The Neighborhood Vet Brooklyn, New York

I basically never leave reviews for places, but the work these folks do compelled me to make an exception. I can't recommend this vet enough - truly the best experience I've ever had, and (I think at least) any of my pets. They're impossibly compassionate, their knowledge and expertise are impeccable, they seem equipped to handle just about anything, and the communication and ability to answer questions and offer advice is excellent. The quality of care is just unreal. (The disparity between Dr. Loose+Staff and our last vet left me almost frustrated with the last vet) This is not even mentioning their involvement in community animal groups. A few years ago Dr. Loose helped me with an unexpected rescue. I had literally no idea what I was doing and without hesitation she reached out and helped me get a kitten vaccinated, neutered, chipped, and got me in touch with a local group to help get him fostered and adopted (last I heard to a loving home). It's the sort of thing that only people with a true passion and love for animals would do. To me at least it demonstrates without a doubt that your pet is in the best possible hands with this vet. Sincerely, if you're in the area this is the place you should bring your animals to make sure they live healthier lives.

Dr. Natara Loose and her team provide excellent care in every way an animal lover wants at your home or at their office. They care for the animals with so much heart and it’s the only vet my dog actually gets excited to go visit. (I honestly think they care about animals more than people there! In a good way!) I’ve had animals my entire life and ever since moving to Brooklyn almost 9 years ago, The Neighborhood Vet has been our spot. They communicate effectively and honestly, while providing top medical care along with a healthy dose of TLC. ???????? Thank you for always taking such good care of Cezar! ???? ????

I ran around Brooklyn trying to get someone to treat my sick cat today- so many other vet places were telling me to go to the ER or wait 2 weeks to see a vet. I walked in to TNV and was told immediately that they would see me despite my being a new walk in. This place is so compassionate and kind, and I am so grateful to the doctor for treating my cat!! 10/10 will be coming back here again.

Dr. Loose is an excellent vet. I’ve been going to her for over a year and she has done an excellent job by my puppy. We’re lucky to have her in Brooklyn.

I knew neighborhood vet was special the first time I brought my dog there. That being said, I didn't realize just how great it was until I went to a different vet on the other side of Brooklyn and decided, after one visit, to trek across the city to bring my pup to Neighborhood Vet going forward. Kind, warm, gentle, and just overall lovely. My pup still carries around the toy they gave her when she last visited.

Although we only got to have one visit with Dr. Loose before we moved out of state, we had a truly wonderful experience and are so grateful for the high quality care our dog received. The time Dr. Loose takes to ensure her patients are calm and comfortable sets the standard of care so high that we are afraid we will be disappointed when we choose a new practice!

We researched and went to many different vets In the city before finding The neighborhood vet and knew with her love of chihuahuas and thoughtfulness that she would be our best option for our tiny chihuahua. So grateful we found her!

Never got around seeing me. Texted a week later to tell me my appointment was being called. Good thing it wasn’t an emergency!

They took excellent care of my dog. The vet is extremely nice, professional and cares immensely about animals. I highly recommended this vet.

Excellent service. I picked up an abandoned, partially blind grandpa in front of my apartment. I took him in for the night, bathed and fed him, and took him to the vet in the morning. We found out he had intestinal tumors, a fractured knee, arthritis, and of course he was very very old. The vet asked if i would like to care for him but i couldn’t afford the treatment, sadly. I left Melo in the vet’s care.

Best vet Ive ever been to. Dr.Loose is knowledgeable,caring and an excellent surgeon. You can tell her support staff love working there. I could not ask for a better doctor to take care of my pets.

So grateful for this place. Much lower price than at VERG and we were able to get our cat in for am emergency surgery the same day.

I feel fortunate to have such a reliable vet that's walking distance! The doctor and the entire staff is very committed and passionate. My cat has had bad breadth for a while and unfortunately needed her molars extracted. She couldn't have been in better hands! I also found a street cat (which still needs a home) and I brought it in hoping it had a chip to find the owner. Unfortunately he did not, but they were able to tell me he was fixed, letting me know he is definitely domesticated. They also confirmed he's free from fleas, which gave me piece of mind fostering him in the mean time.

I am really happy I came across this vet. My Bobby needed a tooth pulled and some warts removed and I was really scared I wouldn't be able to afford it. Overall the bill came to around 700 which was lower than quoted anywhere else, and I am really thankful for coming across this place. Obviously vet cost are always high, but I appreciate a vet who cares and doesn't try and take you for every last penny.

neighborhood vet is the absolute best. dr. loose and staff are hella kind, thoughtful & were great w my skittish lil cat. i took my calico to a few vets after she began excessive over grooming 8 months ago due to an unknown reason. it got so bad she would have to wear a cone & a thunder shirt to focus on anything else other than excessive grooming. dr loose took on her case even tho they have a full caseload. after a month of treatment shes been more & more herself! it’s so wonderful to see my calico playing and acting goofy. thank you so much, y’all!

It was ok I had to wait outside for like two hours in the freezing cold while they look over my dog.

Dr. Loose is so wonderful with my cats and her support staff are friendly and helpful. I also appreciate the precautions they have made to keep people (and animals!) safe from virus exposure. Highly highly recommend.

Finding Dr. Loose was a true blessing. I have a very old senior pup who has been showing his age as of late and has needed lots of immediate, in home care. It is wonderful to be able to comfort your pet in your own home while they are not feeling well, and Dr. Loose allowed me at every visit to be an active part of making sure Bear was comforted & okay (which has not been my experience with other vets, to say the least). She is honest, communicative, and detail-oriented without being overwhelming at a time where you feel anxious & frantic about your dog-baby. 11/10 would recommend her services and expertise. Dr. Loose took such good care of my kitty. Both times I've been to see her she went in very nervous and came out much calmer. They're very professional and caring. Will definitely be taking her here from now on.

Natara has been my vet for probably about 9 years. She’s a true professional and most of all she genuinely cares about your pet. Natara had always gone above and beyond. She responds promptly and tries to squeeze you in when she has a packed out schedule. I couldn’t recommend her enough (and I have recommended her to EVERY pet owner in the bushwick/Williamsburg area that I know ❤️!).

I’ve seen many vets in Brooklyn but Natara and team are the most passionate and caring of them all. Your pets will be in great hands with them.
