Our senior dog dislocated her hip after jumping off the couch. We just moved here out of state and hadn’t established a new vet. We were turned away by several vets and hospitals because it wasn’t “life threatening” except South Shore. Not only were they able to get us in the next morning when I called them right before they closed the night before, but they also called us earlier in the morning to let us know there was a cancellation and asked if we wanted to come in early. They took exceptional care of our dog and were very straight forward with options and potential outcomes both good and bad. She is now in recovery and was even able to walk a little the same day. They were kind and patient when I was an obvious nervous wreck. To top it off, they stayed open later for us (it was New Year’s Eve) so that they could make sure she would be okay to go home for the weekend. I am incredibly grateful and we will continue to use South Shore for all our vet needs. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

I highly recommend them. Each and every vet in this practice cares, they listen to you and help in every way they can. I have a dog that is reactive that they handle with professionalism and make sure that the visit goes smoothly for her. They are great with her and my other 2 love the office. The front desk is very professional as well

Dr. Mollie Spillett and Christina are simply amazing. Long story short, my cat needed a health certificate so that she could fly with us to Hawaii. About 3 weeks away from my flight, the vet that I had, all of a sudden, told me that she was not authorized to do the health certificate. I was scrambling to try find a vet that is available and is authorized to do the health certificate. Fortunately, I've found the South Shore Veterinary Hospital and talked to Christina. She was able to squeeze me in 9 days before my flight. She was extremely helpful and told me all the things that I needed to prepare and send her ahead of the appointment. Dr. Spillett was also extremely helpful and professional. Not only she had triple checked everything on the checklist prior to my appointment, she went through everything with me one more time while I was there with my cat. She was very thorough on ensuring all the boxes on the checklist were checked and issued the health certificate for my cat. Because of Dr. Spillett's and Christina's professionalism and willingness to help, my cat didn't have to quarantine when we got to Hawaii. Thank you, Dr. Spillett and Christina! You guys are the best!

I have a dog and a cat seen by the vets or techs. They are always professional and take the time necessary to ensure you understand the information regarding your pet. I feel confident entrusting the care of my loved animals to them. I am grateful I learned of this practice. I’d also like to say that the staff at the front desk are always friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic with my cats. My one boy was so scare he was shaking, but the doctor took his time to let my cat sniff him before he started the exam, and making sure the hallway was free of dogs before moving him to the other room for his shots.

They work pretty hard to get your pet seen, even in this insane day-and-age. My pet is always treated kindly and I am always pleased with their services. All the vets are great—we’ve seen them all!

Wonderful group of veterinarians. Office staff is friendly and professional. Belle has been with them for years. The vets listen to what you say about your fur baby and aren't pushy about treatments. They are very good about nervous pet patients.

I have been using the vet office for many many years. They always go above and beyond. The doctors are amazing and take all the time you need to explain things, repeat things, check back on things. The attention to detail and personalized treatment and care is second to none. I can not say enough about how great they are.

Took very good care of my little one. I still don't agree with not being at appt, wouldn't send child into pediatrician by him/her self, but COVID, what you gonna do.

My puppy, though well trained, cannot contain his excitement when we pull in the parking lot. He nearly pulls my arm out of the socket to get into the building, and he always comes back smelling like perfume haha! I know he gets a lot of love when he takes a visit to South Shore, though sometimes I think he fakes being sick to go see his friends there. Dr. Anderson, and Jenna are extremely responsive, professional, their follow up is quick, and their explanations are thorough, detail oriented, and empathetic. I couldn’t imagine going to a different veterinarian’s office and receiving the service we do, while simultaneously, my dog loves going there! Seriously awesome place. 10/5 stars.

Where do I begin with my experience with South Shore Veterinary Hospital?! To me, as a business owner as well - Google reviews are extremely important, to inform current and future customers of experiences and recommendations towards a business. With that being said, I absolutely, hands down give South Shore Veterinary Hospital 5 stars, across the board. My family and I had been bringing our two dogs, Rufus (Doberman, 4) and Daisy (English Mastiff, 4 - in May) to another local vet office (I won't mention names for their sake) since we got Rufus back in 2016. I, thought that they had been great, but we never really had anything "too" serious to go for. We had recently brought Daisy there for a few things, and long story short, I was absolutely disgusted with this office in numerous ways. Main reasoning was their bedside manner, and how they made me feel as a pet owner. Sort of if I wasn't going to do things their way, then they would be (more than) rude to me from there on out. I, while still having my animals as patients at the other office, had been recommended to South Shore by a close friend, and had called to discuss Daisy's issue, and see if at the time (last week) could be of any assistance. I called, and spoke with Mackenzie, who right off the bat with answering the phone was nothing short of upbeat, and enjoyable to talk to. In our phone conversation, she was sympathetic, caring & concerned, never once pressured me to switch to their office, and gave me as much (knowledgeable) information as she could without me even speaking to the doctor. Well, unfortunately as of last night, my beautiful pup had taken a turn for the worse, and immediately waking up this morning, I had called our current vet to explain the situation. They were rude, gave me a different answer they gave me last week, which was also a different answer than they had gave my fiance last week, and when I confronted the woman on the phone, she told me that "you apparently heard what you wanted to hear" last week. That was the final straw. I had requested Daisy's records (knowing I would be calling South Shore), and she told me that they would do it when they could get around to it. I was flabbergasted as the pure rudeness of this office I once thought was so great. I called South Shore, Mackenzie answered (upbeat and peppy, once again), and immediately when telling her my name, my dogs name, and breed - she not only remembered us, but remembered the situation. She got me an appointment within less than 2 hours of me calling, and I brought Daisy in. Unfortunately, Daisy had to have surgery today. But, even so...(because everything going on with Covid-19 everything had to be done via phone after bringing Daisy to them), they communicated EVERYTHING with me, without skipping a beat. From the initial phone call with the doctor before ANYTHING was done, to what they would do beforehand, to costs, keeping me informed before and during surgery, to just now following up with post surgery information. Even considering the circumstances (Covid-19), and this being our first appointment, they've given me that warm, fuzzy feeling, and like not only our animals, but us are now a part of their family. That to me says a lot. So without a doubt, I would give South Shore Veterinary Hospital 5 stars (more if possible). Thank you to Mackenzie, Dr. Molly and the rest of the staff who was nothing short of professional, personable and saved my baby girl Daisy's life today!! This will not go unnoticed, and I will be sure to recommend you guys to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you again!!! -Nikki, Luke, Mike, Max, Daisy & Rufus❤️????????

Great place took me in when other vets wouldn't take on new patients which I feel is shameful the animals health should always be #1 & at South Shore it was they helped my baby kittens and gave them the medicine they needed totally recommend this place for your furry babies????????

South shore is a place you can trust to bring your pets. The staff and vets are very attentive and friendly. You can tell that they care and treat your pet as if they were their own. They are great with pricing and also offer advice on how to get the best prices for meds etc. During this epidemic with the virus. Unfortunately we had our dog Mia get really sick. They were prompt to call back and check in on her status. Which I am very grateful for that. But unfortunately Mia wasn’t doing well with her prognosis. So we had to make the hard decision to lay her to rest. What south shore did was offer us a quarantined off to the side room. So that we could be with our baby in her last moments. With the regulations it was an act of kindness and the vet was amazing in making us and Mia feel comfortable in her last moments. Thank you to the vet Dr Paul Krewtow. You were very helpful with Mia and answering our questions. Also to the vet staff amazing and pleasant. My future pups will only go here. These people are great at what they do!
