I came here in a crisis with my puppy a few months ago. I was charged up the a** for so many BS charges that I could NOT afford, I HYSTERICALLY sobbed for 20 minutes in the vet's face because I could not afford to help my puppy. She did not …

horrible experience!!! this place charges so much money and the service is horrible! There was even a nurse slamming doors and cursing while I was there. Unprofessional and uncaring.

I had to bring my dog here for a sonogram. The nurses here are just the best. My dog is my best buddy he was sick they did everything they could to comfort me while caring for my dog they played with him and try to make him feel comfortable while they performed their tests. The doctor gave me a thorough explanation of the results And how I can help my dog Get well. The important thing here is The doctor took plenty of time to speak with me and answer all of my questions. She took more time the next day when I called back with more questions. Overall I have no complaints about this facility They put in a great effort to give you your money's worth

Disclaiming the fact that personally, dr Schabbing is the only good doctor working here. That’s it. Candelario is an incompetent individual that lacked any sense of awareness with both diagnosis and discussing/ confronting over the phone about poor treatment at all. Our cat was brought in for almost a week, wasting away and losing weight immensely, while we were told fluid therapy and medications would bring renal levels back to normal. After 5 days, dr Schabbing took the case and diagnosed our cat with kidney disease in the late stages. Not only did the receptionists being rude and condescending add insult to injury, but candelario tried to trick us into spending as much money as possible. Even worse, after the final call “firing our veterinarian” she was reluctant to send the lab work which stated better kidney values from care elsewhere based on the numbers. She tried to tell us his numbers worsened and that our cat had to be brought back in… to do what, starve him again and traumatise him until he physically “gave up”? Take your business elsewhere if you care about your pets and not getting scammed out of $4000 extra

Place is a cash cow. Only looking to make money. Spent 1200 dollars called them because I had questions they said bring her in but we charge. Just left 4hrs ago after spending $$ and they want more

Dr. Couldn't even come in the room to talk to me or examine my pet, called me from the next room. I gave them a stool sample from my pup and they must have sent the wrong one in because my vet had same sample and had a positive result there's was negative . Absolutely the worst . Will never go there again.

Our dog Grady had eaten quite a bit of a Christmas tree skirt. His Vet said to go to Atlantic Coast Farmingdale. I called them and they said to get him in immediately. As soon as we arrived the vet technician took him so they could induce vomiting. Within 30 minutes Dr. Perrone met with me to say he was going to be fine. X-rays were taken to be sure everything was out. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the technicians’s name but she was courteous, caring and knowledgeable. The office staff was respectful, encouraging and extremely caring. Dr. Perrone was GREAT!! She was compassionate, thorough and Grady was very lucky to have her take care of him.

My husband took our dog Nicki, 1 1/2 years old, in because she was vomiting and seemed to have something caught in her throat. We had taken her to our vet earlier in the day but they were unable to diagnosis and wanted a lot of money to just do basic testing. We took her home to monitor her and as the day went on, it was getting worse. We had a great experience with Atlantic Coast and Dr. Naseem. Turns out my dog had Kennel Cough. It was a simple diagnosis that my vet really should have caught but didn’t. As a result, we ended up spending time and money for a simple diagnosis. Atlantic Coast and their staff were supportive, professional and explained what needed to be done to diagnosis and get Nicki better. They were packed so the wait was long, which is understandable and they communicated that with us all the way through. Thank you Atlantic Coast Vet for helping our dog!

Nasty receptionist, my pup was bleeding from his paw and they all acted like it was nothing, and just kept me waiting in my car....I ran to West Hills, they were awesome and very caring.

This place was terrible!!! I brought my pet twice and waited over 5 hours to be seen on two separate occasions! My pet came home worse and had to be taken to another care facility who has been outstanding. I spent over 2500 to receive Insensitive non-nurturing staff. It was disgusting to both pet owners and pet. I will never ever take my pet here again. I recommend if you care for your pet bring them elsewhere. I also was Overcharged and still waiting for the credit reimbursement. When I called the office to inquire about details they were annoyed and said we will have to have an office manager call you back. Caution going here!

If I could give this establishment zero stars I would! These people have zero compassion and are extremely rude and unprofessional. My sister and brother in law brought their cat in after finding him on the floor of there home dying to be humanely euthanized, her and her husband were treated extremely poorly during an extremely difficult time for them. The receptionist had a very bad attitude and was very rude to them. They were told that the cat would be brought back into an examination room to be put on an IV, but they wouldn’t be able to stay with him when that is not what they wanted and they explained that. They were told “if you don’t want to give the cat to us then we don’t want him “. There was no need to do all that when clearly the cat was dying. They came in as their cat was struggling for life and there was no need at all for an exam or fluids when clearly he was dying. I am appalled by the way my sister and her husband were treated. I called to speak to someone about their experience and ask why they were treated so poorly and I was so taken back by the way the receptionist spoke to me. I asked to speak with someone else who was in charge and a vet tech got on the phone and was just as rude as the receptionist, she denied they were treated that way and hung up the phone on me. After my sister left they rushed the cat over to the VMCLI, but sadly he died in the car on the way over there. This all could have been avoided! These people are horrible human beings, they could have euthanized my sisters cat and put him at peace like any veterinarian with true compassion would have. Absolutely disgusting!!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars, because they really deserve it. From the front desk and the vet techs to all of the veterinarians, everyone is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, helpful and kind. They dropped everything and literally saved my dog’s life. They took great care of him and kept me updated for 24 hours, plus followed up on him afterwards. Truly emergent cases are handled ASAP by this facility (I’ve been here on multiple occasions and have seen it firsthand).

Had an emergency visit with my cat this week and ran to this vet at 4 am. Hailey was a care taker of my pet and rushed out to my car to assist us in bringing him into the animal hospital. She was kind, caring and everything you would hope a pet professional would be, especially in a crisis situation. They were amazing here thank you for all your support and helping our pet get the attention he needed!

The women they have running the front desk are just nasty and unprofessional. The vet assistants are incompetent and useless (one straight up lied to my face) and the vet never showed his/her face or even spoke over the phone. It was always the assistants or the rude receptionists that i had to speak to. This place is a joke and you risk your pets well-being by bringing them to these nasty people. They have no idea how to run a business or how to take care of patients

Very disappointed. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to voice my experience in hopes to help another pet parent. I made this appointment with the dermatology vet after getting a referral from my primary vet. At no point during the phone call when I was making the appointment was I told that the appointment cost, without any treatment. My regular copay for specialist doctors for myself is 50$, was not expecting the price they charge! I don't trust or respect when people aren't open or honest, especially when it comes to something this important. When they called to collect payment I told them I was not aware of the cost of this appointment, and in response I was told that they should have mentioned it while booking. Well now I got the wrong end of the stick because of a "mistake". Though everything else in respect to this appointment was easy, I could not move forward with any treatment with a place I don't feel comfortable with. Please be aware and ask questions.

Idk where to even start, some of the staff is just lovely ! Great hearted people! But as for the Dr's I'm not sure they even know what they are doing! Incompetence at it's finest from one Dr xxxmoon! Quoted "I'm only here to make them money" as he misdiagnosed my dog and sent her home with meds that would have a serious reaction leaving us no choice no more then 2 days latter to put our sweet baby down. She went in breathing fine and came out struggling! 1000's of dollars latter and this location had zero clue as to what even happened to my animal! Useless place! If you wanna see you'r baby again please please I beg you!! Go somewhere else cause they can't help you or you'r animal!!

I called ahead (like their website said). I was rudely spoken to by the front desk clerk. She was condescending and after I told her my situation she said nothing for 5 seconds and then stated “uh well we are an emergency vet so you can just come and park and call us when you’re outside”. Like I said, their website says to call if we can. Please treat future clients with respect. I took my puppy to VEG in commack and their facilities are cleaner, staff is amazing and they break down everything to you. Also when I called them I was greeted appropriately especially since I was so upset and on the verge of tears because of my animal. Next time, be kind telephone answering lady. Since I know the business will be reading this review. This occurred on 8/26 at approx. 943 am. I believe there are two girls working. Because I called again and mentioned that the person I spoke to was disgustingly rude and that I would not be doing business with you guys.

Appointment times don't seem to matter. Whole staff sitting on their phones, rude receptionist. Animals are not just animals, they are family members and when you go into a place and are not greeted properly, and are met in a dismissive tone that does NOT leave a good taste in anyone's mouth. Save your time and money, find a better place to bring your furry family members.

I was left sitting in the hot car for 40 minutes with my pet after calling prior to arriving asking if they would be able to see her quickly. I was then given attitude on the phone when I called again asking if I could come inside. No proactive communication from the clinic. I do not recommend this clinic. Not only have I wasted time I could have spent going to another clinic I also had to idle my car this entire time to keep my pet cool.

Dr. Fasano and the staff went above and beyond to make my kitty and I feel comfortable. He explained the possible scenarios and the options available. They prescribed my kitty medication and referred us to a Neurologist in the Bohemia office who agreed the most probable explaination is stroke. My kitty is doing well post-stroke due to the staff here. Thank you!

My dog Cindy has been a patient with Internal Medicine and for Emergency Services since 2018. Our family vet Dr. Louis Reda sent us their way when she became suddenly sick with an autoimmune illness which was causing her to bleed out. At first, we were a little off put by the bedside manner of our specialty doctor in comparison to Dr. Reda whose style and bedside manner is totally different. However, her vet specialist, Dr. Schabbing is a very honest vet who will give you all the possible outcomes even though I didn't want to hear that my pet could die in the situation. In her week stay at the hospital receiving care, the doctor got to know our dog and fought for her as hard as she was fighting for her life. They let us visit as often as we wanted to. Every treatment option was offered to us and she continued to see the doctor every 3-6 months to make sure her labs were in check with the medicine. Later in her life, her immune illness is in check thanks to the care of ACNYVSF, he's still taking excellent care of her and they are always conscious of how much we spend on her care there. They have recently had new findings of her health and even when the prognosis didn't look the best, Dr. Schabbing is definitely going to bat for us so our dog could be part of our wedding in 2022 and that he would do everything in his power so a very important part of our family could be with us as long as possible. The staff there has extended my dog's life and they are definitely part of her fan club, giving her the best treatment every time she comes in. They answer our questions with great patience and respect for our girl. I feel like not every vet has the most respect for a dog's quality of life the way the team there has to our dog. Our family is beyond grateful for ACSNYVSF and in the future will turn to them with her specialty needs and any of our future pets' emergencies.

I was given a quote of over $1,000 So I asked them to take one thing off bringing the bill down to $700. They did tests for my dogs derm issues then called a couple of days later with the diagnosis but never told me she was allergic to anything. 3 months later the issue returned so I called and then I was told she was allergic to certain foods. It was not an emergency visit yet after it was all said and done they advised me to see my vet and still charged me over $1,000. They added another thing to the bill but neglected to inform me. They also charged me almost $70 for dog shampoo which is $20 online.

I called very early in the morning explaining my situation and the young lady who answered the phone could not have been nicer and suggested i come right down. Walked in, she remembered i called, took my dog right away and was super pleased with the treatment. Place is very clean, very nice highly recommend ! They treat here with care not about the money.

Rude.....unprofessional.....bad attitude on “overnight” front staff. They still operate under strict Covid protocols when its July 2021 and the whole country is pretty much back to normal! So their system is to take your traumatized sick pet away from you at the door, close the door in your face, and then expect you to wait in the parking lot for hours until someone calls you with ANY news. Well after waiting hours “I” called inside again to get status and the Dr told me my dog was ready to go home and he was just prescribing meds. A few moments later their “receptionist” or whatever you want to call her came outside to give another patients pet back. I politely asked her much longer since the vet said he was done and instead of saying “let me check sir” i got a lecture about how busy they were and she proceeded to slam the door in my face and walk away! I’ve had pleasant experiences with Dr Loudon and Mike but this midnight tour receptionist needs to be fired. If you don't like dealing with emotional pet owners, especially since you separate them at the door, per outdated RIDICULOUS Covid precautions, then get another job! Or learn to communicate, say yes sir...yes mam, let me ck sir...let me ck mam.....and not be lectured about how busy you are. Will not be going back after dealing with this rude employee. And all this occurred BEFORE some poor pet inside went into cardiac arrest and died. That was the excuse pawned on me when i left! This employee was rude, curt, inconsiderate, and uncooperative BEFORE this poor animal died! If you dont like dealing with the public, especially in emotional situations, then get another job! **REVIEW UPDATE - POST RESPONSE** You wouldn't have numerous negative 1 star reviews if you stopped listening to only your rude employees (one i know of in this instance) for only their side of the story, as your response to me indicates! I only dealt with “one” employee, so your other “employees” didn’t hear the attitude in the parking lot that she gave me, which my witnesses did! I have “several” witnesses who came with me for that visit. They can corroborate my story verbatim! Your Dr politely told me on the phone that he was done with my dog. It is was then afterwards outside that your employee refused to give me ANY IDEA how long it would be. Instead she said SHE had no idea and slammed the door in my face. All she had to say was “LET ME CHECK MR CORTOPASSI AND I WILL GIVE YOU A RING”, NOT “I HAVE NO IDEA” AND STORM OFF! Having her storm off without answering me I proceeded to ring the bell numerous times until a different employee came frantically to the door and said i’m in the middle of doing cpr and closed the door. It could have been my dog or the other person in the parking lot’s dog and now they left neither of us no idea whose dog it was. Then they spitefully refused to answer the phone after i called several times while i watched them through the window calmly working on computers, while they did take another patient’s call who was in the parking lot, who was also concerned as i was, that it was his pet that was having CPR. So its amazing that a business owner thinks its acceptable that an employee spitefully not answer the bell or answer the phone. It was only after i called your Bohemia location and threatened, and then followed up with calling the police, did someone call me back. Lastly it’s also highly indicative of your office’s professionalism that you would PUBLICLY disclose my pet’s injury in response to my review, with my pets injury being irrelevant to my experience with your office that evening. An unethical attempt to to discredit me and my experience. I have a screenshot of your review “response” in which you publicly “disclose” my pet’s injury. I will forward this to my attorney along with my witness contact information. I will also contact the NYS licensing board and all other relevant veterinary licensing organizations in reference to your PUBLIC disclosure of my pet’s medical history. Your PUBLIC disclosure of confidential medical information speaks volumes!

they misdiagnosed my cat, causing him to suffer a lot. We went to another vet and he got a procedure done immediately, will never be back. Also very expensive. The tech that took care of us was very nice.
