Sue does an amazing job grooming my dog every time! She is friendly, caring and professional! She knows exactly how we want him groomed. He always looks adorable!

My dog went today and has been a patient for about a year...i was always pleased with his care but after today i just had to share that not only are the vets capable and qualified but the staff is so kind and loving to my furry family and human one...Dr.Cosentinol especially is someone that i would trust with my animals care and has the biggest heart! They are the best ❤

I followed Dr. Mia Cosentino here from her previous place of employment. If you are looking for a caring, professional, loving, gentle vet; who literally takes her time to explain everything in detail so you know exactly what's wrong with your best friend, LOOK NO FURTHER! She saved my sweet Leroy and gave me more time with my soul mate, she cared and loved him as if he was her own - and we came up with treatment plans to keep my sweet boy healthy and happy. Unfortunately, he passed a few weeks back but I am so grateful for the year's time, after his diagnosis, that she gave to me. I cannot express how thankful I am to have found her and I will keep coming back to her (wherever she goes) for all of my future furbabies <3 <3 <3 Thank you, Dr. Cosentino. You are forever my FAVORITE vet and I will forever be in your debt. Thank you for loving Leroy like I do.

I have to be honest it was the saddest of all days when myself and my wife woke to find our beloved dog Shadow lying on the floor . We found any 24 hour vet we could immediately rush him to, When I knocked on the door and a nurse answered as I was standing there obviously with no pet, bleary eyed, hyper anxious and a rush of emotions came and I began to breakdown and all I could get out while unsuccessfully trying to fight back the tears was “ my dog is dying I need you to save him “ At 7 o’clock in the morning on a random Tuesday a team of 6 of the most compassionate, professional caring people rushed out the door and and into the back of our SUV. They worked on him with dignity and treated us as life long friends. The Vet a compassionate gentleman came to us , explained what was going on every step of the way. Our family member of 13 years passed, they were so kind. To the point that I was so distraught I couldn’t wait for or manipulate payment, having never met me, they asked me just to call later. These are professionals of the highest caliber The best I have ever seen!!!

Beware! Traditional Vet who over vaccinates.

There is no question that this is the best Vet on Long Island. I had previously used 2 Vets before switching to West Hills East and Dr. Steinberg. They have an incredible and responsive staff, they jump through hoops for their dogs families, but most importantly they care about their animals!!! My dog has been well taken care of for years, and I trust Dr. Steinberg and his staff implicitly. I highly recommend West Hills East. I would not even consider ever using another Vet.

Excellent vet, I was having some behavior issues with my dog and Dr Steinberg took the time to answer all my questions and thoroughly discuss the situation and solutions. Wonderful, caring vet practice!

Theo, our 1 year 4 mth old cavachon has been a patient of Dr. Matthew Steinberg since August 2019 when he became a member of our family. After our initial visit, we knew right away that Theo was in great hands. Dr. Steinberg came across as very knowledgeable and engaging and most important, passionate about animals. As a family, this is important to us because we view the treatment and care of animals no different than the manner in which we care and treat our own children. We hope you find this post helpful .

We went here for our first vet appointment as they work with bow wow babies where we got our puppy. The doctor seemed wonderful at first. The following day, we found out she had hookworm and needed to be monitored for weight loss and given a second dose of medication. We scheduled an appointment for two weeks out. The night before the appointment, they called to reschedule as "the doctor would unfortunately not be in at that time". We rescheduled for 6 days later, only to be called the night before again as the "doctor would unfortunately not be in at that time". We rescheduled for the following day, to be called a third time with the same exact excuse. Nobody seemed concerned about her well being other than myself. They then made excuses as to why he was not in that day, not realizing the appointment they were rescheduling was for the following day. None of it added up, but I can tell you for certain we will not be returning to entrust them with the care of our dog.

Dr. Steinberg and the staff at West Hills East Veterinary Clinic in Commack are the best!!! I have been bringing my dog, Whitney there since she was a puppy. Couldn't have found a better vet out here on Long Island. I highly recommend them!!!

I accompany my girlfriend here when ever it is time to bring our dogs to the vet for a check up or if there is an emergency. I will say my GF is very particular on who looks after our dogs, which is why we continue to see Dr. Steinberg, he listens to all our questions and there is usually many each visit. He is patient, understanding, and a very compassionate care giver for our dogs.

The staff here is so amazing and caring. Dr Steinberg explained everything to us about our new puppy and made us feel comfortable. Highly recommend them!

I was in a time crunch and decided to book an appointment here instead of my normal vet. They tried to corner me into giving them more money. They told me right before they gave my dog a rabies vaccine I would be paying for way more than Ive asked for. They told me what they were trying to do was the "law" but proceeded to tell me to go to our local petco for rabies vaccine on Saturday without the other stuff they told me was the "law", which contradicted what I was just told by the vet. Needless to say they wasted a bottle of rabies vaccine because I walked out. I later called my normal vet (North Shore Aninal League) to see if what they were saying was really the "law" and confirmed what they did was not correct.
