We've been going here since 2018 and every visit I just find more and more reasons to love everyone and everything about The Vet Set! ♡ very caring, willing to answer all questions ♡ Before choosing The Vet Set I searched a lot of surrounding vets for high quality services for a reasonable affordable price and this one took the cherry on top! ☺️???????? I highly recommend you drop by with your fur babies!

I was appalled at the treatment I received at the Vet Set. They released my dog’s medical records without my consent. I had to call in four times and left two messages before the doctor finally called me back. She was incredibly rude, offered no explanation as to why they would release confidential medical records without my approval and refused to acknowledge they had done anything that would merit any kind of compensation. She hung up on me when I was in the middle of a sentence. She promised she would send me her email so I could contact her directly. That never happened either. Clearly the satisfaction of their customers or the value of their word means very little to them. Do yourself a favor and stay away

Dr. Truitt goes above and beyond for her patients. Her professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for her patients puts both my dog and I at ease. She is kind, thorough and attentive during the examination, and will follow up to make sure everything is well after. I’ve been going to her practice for six years now and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pup. Every bit of instruction and advice she has shared with me has improved my pup’s quality of life. The Vet Set staff is super friendly and always do their best to work with me and my fluctuating schedule. I’m grateful to have found Dr. Truitt and her team.

The doctors, techs, and front desk staff are all awesome.Our regular vet moved out of the city, so we took our chronically ill and tough to diagnose and treat cat to Vet Set who are in our neighborhood. Dr. Truitt was aware of his medical history and recommended a new treatment to better control his chronic sinusitis that was successful. We've since taken our two less problematic cats to her as well as our really effed-up boarder, which she's done an awesome job with. No question would travel to another borough for Dr. Truitt's great care, so am thrilled that her practice is down the street.

The Vet Set is the best. Dr. Truitt, and everyone in the practice, is caring and super thoughtful about the needs of our dog Pavarotti , and the rest of our family. Whenever Pavarotti got intro trouble eating something weird off the street, or had any kind of symptoms, they were excellent at trying to fit us in as soon as possible, and making sure he was well taken care of. Shannon and Briana, vet techs that work the front desk regularly, know Pavarotti super well and and very patient with him (he's kind of a diva type of dog), besides being very comforting about whatever was happening to Pavi at the time. We moved out of state, unfortunately, but we had the pleasure of living in the neighborhood for three years. Pavarotti is still going strong at 14, and we definitively miss everyone at the Vet Set.

I can’t recommend any vet more. Dr. Truitt is honest, fair, and cares so deeply about the wellness of your pet. We have ben coming here to see Dr. Truitt since we moved from VT in July’18. I love bringing my meows here (even though they would rather stay home than get vaccines and check ups ha). She is very knowledgeable and goes straight to the point. This is what’s causing this and so this is what they need for it. Just matter of fact. I also interact with Shannon (sorry if spelt wrong!) a fair amount and she is the first person who always greets you at the door or answers the phone. She is very bubbly and upbeat. She also always remembers my cats and it’s so funny. My previous vet wasn’t in NY so I can’t comment on affordability. I think prices are reasonable for Brooklyn. Dr. Truitt and the staff are definitely worth it for the care they give to my meows. Just a heads up if you are driving, leave early because finding parking can be tough in the neighborhood (and if you have heavy chonkers it can be a lot walking from the spot you find). Unfortunately because of covid you can’t go inside at this time. They are definitely trying to be as thorough as ever while also not keeping you waiting long. Overall I am so thankful for all they do!

We were led to Dr. Truitt by her reviews. Started seeing her and her staff in fall of 2019. Dr. Truitt is an outstanding vet and has a respectable amount of knowledge, she’s a good listener and will discuss any concerns you may have. The staff is friendly and polite. The office and exam rooms are clean and without odor. This is all really important to us. For some of us, trusting someone else with your pet is not easy. Even if you’ve been there before. Happy to say that each time

Really incredible place. The doctor is very knowledgeable and explains things well. I had a concern over a charge and she took the time to speak with me about it, which I truly appreciate. I want to thank her for that.

We have 2 aging cats (15yo). and I'm very happy that Dr. Truitt is taking care of them. She takes ample time to get to the right diagnostic when they have an issue, will go into as many details as required to give us all of our options, and is genuinely very caring with our pets. The rest of the staff is also extremely nice and helpful. Even with COVID, the service is amazing!

Very responsive to all inquiries, Friendly office, never a long wait time, when I have concerns about my pet they will answer my emails promptly and don’t make me come in for simple questions that can be addressed with a picture showing my concerns!

The veterinarian and staff are professional, caring, and attentive to pets’ needs. They helped to answer all the questions we had about our new puppy! Cooper absolutely loves the staff and happily enters the Vet Set for his appointments!

WOW my husband and I cannot believe how lucky we were to have found Dr. Truitt and her staff. We went for our first visit today after a traumatic experience at our usual vet and were beyond impressed. Our cat recently got his annual vaccines at his usual vet and things didn’t go as well as usual. They were pretty rough on him and it ended up in everyone getting bit and him accidentally relieving himself on the exam table. To make things worse, most of our questions were brushed off and we felt like we got rushed out the door. It was time to look for a new vet. After many google/yelp searches, we found the Vet Set. I had already called a few places but wasn’t impressed and really wanted to make sure we got him the best care. I couldn’t believe they had so many five star reviews...it sounded too good to be true! When I called to schedule his appointment, I spoke to a woman on the phone who I believe was named Brianna or Bri. She was incredibly empathetic regarding our cat’s last visit and answered all of my questions without hesitation. She completely sold me on their office and ultimately is the reason we chose to come here first. Dr. Truitt’s bedside manner is impeccable as well!! My husband and I joked as we left that we wish she was practicing in human medicine because we would love to be her patients!! What a friendly doctor, which we aren’t really used to! At his usual doctor, we feel like a burden when we ask questions and sometimes get brushed off. As a pet owner, it’s great to leave with all questions answered. This is the first time we’ve left the vet feeling so great. She was incredibly patient with our scared cat and we didn’t feel like a bother. I asked all the questions I could think of and she answered every single one. We were never rushed, ignored, or dismissed. My husband couldn’t believe how patient Dr. Truitt was, and neither could I. We can’t wait to come back in a year for his next visit.

If possible, they may love your pet more than you do?! What an amazing staff. You can rest assured your pet is in good hands and that they will do what is best for you and your loved ones. Thank you for an amazing experience and keeping our family together. Love from Boogie

We adopted our pup about a year ago and looked into a few different vets, and gave the Vet Set a try. And we are glad we did! Our little pup loves going here (even after 'the' surgery and a bunch of non-fun shots). The ladies who help are amazing, I can always reach a person here by calling, they've provided us the vet's number off-hours when we were worried about our pup at night and Dr. Truitt is in general awesome. We moved away back into Manhattan, unfortunately, but still come back here for our pup's check-ups and shots. It's the best!

The Vet Set was great at getting my puppy in for a last minute appointment when he wasn't feeling well. They were quick to see him and take care of him and they knew exactly what was wrong! After a day of starting his medication, he is back to normal. I couldn't thank the Vet Set enough for treating my dog with such great care! Thank you!

I love Dr T and her team. They are always so kind and helpful. They take such great care and are very straight forward about health plans for your pet. In my case it's my little Nico. Highly recommended! Thanks Vet Set!

This is an excellent practice with great staff and a lovely, informative Vet! Judy is also great, very kind and clearly a dog lover. I feel welcomed and treated well. Everyone in the office isfriendly and warm and they answer the many questions I have clearly and kindly. It's a great experience (and a vast improvement over our prior vet practice). We appreciate them very much and how well they take care of our dog.

Dr Truitt is a wonderful vet - clearly excellent at diagnosing and caring for our dog and communicative and accessible for us. Her staff are terrific. The availability of home visits is helpful too. I recommend them highly.

There are not enough amazing things to say about Dr. Truitt and the Vet Set. We travel all the way from the UES to Brooklyn to see her. The office is spotless and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. There is no pushing of unnecessary treatments or procedures. Dr. T is no nonsense and will give you the honest truth about what is best for your pet. Her compassion, knowledge and professionalism is unparrelled and her honesty is refreshing. Dr T. will go to the ends of the earth to find answers to some of the most puzzling cases and consult with experts from around the country. The Vet Set is such a welcome breath of fresh air in veterinary care.

They are wonderful at the Vet Set. Dr Truitt always takes her time to go thru everything with me and they always call to follow up!
