My cat was showing signs of lethargy and not eating - symptoms that are vague and could be anything, but the ENTIRE team at VEG showed me and my cat compassion. Dr. Price was incredibly patient with me, worked with my finances (and didn't shame me about money as so many vets will do), and worked really hard to figure out the cause. It wasn't good news, but VEG made sure that my cat was cared for and loved on an extremely difficult day. The team was also very nice when I called a couple days later with follow up questions. By far, the best veterinary experience I've ever had.

I can’t speak highly enough of the doctors and nurses at VEG. From their first interaction with my cat, it’s clear they care an insane amount for the well being of animals. They are thorough and empathetic and take their time. I felt like my pet was in the best possible hands. They even called and texted to check up on him in the days following our visit. I always feel like I can call to ask them questions and I trust them wholeheartedly. They’re the best group and I’m so happy to have found them!

There are not enough words in the dictionary to express the gratitude that I have for Dr. Mark Fealey. Not only he is an outstanding surgeon but the empathy that he had for my puppy and my family during our ordeal and the way he walked us through step by step made this excruciating nightmare much less stressful. My Doberman (4 month old) puppy had a intussusception over close to his ICJ and after removal he needed to received stitched in his small intestines and colon; no one wanted to do his surgery but With Dr. Fealey’s hands he has healed my puppy and preformed an heavenly surgery. God is great and Dr. Fealey is his messenger. I’d like to also give a shout out to his right hand staff Ms. Amanada R. for taking the extra step in treating my puppy during surgery and after. Being by his bed side till he woke up. Thank you guys. You’re something special. I highly recommend them!

I was very pleased with the care Dr. Feeley, the veterinarian nurses, and office staff provided to my dog. Unfortunately, she is not an east patient, XL and very reactive, so bringing her to a veterinary hospital for an emergency is such an anxious experience for us both. Despite being extremely busy, the doctor spent a great deal of time explaining the medical issues and walking me through options. The nurses were knowledgeable and caring, and the front desk was so helpful in accommodating us especially given my dogs behavioral challenges. Glad this is the hospital we visited when having a sudden emergency.

Such nice people, took me immediately & gave me advice over the phone. They let me stay with my cat during the whole exam and treated him kindly and calmly the whole time and kept us both calm. Would definitely recommend them.

Front desk staff was very welcoming but I waited over a hour to get to the back office where the Dr was only to watch him have a 30 minute conversation with a coworker and then take a call that he was on for at least 20 min while he was scrolling photos on his phone so no sense of urgency to get to me and assist my pet. I guess you have to be bleeding from the head to get attention at this emergency vet. Don’t waste your time your pet could die in the process!

As I sit waiting for my dog, I feel confident that he is in caring hands. Dr. Jacobson is kind, professional and performs her job with obvious passion and devotion. She is patient with questions, and thorough with explanations. The office supporting staff, from Darnell at reception to all the many other techs in the back office whose names I don't know, have been extremely attentive, respectful, and sincere. Although I am not happy to be here because my pup is hurting, I am very happy that I found this office, and I would definitely recommend it for those in need.

While no one should ever have to visit here - if you do have an emergency this is the place to go. The staff is extremely attentive to you as a person, your pet as the patient and just the situation as a whole. I’ve seen doctor Kim before and he’s wonderful. Yesterday dr Dana Perry took his time with me and my Kobe and made us feel comfortable through what was a very shocking and upsetting situation. He is very knowledgeable and knew what was wrong in an instant but ran the necessary tests to rule out anything else. The techs are all wonderful (I remember Vadim’s name - he’s great!!) and came up to me to ask me what happened even if they weren’t directly working with me. Front desk is also so caring, and Darnell kept checking up on me and asking if I needed water or a snack. Thank you VEG for nursing my Kobe back to health ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

VEG and their staff are absolutely incredible! I got a new puppy who became lethargic and I was unable to get his blood sugar up a second time at home so I rushed him in at about 3:00 in the morning. They took him back immediately and began working on him. I was able to stay with him the entire time, they let me know everything they were doing and what was going on. Turns out he had an infection in his GI track so they immediately gave him antibiotics, dextrose to raise his sugar, as well as pain and nausea meds to keep him comfortable. They were so kind to both me and my little dachshund Clide. They took such good care of him, kept me updated and answered my million annoying questions. They even sent me pictures of him! This is by far the best animal hospital I have ever been too. You can call whenever you want for updates and you can also come visit whenever and stay with your fur baby. I don’t know any other animal hospital that allows this. Thank you so much to everyone at VEG and everything you did to save my little guys life!!! We are eternally grateful for you all! Love, Lisa and Clyde!

I was amazed at how pleasant the staff was. I unfortunately had to come in today to send my 14 year old Yorkie over the Rainbow Bridge and I’ve never witnessed a nicer, more empathetic staff. A special thanks to them for making me feel so comfortable and my little baby cared for. Bless you all. Update 11/27/21 Just went back to VEG for my other Yorkshire Terrier. They went above and beyond to be courteous, informative and kind. They really are the best Animal Hospital I’ve visited. Vadim was an excellent help, he took his time to explain everything thoroughly and was extremely knowledgeable. Every doctor we have had the pleasure of meeting was just excellent on all levels. The entire staff was helpful once again! Thank you to everyone working there! Just seeing how they interact with your animals is a joy!

I am giving this place one star, not because of the staff- they were absolutely wonderful, but because of management and their protocols. My mother had to make the extremely difficult decision to let our dog pass over the rainbow bridge. To our dismay, we found out that his ashes would be delivered via UPS to our home. When voicing our distress about packages being stolen and being terrified that our poor dog would spend his last trip in a UPS truck and possibly be stolen, we were left with little comfort. Packages are often stolen around the neighborhood- ESPECIALLY at this time of year.We were told that it would have to be brought up with management because this was protocol. This animal was a huge part of our family. We loved him beyond words. We truly cannot thank the Staff enough for being so kind and compassionate during this horrible and surreal time. It is just beyond disheartening that a company would think it’s ok to SHIP my dogs remains to me. The STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, but shame on the management company and higher ups. Absolutely no compassion for families during such a difficult time.

I hope no one reading this needs to bring their pet to an emergency vet but if you do this is a great place to go. The staff is attentive and kind. They actually love animals, a vet tech stopped by to simply give my dog some pets as we were waiting. There was a long wait but that is understandable when they have a handful of dogs and cats in at once. The doctor checked out my dog and explained everything he was doing and testing for. He then explained what was going on and how we would treat it.

Went there last night after my dog had possibly eaten chocolate powder. My partner and I were running around and calling around, this place was pretty far from where we are located but this was the fastest. We didn’t look up the reviews before going but honestly they were really great and took care of my baby. Dr. Katie Curcija was amazing and she really really cares, and I would really honestly go there again even though it’s far, because I know my baby will be thoroughly taken care of. They took us in right away and we asked a lot of questions but the doctor was very patient and understood how worried we are and so she kept reassuring us. Also, one of the girls that was helping us, she was wearing pink and some headdress, she helped us a lot so I hope she and the doctor gets the recognition they both really deserve ❤️

We were worried about our cat and wouldn't be able to get in to see our usual vet for a couple days. Other 24/7 vet clinics were either her at capacity or told us we'd be waiting at least 4 hours. I called veg and they said they'd see her within a half hour. We registered her on the car ride there. She was taken into a room immediately, and everything happened pretty quickly. Thankfully they said she was fine and to look out for worsening symptoms. We were there for maybe 20 or 30 minutes total. It was amazing. I also saw vets sitting on the floor checking on a few dogs. They seem to really care and I'm glad to know where to go if we have an emergency.

I was pleasantly surprised, being from the veterinary community, that you were allow to go to the treatment area with your pet. I thought it was a great way of keeping pet and owner calmer during whatever the emergency was. For my experience the staff was fantastic and attentive. They not only did what they had to do as far as diagnostics but made my dog zero feel so loved. Extra shout put to Dr. Madill who was knowledgeable and caring with a great bedside manner. She texted me the next day to see how zero was and kept in ouch with me each day answering all my questions. Keep doing what your doing VEG....and thank you!!!!!

Came with our cat for an emergency visit and was pleasantly surprised at the superb customer service and quality of care not just for our loving pet but also towards us. We’ve found the only ER site to bring our pets in time of crisis. Thank you…

At 2 AM on a Sunday morning, I found my cat dead on my kitchen floor. No explanation. No apparent cause. With all nearby animal hospitals closed, I found Veterinary Emergency Group in Flatbush, which is open 24/7. There, they quickly confirmed what I already knew: that he was gone. I immediately knew I wanted to have a necropsy (animal autopsy) done to determine the cause of death. To make a long story short, the process of setting this up was rife with unexpected complications and frustrations. It's here I want to deeply and very sincerely thank Dr. Thea Madill. She answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly, and talked me through all of my available options. She really had no obligation to do any of this; my cat was dead, he was not a patient and couldn't be treated. But she did, and I'll forever appreciate it. It's also worth noting that Dr. Madill had many other responsibilities to attend to (all of which she handled with the same aplomb and expertise), but she still made time for me and listened to all of my concerns, even when I could hear myself asking redundant (and possibly annoying) questions. I also want to thank Dr. Ortiz (I didn't get his first name, unfortunately). When it appeared I'd have to wait seven hours before Fed Ex could have my cat shipped away, he arranged to have my cat stored at a VEG sister site in Manhattan, so the body wouldn't decay. He was very prompt and handled it almost immediately after I called. Dr. Madill has continued to follow up with me, to share updates she's received from Cornell (where the necropsy was performed). CONCLUSION: While my cat could not be treated here, I can say with complete confidence that VEG is home to some incredible human beings who are attentive, empathetic, and experts in their field. They'll give your beloved animal companion the absolute best care that they can receive, in an environment that's clean, comfortable, and secure.

Brought my twelve year old dog in after she suffered what seemed to me to be a seizure, The doctor saw her immediately and made a diagnoses that was most encouraging under the circumstances, I brought her home after two hours during which they were testing her constantly. Extraordinary doctors and staff. I hope you never have to use their services. If you do however, be assured you will get the best possible veterinary care available anywhere. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Bill Bartlett
