This asian teenager practically threw my sisters dogs leash at her while handing her dog and was very overall rude. She came to me crying after. We will not bring her dog here again

Will not find me anywhere near here again. Lacks any type of attention, enrichment, affection, character, and responsiveness.

The Team at Happy Dogs are always quick to respond and provide information and accommodate last minute requests for overnight stays. Happy Dogs extensive hours make them a great a flexible option. My dog loves her Happy Dogs days and always comes home happy and tired!

I’ve been taking my pup Ace to happy dogs for about 6 months now for daycare, and he absolutely loves it! He gets so excited once we turn the corner and he knows where we are going. The check in process is seamless and mobile which makes it super convenient. The team there is professional, responsive, and it’s great to know that when I am away, my dog is in good hands! Not only do they offer daycare, but they do boarding and grooming. It’s great that when I go on vacation, or need to get him groomed, Ace is in a familiar place and is comfortable. Can’t recommend enough!

We love happy dogs!! I send my pup once or twice a week and he’s always so excited to go, wagging his tail like crazy. I love that you can watch the dogs on video. Also it’s so conveniently located to me. The staff is responsive and helpful and have even told me when Franklin wasn’t feeling well or if something was off about him. My dog has stayed overnight as well and he always comes back happily tired. Overall, great doggy daycare and I trust them completely. Huge fan!

My dog loves it here! Seamless experience for check in and check out and zero issues so far. Very responsive to my emails. Homer was boarded during the recent hurricane, and I was very nervous but they stayed in touch the whole time and made me feel comfortable.

Happy Dogs has been incredible for my dog and our family. It has created an environment for him to socialize with dogs, get comfortable with being without us, much need mental/physical excessive, and the price is totally reasonable!

Happy Dogs is wonderful! My dog is excited to go in the mornings and comes home happy. I work long hours, and the HD schedule is great for that. The team is super communicative and responsive as well. Good grooming services too. I only have good things to say!

Took my doggo here a few times for an indoor meet up. Nice staff, clean and bright, well ventilated.

Our dog Dexter loves his time at Happy Dogs (the 23rd and 1st St location)!! The staff is incredibly responsive and helpful, and are very communicative with any issues that need our attention. The costs are all extremely transparent and Happy Dogs is a fantastic value, especially considering the other options in the neighborhood. Most importantly, Dexter is always tired out and happy when he comes home!

This was my first time using any sort of daycare, and happy dogs has been above and beyond what I would have imagined. They’re warm, friendly, helpful and impressively attentive to Jonah, even when he’s one of dozens of dogs. Only trouble is that when we go on walks, Happy Dogs is the only place Jonah wants to go :)

My dog is obsessed. She’s normally very finicky and can pick fights at the park, but the staff says she’s one of their best behaved dogs so I strongly recommend this place for anyone with a puppy who needs to learn how to safely communicate with other dogs.

Expensive, but a very good daycare for dogs.

HappyDogs is absolutely fantastic! Our dog has an absolutely amazing time there! She comes back happy and exhausted - which we love as her owners! The staff are caring and responsible. They answer questions quickly and efficiently. I also love the ability to be able to watch the webcam and see how our pup is doing. It both reassures me that she is getting great care - and helps pick me up when I'm at work and missing her. I cant recommend them highly enough!

Happy Dogs is great... our two-year old dog has been going here since she was 4 months old. The team is wonderful and really cares about the dogs. We get quick updates for even minor things regarding our dog and photos when she stays overnight. The space is big and the dogs seem to fall right into that pack mentality.

I cannot say enough good things about Happy Dogs. My pup is a 6 month old Shih Tzu-Maltese, and extremely social. I knew I needed to bring him to daycare, not only to get exercise and play time, but also learn how to play with other dogs, to set him up for success later on. I am so happy I stumbled upon Happy Dogs, and have since referred them to many people I know with pups. They’re extremely responsive (usually respond to my email within a few hours), and treat my pup so well (even hand fed him in the beginning when he wasn’t eating much). The prices are also reasonable for the city. If you’re looking for a way to help your dog play with others, this is the place (and they do a temperament check at the beginning, so you know the dogs are well behaved) - very important! You can also check out their live cam if you wanna spy on your little one a bit throughout the day :).

Happy Dogs on 23rd is amazing! We know our pup is in good hands and love the flexibility it affords us. It’s been a great way to socialize Esme and we know she loves it too- she literally sprints on her way to school in the morning.

Our Wheaten Terrier, Baloo, LOVES Happy Dogs! She goes every week day and is always over the moon to see the staff (who are very friendly and professional). On the web cam I can see that she loves playing with the other pups there, and also has time and space to nap when she wants to. She is more relaxed than she was at her previous day care (which made her a little aggressive). She loves boarding there, and it's really convenient that we can drop her off for a few hours at the weekend if we need to get non-dog friendly things done. It's also great that she gets a monthly bath for free with her subscription. Baloo loves happy dogs!

Happy Dogs is perfect for our pup. Always reliable drop off and pick up and very flexible if we need to adjust the schedule. Biscuit always seems tired (but not anxious) when she gets home which is exactly what we want!

Happy Dogs is the best decision we ever made for Tito. He loves going there multiple times a week and staying over whenever we are on vacation. Plus the convenience of them giving him a bath or offering vaccine clinics makes our life much easier. He's been going for almost 3 years and still gets excited every time I say it is time to go to daycare!

The Happy Dogs staff is always so friendly and responsive. It’s always tough for us to leave our dog, but we know Ellie is in good hands at Happy Dogs! It’s the only place she stays in NYC!

Happy Dogs has been absolutely wonderful daycare for our little guy Bean. He gets so excited to go in the mornings and the staff are so kind and friendly. It's reassuring to be able to watch our dog on the camera throughout the day. Additionally, we love the care they take to build community through hilarious instagram posts and fun "themed" events throughout the year. We cannot recommend Happy Dogs enough!

The best decision we ever made for our Vizsla. He has lots of energy (as Vizslas do) and Happy Dogs helps him get all of it out in a productive way. They are a practical, helpful, wonderful organization and he simply LOVES going to them. Good prices for Manhattan, flexible schedules if necessary, understanding policies (seriously, they are very realistic in expectation). It is totally worth it. Their check-in system for daycare is awesome, and I swear he even gets some training there. Love being able to watch him during the day using their webcams.

I’ve been boarding my dog here for 3 years, and they are simply amazing. Friendly staff, daily updates when boarding. Plus, they have a webcam I can use to check up on the pup. Love this place!

Happy Dogs at 23rd and 1st is, simply put, astounding. From their expert usage of proper pack handling techniques, to how they care for their human customers, Happy Dogs continues to exceed my expectations. Our pup thoroughly loves his friends at Happy Dogs - both K9 and human, alike. He is a calm, relatively lazy soul, but whenever "daycare" is mentioned, he beams with excitement and energy. On the way to Happy Dogs, he desperately urges us to walk as quickly as possibly; he cannot wait to play with his buddies! Leaving Happy Dogs is an entirely different story. He is so euphorically exhausted that it is now US that have to do the pulling to get him home. For the next ~3 days, he will be "daycare hungover" and do nothing but sleep. The staff at Happy Dogs is exceptional in their email response time to any questions, comments, or concerns we might have. It is quite evident how much they genuinely care for their customers and their pups.

My dog Stella and I love Happy Dogs! Having been brought up in harsh conditions, Stella is a sensitive dog and does best when she has reassurance and attention from people - this has made traditional boarding in kennels difficult and I have always been heartbroken to get reports of her crying and visibly losing confidence when we have boarded in the past. The open environment at Happy Dogs provides her with dog and people attention alike to make the experience so much better. We have a monthly subscription and I love the switcheroos as my work schedule is always subject to change, so the flexibility is great. The quick responsiveness and availability to set up boarding have made last minute weekend getaways possible for me! Finally, the staff is great! All the employees who work at the front desk know Stella by name and helped ease her first day jitters when I dropped her off. The live cam, facebook videos, and changing pictures in the lobby give me something to look forward to on days that I drop her off. Definitely recommend, Stella says "pawesome place":)

We love Happy Dogs! More importantly our pup Toby loves it! He basically walks himself there, he’s always so excited! Toby started going once or twice a week at six months old and was great to get him to learn how to socialize with other dogs! I was nervous at first, but having the live cam and getting pictures of Toby from the employees confirm that Toby is in good hands and having a blast! I recommend Happy Dogs to all dogs and dog owners, you won’t regret it!
