We loved it here. Sometimes it would take a while to get in to see the Dr. But that was because they would always take as much time as needed with you.

We were visiting family in the area for Christmas when our sweet boy's health began to very suddenly and rapidly decline. Dr. Ortez and her team went above and beyond to try to figure out what was happening. We were not able to save him, unfortunately, but without their support, this painful time would have been so much harder. Not only was care with them far more affordable than we have ever found at home, but they got us in quickly and Dr. Ortez really took her time with us, making sure we were as informed as possible all along the way. We will be eternally grateful for her support, and that of the rest of the staff at this wonderful veterinary practice!

I have to tell you Fairport Animal Hospital is the best! My best friend recommended them to me when I adopted Panda, as she brings all of her pets here for years and loves them as well. I have to say I agree. Unfortunately during the holiday season Panda had fallen in and we ended up making 2 trips to Fairport Animal Hospital. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly from answering the phones, to the services provided and the curbside delivery of your pet and paperwork. During our most recent visit- I have to give a special shout out to Dr Ortez. Panda unfortunately fell ill right before NYE and I was lucky enough to be able to get him an early appointment on the holiday when they had limited hours. We talked about his prior visit earlier in December, what had been happening since, and my concerns. She was wonderful in communicating the steps she would take that day and what the results would mean for Panda. As I was getting ready to take him home that day, we had gotten early results back from blood work that were not so good. Dr. Ortez had recommend keeping him the weekend at the hospital for observation and fluids, and she would follow up with me with his progress. She followed up with my EVERY evening this past weekend and so far everyday since! She is amazing and I have never felt more comfortable with a Veterinarian! She has been wonderful with communicating and has been amazing with getting us as much information and helping us get him referred to a specialist as we continue to learn more about his condition and how to navigate this as a team. Panda and I are so lucky to have you Dr. Ortez! Also - the staff is truly amazing! Dawn, JoAnn, Mackenzie and Amber , you have all been so wonderful to talk to on the phone and work with during such a stressful time! If you are questioning about bringing your animals here, please don’t hesitate. They are the best!

Dr. Hall (who I see from the website is the owner of this practice) killed my friends rabbit. If he would’ve shown up and/or answered the phone when staff was calling to follow up post-spay, the rabbit would’ve had a chance. This is a routine surgery that shouldn’t have killed!! Bring your pets somewhere that actually cares for the well-being of your pets. All this place cares about is the money!!

Some one brought my outdoor cat into FAH thinking it was a stray. When they found out that it was microchipped, an employee named Jena sent it back with the person who it came in with, who also happened to be a friend and former employee. The former employee claimed he spent a bunch of money on vet bills (which we checked, he didn't) & tried to get us to pay him $200 before we got our cat back. We had to involve Fairport Police & RPD. Thankfully for their help, this was resolved. Fairport Animal Hospital should NEVER let ANY animal go back into the care of anyone but animal control or the animal's rightful owner. Immensely disappointed in their lack of professionalism. Before law enforcement got involved, we tried to go speak with them in person regarding the matter. They (specifically Jena) told us that "we had already called too many times and taken up too much of their time" & refused to let us in. What kind of customer care is that? For the sake of the animals in the village of Fairport & all of FAH's customers, I really hope this was an isolated incident. What a total nightmare.

I second grants opinion! He had his cat taken by someone who was trying to scam them, a common scam that even a blind dog could see through but apparently the people that work at the FAH either didn’t care or didn’t have the time, too busy letting people take other peoples pets without checking for a microchip or calling animal control. Unless you want garbage service or to lose your pet to a stranger don’t go here. This guy thinks he’s an altruist for taking someone’s cat but lied and said he needed $200 for vet bills that weren’t a part of the equation at all. Uber lame of FAH for handling this the way they did.

Recently I was made aware of a mistreatment of pet owners by way of collusion between workers. An individuals outdoor cat was collected by a former employee. A worker, and said former employee conspired to extort money from a pet owner for possession of the pet in question. the lack of professionalism these actions represent is something I would never ever want for my pets.

Don’t bring your exotic pets here unless you want terrible and unclear answers from the vet. If I could give it a zero star I would. The exotic vet does not give any information and honesty not very professional. Don’t bring you’re exotic pets here. The meds she gave mine did not work I was told to call back and i’m not going to. Going to a new vet.

100% recommend this veterinary office. They are attentive and truly cared about Willow as their own. Dr. Zarouba & Dr. Hall are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Unlike most places they didn’t take unnecessary measures they only treated what was absolutely required. After apologizing for making so many phone calls to their office they insisted “...that’s what we are here for”. Amazing experience!

I dropped off an injured wild bird and they were very prompt. Great to know that we have wildlife help in this area. Rehabbers can be hard to get a hold of.

After my dogs original vet for 9 years couldn’t fit him in for a leg injury, Fairport Animal Hospital squeezed him in after hours. With curbside service and after his evaluation, Dr. Ortiz came outside and explained what happened to our dog and what treatment she recommend. Level of service from Dr. Ortiz and her staff was outstanding. I believe we found our new vet for our pets. Thank you Fairport Animal Hospital!

We’ve been going to Fairport Animal Hospital for twenty years with our two cats (Frida and Mojo) and dog (Schnoodles) and have been so pleased with their professional and supportive service for our beloved pets. Thank you Dr. Zarouba and all the staff for helping us care for our smallest family members!

Beware they are not checking the dogs teeth during annual exam I have been bringing my dog here for years and recently she had her annual exam. Dr Zarouba marked the dog in good health ... were 4 months past that and my dog needs $1,100 in dental work due to disease. Dental checks are not performed at this vet I am crushed to think my dog was in pain because this wasn’t addressed Also I found Dr zarouba rude, efficiency is one thing but this was more of a quick as I can attitude. Additionally you’re a vet, if I ask questions it’s because I care, but the vet acted bothered. Don’t go here

I have an exotic pet (chinchilla) and he likes to hide VERY WELL. I had come to my appointment for him, and I’m looking at his harness and the shoe box I put him in temporarily for the drive and he was missing. I’m freaking out so I called inside and told them I was going to be late (in the middle of my sobbing). One of the vets Jena took the time out of her day to tear apart my car looking for him. My car is a PIGSTYE so it meant a lot. She referred me to go to the guys at Baris auto next door to actually take apart my car. An hour later we found him. Considering he’s an exotic pet it took awhile to get him into the vet, and the best part was THEY STILL KEPT MY APPOINTMENT. I mean wow, this is customer service to the extreme. We have been taking my dogs here for years and I finally got a pet with my own money and care and can safely say they are the best in all of Rochester. (Sorry about my grammar, I know it sucks)

My dog is sick and I am a senior citizen on social security. I will not have money until the beginning of the month. Fairport Animal Hospital only cared that I could not pay now and they will not bill me nor will they see my sick emotional support dog Snuggles without immediate payment. They care more about money than animals.

Took in my umbrella cockatoo for an evaluation and have her nails done. The staff was very friendly and doctor was extremely knowledgeable regarding my concerns. Since then have also taken my dog in and have had the same wonderful experience. All my pets will continue to go to this clinic in the future. I highly recommend this hospital.
