Dr. Ratner is great! She's easy to talk to and straightforward with explaining what may be happening with your pet. Her staff seems caring about your pets. Definitely have picked our new vet for our pet!????

Everyone in the office is great! I’d never bring any of my babies anywhere else! They even followed up to make sure my baby was doing better.

Awful service for our lovely babies, especially from the administration point of view ( making an appointment and greet you) Poor communication with patients/ clients. It’s all about going “next, next and next “…. Very disappointed.

This is the Best Vet on Long Island . The staff is so Kind and Doctor Ratner let’s you ask whatever questions & is very informative. You make an appointment and you’re in and out with no long wait. And typically vaccines are extremely expensive but the prices here are very Fair . Thank you Guys So much for taking such good care of my insane pup Bonnie. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet

We have been taking our pets there for 27 years! Would NEVER go anywhere else. Dr Ratner and the staff are amazing. They all care about you and your pets. Service, even during Covid, is phenomenal!!

Efficient. Accommodating. Appt. On emergency basis. Even during virus scare. Very good care. Fixed my cat cat quickly. Blood report next day. Reasonable dr. Rates. Parking a bit tight on street. Dr. Was so good. Inspired a calm confidence that I didn't walk in with. Was frantic with my bloody cat. Would highly recommend IP Animal Hospital.

We are so grateful for all the attention and care the team at Island Park Animal Hospital gave our dog. Dr. Ratner was always honest, direct and available when we needed advice. We will never forget their kindness.

I’ve taken my dog here for the past 2 years and keep telling myself things will get better bc I believed the hype of the reviews. I went to another vet in the area and was a total 360. I feel like they don’t care and it’s just “next next next”. Every time I bring my dog inside I don’t really get that great bedside manner from the vets. I get it you see 100 animals a day but come on. Maybe I’m reading into it to much but went to a different vet and they actually seemed to care.

Let me first say we are new patients at Island Park Animal Hospital. For the past 4 months, Dr. Ratner has been my lifeline to sanity. I have 2 senior dogs, 1 senior cat and a 6 year old cat. In the past 4 months, our Bichon Frise Charlie (11) has been diagnosed with diabetes and most recently, our Havanese Joey (10) has been diagnosed with cancer. Not to mention that our felines cannot be left out. Louie (14) and his nephew Sylvester (6) like trouble as well. They don't always see eye to eye and had an altercation that caused a nasty abscess on the side of Louie's face. I've been at the vet more in these past 4 months than I have in the entire lives of these boys. With that said, I should be counting my blessings and believe me, I am. Our biggest blessing has been Dr. Ratner and her wonderful staff. Dr. Ratner has surpassed any expectations I've ever had or have experienced with any other vet. I am able to be in contact her 24 hours if I had any concerns. After tests, diagnosis was determined within 24 hours. They got me in with each of my dogs right away to start treatment. Taught me how to administer Charlie's insulin as well and monitor him at home. When Joey's cancer was recently discovered she had him in surgery that same day. As I type, 10 days later after surgery, we have our happy go lucky Joey back. We are still waiting on pathology results so we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Joey is happy and that's most important. Our boys are seniors so we cherish each day with them. We all wish they'd live out their lives with us till it was our time but sadly, only the good die young. I cannot thank Dr. Ratner enough for giving us extra time, even if it's one extra day with all of our boys. She's very realistic, no unnecessary care or treatments. She's not out to make money off your emotions. Quite honestly, with all she has done for my family and what we've spent on vet bills, I don't know how she does it. Just a reminder for my fellow animals lovers. When we take a pet into our lives, as difficult as it is, we as humans need to put our emotions aside when it comes to their health. Their care is not about us, it's about them. I know deep in my heart that they are getting the best possible care and treatment with Dr. Ratner. Hug your babies, love them with all your heart and if they are in need of a fantastic veterinarians, I highly recommend Dr. Ratner AND Dr. Akkaya (who is new to Island Park Animal Hospital). I promise you, your baby will have the best care possible. No matter the outcome, my heart is at peace knowing we did the best for our boys.

I took my aunt's dog and because of the covid you stay on your car call them when you arrived and like two minutes later they will get your dog and it becomes a fast but a good visit.

I’ve been with DR Ratner for almost 25 years and I have volunteered in lots of humane societies in the area who use all different doctors, she is by far the best, and she is reasonable too!! Very practical and down to earth doctor.

NEVR GO THIS VET EVER! She shouldn't be a Vet at all. I took a 2 week old kitten sick. I found her behind my shed this vet didnt give a promper check up and didnt get mites out of ears and charged me $70 for nothing. Then I noticed marks on myself went to the dermatologist and they confirmed it was RINGWORM! NOW I HAVE IT, MY MOM AND 3 OF MY FRIENDS have it! If you want animal checked out the proper way definitely go to another vet. We've been trying call and she hangs up on me when I tell my name she refuse to take responsibility for mistreatment.
