find a more caring vet. He is an excellent doctor and a kind and gentle human being as well! I would highly recommend him - and I have, many times. The entire staff is wonderful and your pet will receive the best care.

Dr. Kross is one of the best veterinarians in NYC. He has helped guide us as first time dog owners with extreme patience and kindness. We don't live that close by but he is absolutely worth the trek. Dr. Kross really makes you feel that he cares about your pet's wellbeing and that it is not just a business. All of staff at Rivergate Veterinary Clinic are incredibly courteous, efficient, and helpful.

Dr. Kaminsky is great with my little Tater Tot! (5lb chihuahua) plus RVC always has good availability and keeps to a fairly on time appointment schedule.

The doctors are great!. Very sensitive to the needs of your pets.

I really love the doctors and the care at Rivergate but they really max out the budget every time I go.

Super nice! My dog is leash reactive so they planned for her to come in a second entrance so she wouldn't have to deal with other dogs. The staff at reception are very helpful and professional. The vet is fantastic. She examined my dog, came out and we had a good discussion of everything from diet and food, skin allergies, spaying, weight. She went back in for more examination time and when we had finished we felt really comfortable with the vet and the entire practice. To top it off - my dog LOVES the place, all those smells! This practice is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The Rivergate staff and Dr. Kross are absolutely the best. Caring and attentive to both your pet’s and your needs. A great deal of time is taken with each pet patient and his / her human so that all questions are answered - leaving no uncertainties. I would not go anywhere else. In my mind THE BEST IN THE ENTIRE CITY!

I can’t say enough about this vet and dr kaminski. She is caring and kind and honest and I am so glad she is the vet for my dogs. She always thinks of the dogs first and not about testing and unnecessary treatment. I also value she thinks quality if life before all and is open to alternative options if it’s in the dogs best interest. Best vet in nyc by far!

Dr. Kross is the absolute best vet I've been to in a very long time. He is so kind and soft spoken, my dog just walked away with him and she came back just as happy. I highly recommend Rivergate Veterinary Clinic. The office is immaculate and his staff is just as wonderful. I wouldn't trust any one else with my dog.

Great city vet-Dr. Kross has been by my side for years---worked throughout the pandemic which is wonderful since I needed both cats to see the vet during this time.

I brought my dog to Rivergate because of red marks on his paws. After examining my dog, Dr. Kross provided 2 prescription medications and charged me $115.07. The same drugs cost $22.19 at Chewy.com. Additionally, without my consent and without informing me, Dr. Kross gave my dog a rabies vaccination and charged me $74.50. The rabies vaccine cost $19 at Petco. He also gave my dog a Kennel Cough vaccination and a heart worm test without informing me prior to taking my dog in back, and without my consent. He charged me $140.70 for the Kennel Cough vaccine and heart worm test. Petco offers the vaccine and heart worm test for $99. Finally, while my dog was in back, I, and the other people in the waiting room, heard him screaming. When Dr. Kross eventually returned to the waiting room with my dog, he informed that his staff sat on my dog, and he (or his staff) put a muzzle on him, and cut his nails. This was also done without my consent and without informing me this would be done. I would strongly recommend not taking your pet to Rivergate.

Peter Kross and the staff at rivergate have been our vets for our dogs for the past 13 years. There aren't enough positive things to say about them! From their friendly demeanor, helping squeeze us in when our work schedules are insane, to comforting us when we had to put down our older dog. A+ treatment.

Rivergate Veterinary Clinic is a fantastic place. The vets are lovely; the staff is friendly and welcoming. All staff members work together to give your furbaby the best care possible. I would not trust any other vet with my beloved pup, Ruprecht. I highly recommend the Rivergate Vet clinic; they are the best.

My pup Kiki ???? has been greatly taken care of for the past year or so. Honestly the first place She doesn't instantly shivers, which is a great indicator. They are always nice, polite and helpful us quickly. Highly recommend them.

Miracle is always happy to visit with Dr. Kross. The staff at Rivergate is friendly, pet-caring and professional. We're lucky to be in their care. Just got back from my dog Daisy's annual checkup. As always Dr Kross was wonderful, thorough and concerned about my dog. The staff member June is so helpful with all your concerns.

I have been taking my adorable toy poodle to Rivergate since I got her almost 12 years ago. At that time they confirmed that she was in good health and they have been taking good care of her each year. I'd highly recommend them as the primary vet for any cat or dog.
