I like them. They always do a great job on my Golden. We live on the lake, and she swims a ton. They keep her ears clean. And She always knows She looks extra pretty when she gets home & shows of the bandana around her neck. Which she then chews up. And when we take it off her, she carries it around for a few days. Honestly, I spend more on my Golden’s hair care than my own.

I took my puppy, Brooks, for his first grooming and they did amazing. He smells wonderful, he’s so soft and he seems to love it there! My pup was very very fluffy as he’s a mini goldendoodle but because the weather has been so warm I wanted him cut pretty short. When I saw him I couldn’t help but laugh but I Hope Amanda (the wonderful groomer) knows I wasn’t laughing at the cut, he just looked so silly from going from tons of fur to very little! But it has grown on me and I love it!! Scheduling was very easy, they were responsive and very professional.

Did a very good job on my dog. He is old and doesn't like getting groomed, but they were able to work with him.

Well my wife called me at work in tears today after her experience with this groomer. We haven’t been able to get our Goldendoodle Brewer in for a grooming appointment as ours was cancelled last month due to Covid-19. We didn’t think any groomers were open, but was recommended from our vet that this place is still operating. We took him in, knowing most of the fur will come off as mats had been forming and we did our best to keep up with brushing but weren’t doing it the right way. The owner called my wife before pick up and right away told her she thought about reporting us for animal cruelty as we hadn’t been keeping up with grooming. And if we didn’t keep up with it or couldn’t afford we should just put him up for adoption. I couldn’t believe this when I heard it, I don’t know what gives anyone the right to tell a customer these thoughts. We love our dog to the moon and back and have treated him with our best care each and every day. Not to mention they brought out his shaved coat to show her how bad it was and how they cut both of his ears, telling us he needed vet care instantly. I was appalled at this customer service as we paid $100 and basically ruined my wife and dogs day. Simply showing how to properly brush and take care of his fur like she was shown later was all that needed to happen. You took it way to far and we simply will not return or recommend and hope people read this to know who they are dealing with.

Very pleased with how they took care of our older dog. At the time I stopped by she was on the table in the process of being groomed and she was happy as can be. I can tell the workers(owners?) really love animals. 10 out of 10 will go again and have recommended to friends.

Wouldn’t recommend an enemies pet there. Two times they saved my dogs undercarriage and ears leaving the skin burned and irritated, one time required a vet visit and a $200 bill. When I explained they said it was the groomers fault you I was rewarded with being called a liar and told I wasn’t welcome there anymore. PetSmart gives a better haircut anyway.

Five stars! Donna, Angie and Amber are the best. They're kindhearted, they love animals and they do a fantastic job. My doggie always looks great when I pick him up and I know he's gotten a lot of TLC during his visit. I HIGHLY recommend Suburban Tails!

Not the same since Jaime left. I'll be finding another groomers now. Update: For those of you who went here for cat grooming, I found a new place (well, they've been open for a year now) in Solvay called Pet Style and they groom may cat!! They're awesome with my Kitteh (don't judge my naming skills) and treat him like he was their own. It's a drive, but totally worth it. Cheaper than my vet (who charges me $300 for a shave down, they charged me $95) and always feel welcome there!! And $5 nail clips for the in between times makes it my new go to place.

I took my two cats, Arthur and Lilly, and my dog, Benjamin, to Suburban Tails for the first time a few weeks ago, and I'm so happy I did!...Not only did Angie do a great job grooming them, they also responded so well to her, which hasn't been the case with other groomers...The salon is very clean and Amber and Angie are so warm and welcoming!...Thank you so much for a job well done and we'll be back soon!

Almost a year ago, I posted the post below about a couple of groomers who were no longer with us. It is unfortunate that 3-days ago, one of these said groomers, ‘The Cool Dad,’ felt the need to usurp business and direct it to his salon. The lack of ethics, integrity, and professionalism is astonishing to say the least. I'm part owner of the salon, and I'm very grateful I have loyal customers who called me personally. Their stories were not inconsistent with what is mentioned in some of the unfavorable reviews. We want everyone to know the situation has been rectified, and the groomers in question are no longer with us. We have restructured and we have a great new team in place with more than 35-years collective experience. They have worked wth us before and are not only superb groomers, but they are also kind, compassionate, and have a true love for animals. If there's anyone else who had an unfavorable experience a few months ago, we will make it whole. Our customers who called us have since been in with their pets. To quote Lizzie's mom, 'The salon has a whole new feel to it - it's an entirely different environment now.'

I called and was advised by Angie that Ken no longer worked there and the salon name had changed to "Suburban Tails". She said she groomed cats and would be able to groom my Maine coon, Simba. I usually bring him in annually around this time of year to get a "lion cut". I don't think Angie really knew what a lion cut meant as she shaved his tail down to almost the tip when it doesn't require any shaving to begin with. She also left an excess amount of fur along his chest and leg areas. She also forgot to give him a pedicure which I assume would have been the first thing you do when grooming a cat. I called her 2 days later and she apologized and said she could stop by my house the following Saturday to give him a pedicure after she visited the Farmers Market as it was just blocks away to make things easier for the cat and having to drive back out to Manlius. I waited all day and she never showed and didn't bother to call either. I called the salon 2 days later on Monday and had to leave a voicemail. I still have not heard back from her after 11 days. I think it's rude and unprofessional and don't see the "new" salon, "Suburban Tails" going far. I don't know where Ken went but really wish I did!

We've been taking our dogs to this location for years. When Donna purchased the business we were concerned. Our dog Murphy is high strung, nervous, and not always fully cooperative. Pet Expressions handled Murphy well, and the cut was excellent. Donna had added a degree of professionalism without losing that personal touch. After many excellent cuts, we did have one disappointing experience not all that long ago. So why five stars? Sometimes how a business deals with a problem tells you more than when things go smoothly. Donna made the appropriate adjustments, and our high expectations are once again being met. We applaud Donna's high standards and her level of personal interest in both her business and customers. Well done!

Ken is no longer there, this business has been sold to the most rude person on the planet/ she groomed my dog and did a terrible job, usually bows are put in her hair, no bows, when I questioned I was told she was too lazy today. Aside from the fact his woman is not clean and the shop is messy, I also observed her leaving a dog unattended on the table
