They are incredibly kind and really care for their animals. My puppy Tekiah was terrified when she came in and within minutes she realized she had two new best friends with the vet tech and vet. Then she made even more friends at the front desk! Will 100% come again!

Horrible documentation process, their records are always wrong and they never know what vaccines or treatments my pet has had or is due for.

Have had a wonderful experience here with my dog Ollie. We started taking him as soon as he was adopted as a puppy, and now whenever we walk by Ollie tries to drag me inside! He actually wants to go to the vet (so much so that he sometimes will refuse to walk past because he wants to go in so badly). All doctors/staff/techs are wonderful and professional. They are super responsive to emails and phone calls and always helpful.

Great vet service. So glad to have something close by. We just moved to the neighborhood and we’re hesitant to give up our old vets, but these guys are great, even with our super difficult and rather scary dog. It’s very nice to have a good vet when you’ve got a tough doggo.

I brought both of my cats here for the last 8 years of their lives. The care was always extremely competent and professional. Importantly, when we were nearing end-of-life decisions, the vets took all the time in the world with me to answer questions and explain my options. I never felt pressured into taking any action, and felt incredibly supported the entire way. It says something that, even after I had to put both my cats to sleep, I still think the world of this vet practice and will bring my future cats there.

French bulldog owners beware! Had a frustrating experience at this clinic. Went in for the first time with my five year old French bulldog due to an eye issue. Vet took a 2 min look at my dog (didn’t use any form of diagnostic equipment, like a light or ophthalmoscope) and dismissed his issue as allegories. She recommended him to indefinitely go on Benadryl full-time. When I pushed back, noting that my dog doesn’t have any allergies, I was met with a cold and rude response that Benadryl is not “an issue,” as if I have no idea of my dog’s health. Ended up paying 130$ for this horrific experience only to go to another vet and find out that my dog has a corneal abrasion. This drama in total cost over 200$. I’d suggest going elsewhere for more friendly and professional medical support.

My dog needed emergency care, and his regular vet was closed, and the walk-in clinics had waits of 7-8 hours. I frantically called around until Prospect Heights Animal Hospital found me a last-minute opening at their sister location, Crown Heights Animal Hospital, and fit me and my dog in right before closing. They gave amazing, gentle care to my dog and two days later he's already feeling much better. Would highly recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE ULESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO SPEND $400 PER VISIT! I have been taking my dog here for almost two years and on our most recent visit they gave my dog a load of unnecessary vaccines just to add to the charges. On top of that they failed to mention our dog had anxiety when visiting the vet until this most recent occasion when they said it was on her chart since day 1 but no one told us. They just want to make money and pray on pet owners who will pay anything. Will be taking our dog elsewhere from now on.

Such a wonderful vet! I’ve been bringing my cat here since I adopted her 4 years ago and they are always so friendly and treat my cat SO well. I’ve never be dissatisfied here and always leaving feeling good about my pets health. They are also SUPER fast when you messaged them through their app. We’ve moved out of Brooklyn recently but will continue going here because both me and my cat love the amazing staff!

I brought my cat in for a hot spot, received medicated pads which only made my cats hair moist and matted and made infection worse. The vet did not shave the area either in which it worsened and I ended up shaving it myself at home all the way from forearm to axillary. In addition, when i brought my cat in for the hotspot, I explained to the vet that he has had runny eyes sneezing nasal discharge for months of which she said she.was not concerned. However, when I.took my cat to emergency room for his infected hotspot, they treated him for an eye infection and ear infection basically upper respiratory infection. That was a total MISS at Prospect Heights Animal Hospital so he was left with upper respiratory symptoms since I have been taking him there...The assessment at Prospext Heights Animal Hospital aplears to be poor and not thorough.. Finally, they were unable to courtesy provide eardrops for my cat though the doctor at the emergency room described his findings of my cats infection in detail..The doctor said she was not comfortable unless she saw him herself which will just be charged as another visit just for his ear...which equals no courtesy. So in conclusion, the staff is helpful but a little disorganized and the vets here do not seem thorough at all with their skills or assessment and that can cost your animal

***UPDATE*** After writing the review below I received a call from the manager. None of my previous experiences printed this call since no notes were on my account. The manager agreed service is terrible and promised a response after speaking with ownership. Haven’t heard a cricket. Wow. I’m so disappointed - this is a business built for income not for customer care. The doctors are Ok. The staff is terrible. Forgetting to notify me that spaying appointments were filling up 3 months in advance - so have to go to another vet and they literally couldn’t have cared less. They suggested I go on the waitlist - called back 2 weeks later and said my dog had never been put on the list. The doctors told me the staff was terrible - and they are. If you want to manage everything about your pet including k owing when to book appointments without any help - this is the place for you! I am running away.

Wonderful experience bringing our two cats here! Kind, friendly, and professional. They really care about safety precautions and of course about our kitties. The wait times are very reasonable and they are very responsive. Highly recommended!

I took my cat ( who was really sick) to this hospital as per a friend’s recommendation, they took her in ( bcs of COVID19 precautions) and the dr talked to me live on the phone from inside. She took her time to go over all my questions, listened to me carefully and patiently and took the best care of my kitty. Now three days passed, my cat is back on track and playing around the house ! They also called me and provided detailed test results on her. I’m more than grateful to this hospital and will take my kitty there for her future needs. ( even though the location is a bit far away from me but what matters most to me is the care my pet receives)

I had a very bad experience in this place. I took my dog to this place. And he got worst. They don't care they act like they do. They just care about charging you a bunch of money. Don't waste your time. There are better vet that care about your pets.

AMAZING AVIAN VET! I recently bought a canary (Dolly) and got super alarmed when I noticed her breathing didn’t sound normal, and her feet looked scaly. I panicked because I had no idea what to do (do vets even treat canaries?) or where to get her help (and if they did, are there any near me?). After a google search and a few phone calls, I found that, in fact, there was an avian vet who practiced at Prospect Heights Animal Hospital, and that the office was within driving distance. From the very first time I called them, they were nothing but incredibly sweet, caring, and professional. I think they realized how nervous I was about Dolly, and they were so kind and patient with me. When the day came to bring her in, I was again nervous because I wouldn’t be able to be in the exam room due to COVID. But again, every person I interacted with was so kind and reassured me every step of the way. Dr. Arroyo called me during the exam and was so thorough, explained to me every single thing she did to check that Dolly was alright, and answered the millions of questions that I asked her. I knew then that I was dealing with a doctor that truly cared about my little canary. We both agreed to do some preventative care, and she even gave me detailed instructions on proper nutrition for Dolly. When the exam was over, the office called me to pick her up, and they gave me detailed instructions on how to give her her medicine, as well as an informative sheet about the best food to feed her. During the car ride back home, I honestly felt the biggest relief because I knew that Dolly would be alright because I trusted in Dr. Arroyo and everyone who works at the hospital completely. Even though I was scared out of my mind about Dolly, the experience in bringing her in and getting her care was a wonderful one. Dolly and I truly feel like we’re a part of a family now and I can’t recommend Prospect Heights Animal Hospital enough. (Dolly is doing great btw!)

My review is long overdue. I had my Winston for over 15 years and we went to a fair amount of vets in his lifetime. Once I discovered Prospect Heights Animal Hospital we never went anywhere else even though they were not near to our home. They were beyond accommodating, compassionate and attentive throughout Winston’s final years. They were never too busy to squeeze him into their schedule and even mailed us his medication monthly. I trusted them whole heartedly and they made sure when it was his time to transition that it was done with care, love and respect. Go here, your pets will be in great hands.

In recent weeks I have had to deal with the deterioration of health of my cat. The first time I made an appointment with PHAH, my cat was seen by Dr. Matt Katz who did as much as he could in that visit and was very responsive to questions and concerns that I had. The last time I went to their establishment was this week, and the doctor I saw was Zarah Deutsch who had unfortunately had to be honest and break down the two options that I had with my ailing cat. She made it clear and comfortable to make the hard decision to put my cat to sleep. The compassion, advise and professionalism from this hospital was very needed during this hard time in the pandemic and the health of my pet. Thank you for that and to the staff that also helped me. I’m happy that I was able to bring Baby there.

Dr Novak took very great care of my senior cat, Missy today. As I was waiting at home whilst she examined Missy, she phoned me 3 times to keep me updated. Dr Novak was professional, kind, informative & gentle with her words. The receptionists/vet techs who took my initial appointment & payment afterwards were very friendly as well. Highly recommend Prospect Heights Animal Hospital ♡

I recently moved to the area and had to bring my cat in for her first visit when she had a massive lump on her neck. We saw Dr Arroyo who was so kind and patient over the phone with me since I couldn’t go inside during the visit due to COVID-19 precautions. I’m a bit of an anxious mother when it comes to my cat but she was wonderful at keeping me calm and being upfront about costs and treatments. She predicted it would be an infection but still sent out a sample to the lab, and when we got the results it turns out it was an infection! So thanks to Dr. Arroyo’s acumen and intelligence we were able to get a head start on treatment. My kitty is all healed now and so happy! I will definitely be returning, thank you PHAH!

I took my cat in to be checked out as he had been a little lethargic. I sent an email and got a call less than 10 minutes later and 40 minutes later, he was inside being examined. I picked him up and right after received a call from Dr. Quinones who explained everything and took great care of him. I love that the place is close to home and the staff was very friendly and prompt with everything.

The crew at PHAH really made me feel like family from the beginning. As a new pet parent, I was a bit overwhelmed with everything that comes along with adopting fur children. I adopted two bunnies & Jasper + Luna are taken care of as if they are PHAH own pets. The vets + secretaries do an excellent job of managing everything during covid & I could not recommend them more! Rave reviews from me & my bunnies!

I needed to get my cats nails cut during COVID and had no idea that prospect heights was open! I called and was delighted to find they were. It was so efficient. I walked up and called them and they opened the door and I passed them my cat - while they called to get my payment info - 7 minutes later she was all done and they handed her to me through the door! I’m so happy I can rely on my vet during trying times and know that Luna will be cared for!

I am so lucky to have met such wonderful people. My dog Bella needed surgery for a dead tooth that was infecting her face. She was in such pain and they were able to assist getting her in quickly with fare prices, and the best care. They were very attentive to mine and my dogs needs. I completely recommend prospect heights. This will definitely be our new go to vet! Thanks for taking care of my Bella❤

I went with my puppy Mochi for her 11 week check up. Our first visit with Dr. Wolfe was excellent! The front desk was professional and friendly, the technician handled Mochi with care, and Dr. Wolfe answered all of my new-puppy-owner questions. We feel so lucky to have found our vet!!

Prospect Heights Animal Hospital has been my vet of choice for the past few years. they have taken great care of my two dogs throughout all of their various health dramas, providing everything from routine care and to referrals for spinal surgery. today they were able to see my older dog on very short notice when I was worried about his pain level. I called VERG and Blue Pearl earlier in the day before I opted to bring him into PHAS. when I called and when I arrived later on, I was met with genuine concern and professionalism, and was reminded of how thankful I am to deal with their staff, especially when comparing my experience to the other providers I mentioned. at PHAS I am always met with great customer service and my dogs always receive attentive care, not to mention lots of treats.
