There is NO BETTER!!! On every single level!! All the smart, kind folks at CVC check every single box. Four months after our 13 year old soulmate Shihtzuh, was lovingly and empathetically put to sleep by Dr. Paul Schwartz we know that we had borrowed atleast 5-6 more years with our beloved dog, thanks to the genius of Dr Schwartz, Dr Roelke and the gang @ CVC. And not extra sickly years but BONUS well lived years. We were profoundly impressed through the whole journey with hearts filled with immense gratitude.

My worst nightmare was to have to put my dog Jacob down I can’t believe express in words how compassionate and kind they were to me and my Jacob. Thank you guys so much I was a complete mess and they were #1. Made the process so easy for me and I can’t thank them enough!

I can't say I love taking my dogs to the vet, but I do love Center for Veterinary Care. They are great with my animals and Dr. Roellke is one of the best vets I've experienced. She is practical, thoughtful, and an excellent diagnostician. She provides all the info you need to make an educated decision on your animal friend's health and wellness and in my opinion, uses her years of experience to treat your animal's whole being, rather than simply ordering tests because that's what a computer program says to do. She's a lovely mix of wisdom, practicality, compassion, and experience.

In the past month I've had to go to the Center for Veterinary Care twice for emergencies. One was for a very sick stray that collapsed on my doorstep that I'm taking care of and will be finding a home for. The other was for my elderly 19 year old cat who had a sudden stroke and had to be put to sleep because blood clots caused her paralysis in her back leg. They were able to help me with emergencies both times when I called seven other places that couldn't. Even my regular visiting vet was backlogged and couldn't come. I thought they have a very caring staff and they were able to accommodate me with some issues. The only problem I have is they are the most expensive Veterinary around. They charge a lot more for a visit fee then the veterinarians I normally go to. the area that they are in they can charge those fees because I'm guessing usually people that have a lot of money or come up from the city use them for Veterinary Care. I would definitely recommend dr. Schwartz and doctor roelke. I had Dr. Roelke years ago in an emergency when I had a cat have a seizure. I found her very caring also. I found doctor Schwartz talked to me and explained things to me and didn't talk at me. I've been taking care of feral cats and stray cats for 22 years so I have an understanding of a lot of things. I appreciate when veterinarians or doctors don't talk down to you.

I was able to schedule an appointment the day after i got my new puppy with Dr Schwartz. From the moment I called the office the staff was incredible, one girl was nicer than the next and VERY professional and personable. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Schwartz and his sense of humor left us smiling all the way home. Well, one week later on a late Sunday night when the office was already closed, my puppy was experiencing a problem with her stool. I was very concerned.(don't want to be too graphic) I called the office and they said the Dr. on call would call me back. WITHIN 4 minutes i was on the phone with the doctor who said she will be ok, but bring her in first thing in the morning and even though he was all booked for the day he said not to worry i will see her. The next day his office called me BEFORE they were even open to assure me the doctor was waiting to see my puppy. You really can't ask for better care than that! My puppy is fine, they treated her with some medicine for 5 days and she was better after 2! This is the care you want for your most special 4 legged friends!

When my dog was hit by a car, CVC was the only vet for miles with availability and they were able to take him in right away. Their staff was really kind & reassuring and all of their vets seemed extremely competent. Although I couldn’t go in with him due to COVID restrictions, they called and gave me updates multiple times a day (even over a holiday weekend). I was surprised by how reasonable the final bill was and after he was discharged they were really responsive with follow-up calls and emails. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Thank you for all your help!

My dog Buzz ate rat poison and I called them on a Saturday minutes before closing time. They took him in and quickly worked on him and were very professional. They saved my baby.

We brought our 2 year old pup to Dr. Schwartz two months after a leg injury. She had been misdiagnosed by two other vets and was still limping when we first went to Millbrook. Dr. Schwartz was extremely thorough in his exam, explanation and treatment plan. We were thrilled to finally receive a proper diagnosis and a plan to help her recoup (and it didn't even involve surgery or thousands of dollars!) Within just a few days she was doing so much better and was well on the road to recovery. It has now been several months and she is still doing well. So thankful to have found Dr. Schwartz!

What a wonderful veterinary clinic. The level of professionalism is across the board from when you walk in to the door, to when you meet with the veterinarian. The entire staff is extremely helpful, and gentle with the patients. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Roellke are the absolute best vets - full stop. Absolute experts. I had been advised to put down my lab pups at 6 months due to profound hip dysplasia. We have enjoyed 10 years of healthy, happy, loving dogs because of the care received here. While my roots are here, I live in MA; I travel here for routine care and illness because no one else compares to the expertise, thoroughness, attentiveness and kindness of the doctors - and the entire staff of CVC.

(Millbrook) I think Dr. Roellke is one of the best vets I've ever met. She has amazing analytic and diagnostic skills AND she loves the animals AND she's personable. We have a lot of animals and I've brought everything from a senior dog w hind quarter paralysis and a 'uncurable" UTI (which she figured out how to clear) to a budgie who had a stroke to a dog w pericardial effusion. With each one she has been thoughtful, caring, kind and challenged to find an answer. The staff is wonderful too. Our Golden was a big baby and hated having his nails cut. The staff could always do it. Any way, I could go on and on, but I'm grateful to CVC and feel fortunate to have them to care for the animals I love so much.

We recently moved here from out of state and were referred to Millbrook Veterinary by a friend. We are very happy with the care and concern for our "special needs" dog and with the quick response to our concerns for our dog's issues by the staff there. Dr. Schwartz has quickly addressed our concerns with thorough investigation and follow up to our dog's symptoms. We are overall very grateful to find such excellent care for our pet and would highly recommend Millbrook Center for Veterinary Care.

When my horse developed an 80% tear of her deep digital flexor tendon, I knew it could have been the end of us. Dr. Frederick and his team were so prompt, so available and so supportive it helped us both physically and emotionally through a difficult and frightening time. I felt he had genuine affection for my horse, and Dr. Frederick gave me access to him for any questions I had, at any time. When he came to the barn for other patients, Dr. Frederick would never fail to ask how Cheyenne was doing and sometimes went out the check for himself. Less than two years later, Chey and I entered our very first horse show, did five events, and took home six ribbons, including reserve champion! How's that for a success story?

Over the past year I have used the Center to examine and treat three of my animals: one elderly lab, one elderly cat and one very healthy and energetic yellow lab. Each of the circumstances have been different. I have found the Center to be responsive to the needs of my pets and to be respectful of my need to know just what they are seeing in the examination, what my options are for treatment and very patient with respect to my many questions and suggestions. Over the past 20 years I used the same veterinarian in the Millbrook area. Forced to change practices I was not expecting the same quality of care. Surprise! I got it. Thank you Center for Veterinary Care. I only wish they treated fowl and sheep as well.

We can’t possibly be more happy to call the Center for Veterinary Care and their staff our “go to” animal care family! We found Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Roellke, and their amazing team when we adopted our Trevor [Labradane] about 6 ½ years ago …

I moved to Millbrook in October with two black labs. From the beginning I knew we were in excellent hands. Dr. Roellke is thorough, gentle, caring, so willing to answer questions, resulting in the best pet care possible. One lab is completely blind and with Dr. Roellke's help we were guided in a direction that may mean sight for this great boy. Hope is the word. Thank you!
