Banfield Pet Hospital Farmingdale, New York

Love Banfield, have been using them for quite some time and short of a major emergency they are very good, quality of doctors in my opinion have gotten better, they always cares but seemed too "busy" not the case over the last year, highly recommend their "insurance" plan well care is excellent for keeping your pup or kitty in top top shape

I love Banfield. But lately it's so difficult to get a timely appointment. That really needs to improve

They never have any appointments. My dog needed an emergency bandage change and they told me they couldn't help me and I have there insurance I pay every month

I booked an appointment for my new puppy a month ago. She needs heartworm medicine. I received a call two days before my appointment that they will not take my dog because they are not taking any new clients. I wish they would have reached out sooner so I could get my pup her medicine. If they were not excepting new clients then I should not have been allowed to make the appointment in the first place.

Very good service - you book appointment so you will not wait too long - checking my dog carefully and wrote prescription and gave the medication against resonable price for both services and medications. I wish not go again for my dog health issue ???? but this is recommended place for pets who needs care

Amazing vet, very happy with the pet insurance, the vet and the entire staff. The are very caring and professional.

Friendly staff , and vets . Couldn't make appointment for pet in short time frame at any location due to 'all booked up' no one available to assist us with feline regurgitating often . I guess well care is the most they can do . Had to find a vet that cares for exotic felines somewhere else . ????

First time back in 2 years, since I lost my dog, and I was very used to the staff previously having had 3 pets with them for 8+ years. All new faces and a new doc for us but I can already tell it will be a good experience going forward.

Thank u thank u thank u to the staff!! Everyone was exceptional from Brittany, to nurse Kristen, if not her name I’m sorry, to the dr. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help ease the pain of having to put your fur baby down. When I decide to adopt another kitty, this is the ONLY place I will ever bring my fur baby too. Again from the bottom of my heart I can’t thank u enough for making me feel at ease during this time. ????????????

THE WORST OF THE WORSTTTTTTTT! HIGHLY WOULDNT SUGGEST THEM AT ALL ! I WORK AT A PUPPY STORE SND ALWAYS TELL NEW PUPPY OWNERS GO TO BANFIELD AND JOIN THE PLAN BUT HELLLLL TO THE NO !!!! WORST SERVICE EVER ! I WILL BROADCAST THIS TO 17.K FAN BASE !! BEYOND DISGUSTED

Don't have enough great things to say about them. The staff, the promptness of the appointment, the cleanliness. We have referred so many people here and they are just as happy

I being in different banfields but this one even though is far from the house I really like it my dog was treated really nice and that's all it matters

This place deserves zero stars just like Commack and Nesconset. Yesterday my cat was not doing well so I called to make an appointment to Nesconset and it goes straight to voicemail saying they’re closed (I called twice). Since they are closed I call Commack twice and apparently they are also closed. I call farmingdale and finally someone answered. She says the other locations should be open and that she would let me know why they are closed. She never told me why and while she did make an appointment for my cat the next morning at 8:30 am. It was canceled for no reason and she did not tell/call me. So I went to the vet for my app. they sat me down to see what happened. After 20 minutes the lady tells me it was canceled with no explanation and tells me to wait with no approximate time of how long and then walks away without explaining anything to me. My cat has asthma and I wanted her to be seen as soon as possible. I will cancel my pets payment plan. Never again will we go here. This place is unprofessional, poor communication, and zero reliability.

Friendly staff, I went for my dog vaccines updates and one of the staff members asked me if I wanted leptospirosis shots given to my dog and I said I was going to decide some other time. She ended up telling the vet I wanted the shot and I just found out when I went to pay. Not a deal breaker but also not expected. Also the check out took awhile.

The doctors at this office inflicted absolute cruelty on us by delaying our dog's euthanasia while they tried to persuade us to pay them to do an autopsy. They used extremely hurtful high pressure sales tactics in their efforts to extract another huge payment from our wallets while we were mourning the impending loss of our beloved family member. If they are this cruel to humans, I shudder to consider the way they might treat animals.

If zero stars was an option thats what I would give.. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience, called and they said we could drop off dog around 11. We brought in dog for emergency check, had not eaten in 3 days, lethargic and acting unusual. They did his vitals and said he was very dehydrated and lost almost 30 lbs. They said they would call as soon as they could. 4 hours later we called them and they said the vet had STILL not seen him yet but they would call soon. 2 more hours later they said vet had still not seen him but he was "resting" Knowing something was really wrong, we were furious he had not even been seen yet, my husband went right over and picked him up. Brought him to West hills animal hospital where he was immediately given an IV and emergency tests were performed. Had we waited ANY longer he likely would have died. No apology, nothing from the vet or staff there. *dog is doing much better after several days in hospital and a chronic diagnosis* We will never go back to this location or any banfield location ever again, and I caution anyone going to this place.

Waited a month and a half appointment for it to be canceled (for an acceptable reason by the hospital) and attempted to be rescheduled over a month out. Consistent wait times at the hospital, poor quality service from the front desk. Banfield corporate/client advocate team is no better and will have you waiting on hold (as well as for cancellations) for well over 30 minutes.

My pups have been coming here since birth (5 years now). Staff is excellent. They are extremely helpful and kind. Dr. Nikholas P. is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this Banfield Hospital!
