Wonderful people to work with. Terrific value for adopting a pet. We found our dogs and a cat with them. Very happy furry family.

My son and I went one Saturday to look at the available dogs for adoption. We saw, and fell in love with one particular dog, took him for a walk, and even did another meet and greet. I have adopted from PHS in the past actually a cat a few years ago. The application process is ridiculous, and my application was denied with no explanation and I see a few days later a family took the dog my family wanted. I have since adopted a rescue from Puerto Rico so that is a blessing. People with loving homes are being denied . I believe it was because my cat who is spayed, is not up to date on her vaccines. She is a strictly indoor car , happy and healthy and HATES car rides and the vet. All my babies are happy and healthy!

Best place ever! I loving coming here! They constantly have new animals coming in & they try their absolute best to get every dog adopted! I 1000% love this place!!!!!

Putnam Humane shelter is a wonderful home to the cats and dogs until they find their forever home. Great staff and genuinely caring place.

Always very helpful! Without their help, I couldn't feed the feral young Cat I rescued. I think we rescued each other!! She's my best little friend!! Thank you PHS ❤????

They never even contacted any of my references... I get it that they are understaffed but if you want to adopt from them, you need to stay on their case. If you simply go and fill out the forms, they'll assume you're not serious and are just wasting their time by bothering to follow up.

Amazing group of individuals! Their love and dedication to the cats and dogs goes above and beyond! The shelter is immaculate and every animal is loved and well cared for!

When I ask a question about something which is saving animals doesn't matter where is a question should be answered enchant a phone number no not very hard but it seems to be very hard

Great dogs and cats in need of a forever home. If you want to find that special friend who will greet you with love and affection everytime you come home then dont wait come down today. The staff have a real genuine passion and love for every special guest in their care. It's a great place to visit if you just want to put a smile on your face and offer some back and ear scratches to brighten a pets day. If you can bless them with a donation or some non clumping litter, every bit helps. See you there????
