They are the most wonderful vet I have ever brought my animals too. They really care for them and try everything to help. They’re very understanding and will go out of there way to make sure your animals are good. Everyone there is so nice! Definitely recommend brining your animals here!!

My senior chihuahua needed his vaccinations updated and we needed a new vet. We were referred to Capitaland. We were seen within a few days. Paco was handled with TLC and I was given great information about keeping my 16 yr old in “terrific shape for his age.” All staff members were great and I never felt rushed in this busy practice. It was never suggested that I pursue services that were unnecessary, unlike other practices that I had visited in the past. The Hospital was immaculate from waiting room to exam room. Your pet and you will be treated with professional and kind attention at Capitaland.

I have about five vets that I work with all amazing vets and caring but Capitaland never fails to disappoint! They are truly amazing people not once not twice but many many times they have gotten our dogs in last minute when they are fully booked. The quality of the work is top of the notch! They take their time to call you to see how the dogs are doing even if they didn’t see your pup, 20/10 I recommend. Thank you very much

Refused to take new client due to COVID issue? I did not know (pet) hospitals are exclusive to certain clients.

I took my kitten to get neutered here and it was a horrible experience. My kitten not only suffered from his wounds but they were incompetent in the aftercare. They didn’t even think give him a cone, until I asked about it in the following days. He was bleeding for days, and they did see him for follow up but were insensitive and unhelpful. The only solution they offered was a $200 test to see if he maybe had a blood clotting issue (which didn’t even make sense given the circumstances). They did clean the blood out of his carrier, which was very nice. But my kitten is still suffering 3 weeks later, so I have taken him to a different vet which told me they give all cats cones immediately, and that the incision they made isn’t typical. I will not be taking my kitten here again as the information from other vets I called and taken him to conflict with what they told me.

We brought our sick bunny here and Dr. Zaber did an amazing job of figuring out the problem, prescribing medicine and explaining to us how to administer it. They took us in for a same-day emergency appointment even though we were not even existing clients. I'm happy to say our bunny has made a miraculously quick recovery and is just about back to 100%. We will definitely be bringing all of our animals here from now on! UPDATE 11/11/2019: This afternoon, Dr. Zaber herself called to check on how our bunny was doing. We've brought our animals to several different vets over the years and never have we found one that seems to care about their patients more than Dr. Zaber at Capitaland Animal Hospital. For sure the best customer service we have seen in a long time from any type of business.

I could not be more thankful to have found Capitaland Vet! Dr. Zaber & all of the staff there were absolutely wonderful to me & my fur baby. They were kind, caring, compassionate, & beyond accommodating! They took my cat Thunder in for an urgent visit immediately; and I called them last minute, on a holiday weekend, ~1.5 hours before closing (no routine vet & everywhere else I’d called could not take us in today)!

Highly recommended for consistent quality care. I have used them for over 10 years for my dogs and would not go anywhere else. It is also a good safe place to board animals too. Experienced, knowledgeable staff, most of which have been there for a while which is not often the case these days.

This is a wonderful practice! Please post your favorable reviews here and on Yelp. I don't live in Albany but have been here on business twice for extended periods. Both times I brought my pets to the practice to address immediate medical needs. The front office administrative team and back office vet and vet tech teams are awesome. You will find a team ready to handle you and your pet with professionalism, care and compassion.

We've been taking our dog Toby to Capitaland Animal Hospital for the past 8 years. In that time they've taken care of his annual checkups and immunizations and also preformed surgery to remove bladder stones. We also use their boarding services when we go out of town.
