I really enjoyed my experience with Mendé, but more importantly, my cat Balthazar loved Mendé! They took great care with Balthazar and I am quite pleased with everything.

Mendé is incredibly responsive and professional. Most importantly, she genuinely loves dogs, which was evident when she met our pups. She handled them extremely well and it was obvious that she is comfortable and experienced with different types of dogs (we have a puppy and a senior dog). We’re so grateful to have discovered Mendé!

Mende has been a wonderful addition for my Butterscotch. Her flexible schedule and dedication to taking care of my girl makes her great to work with. She's dog-sat and been my dog-walker, and I recommend her enthusiastically. My girl is happy and so am I!

We recently moved and needed to find a someone to do visits for our cat Elliot when we are away and my searching led me to Mende! She is always SO responsive which is very reassuring when dealing with a pet. We had Mende do visits with Elliot twice a day while away for a few days in a July and it went so well, he can be a bit moody and very particular but he took to Mende right away during the meet and greet- and I could tell he was a big fan while we were away. Mende sends great update texts at visits with photos or a video which I love. We will be booking our next visits in a few weeks and am relieved to have found her!

Mende is truly my all time favorite pet sitter/ dog walker. My fuzzy friends MoMo and Lion adore Mende and can't wait til i go on vacation. Highly recommend Hounds of Love to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and dependable pet sitter/ dog walker!

Mendé is an exceptional caretaker (and all around lovely person) who continually goes above and beyond. Responding to neurotic dog mom texts with understanding and compassion, readily accommodating the very unsexy needs of my aging, incontinent 16 year-old - even coming BACK on their way home to attenuate via bone her bouts of retaliatory barking. Mendé is as competent as they are kind, with an intuitive ability to connect with your pet in a way that makes them feel safe, respected, and at ease - no matter their temperament (they have this effect on humans too.) I feel fortunate to have found such a special sitter for my furry one and recommend Hounds of Love wholeheartedly and without reservation.

We had a great experience when Mende watched our cat for a week. We got lots of updates and everything was easy peasy. It made going out of town less stressful to know our kitty was in good hands.

Mendé did an amazing job with my complicated situation! My 5 year of cat needed meds but was sneaky about staying outside hiding when Mendé was there, and my feral kittens are ridiculously shy! But Mendé was persistent and patient and very kind even when extra visits, and a sleepover- were required! I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Mende is one of the best pet sitters and walkers I have ever encountered. Reliable, punctual, animal loving, and she knows what she’s doing. I was never worried for a second! She sent me photos of my boys during every visit and you can see how relaxed and loved they are. I never have to look for another pet sitter again.

Mendé is THE BEST dog lover out there! I have a twelve year old yorkie who needs a little bit of special care and Mendé has always been on top of everything, super responsive, accommodating, and great. I can’t recommend her highly enough!!!

Mendé is a competent, professional pet care provider. They take excellent care of my cats whenever I leave town and they are communicative and reliable!

Mendé is such a great care-taker for our cat, Buddy, whenever we are away! She is flexible, and attentive to our pet’s needs, has reasonable prices for services, and a great communicator about how he’s doing (eating, activity, etc.).

Mende did a beautiful job of caring for our two border terriers while we were away for a full day trip. One of our dogs is a fragile senior, and she was so loving and gentle with him, making sure his needs were met. She sent pictures and kept us reassured throughout our absence. It was very reassuring, and I would recommend her services.

Mende is awesome! Before she even met my cat, Big Sexy, we had a nice long chat to get to know each other first, and establish expectations about Big Sexy's care. On their first encounter, Mende bonded with my cat and their bond has only continued to grow. I had a family emergency this Fall, and had to suddenly leave town, and had to add pilling and foot soak to her care. Mende just rolled with it! I completely trust Mende to love and do best by my pet.

Mende is AMAZING! She was so patient and kind with my two difficult and very needy rat terriers, they were always so excited to see her. Mende also has experience taking care of older dogs, so when one of my girls was diagnosed with glaucoma, Mende was prepared and diligent when it came to applying eye drops, giving medications and making sure my dog was comfortable and happy!

Mendé was incredible with our two dogs while my girlfriend and I were out of town. Not only did she stick to their tight schedule, she was updated us with pictures of them daily! It made the whole process of being gone and missing them much easier.

Mendé is the best! Loving, attentive, professional, and a total natural with animals. Mendé will care for your dog or cat as if it were their own. I can't recommend Hounds of Love highly enough!

Mende is the best with our shy-guy labradoodle pup. She gives him plenty of love and attention and always sends me updates about their walks and his "mood". And takes great pictures! I completely trust her in my home, with my love puppy, and have recommended her to my friends. She's the best!

My household has utilized Mendé's services for two years. We moved to Brooklyn with a 70 lb German Shepherd who is almost 7 years old, and three cats (ranging in age from 9 to 11 years). We were incredibly lucky to find Mendé and I want to give her the most glowing endorsement possible. Our pets are our children, and she takes the best care of them; she's very conscientious about making sure our dog (who isn’t usually a fan of other dogs or small children) enjoys fulfilling walks, while being kept out of any trouble. She’s given him and our cats medication in their food as needed and goes out of her way to send us videos and pictures when she’s caring for them. We’ve been fortunate to have Mendé do walks and feedings on very short notice (not that I endorse that practice normally, emergencies just happen) and she has always made it work. She’s watched them for extended weekends too, which is especially amazing because we don’t crate our dog and it can be hard to find a financially feasible caregiver for multiple days. Within the last year one of our cats developed a brain tumor and passed away. While he was starting to face more medical concerns Mendé was there, making sure he was okay, feeding him special food, and making sure he was comfortable. She even sent us a beautiful hand-made card after he passed. She’s amazing and we are so lucky to have her; you would be too.

Mende is a lifesaver! I’m very protective of my cat and HATE to leave her with other people. I wasn’t having any luck finding someone trustworthy and consistent on the app based services I was using until I hit the jackpot and found Mende in 2016! After meeting Mende I can finally travel knowing that my baby girl is in good hands. Mende was even able to keep me and kitty calm when she needed to be rushed to the vet. No small feat! I’m so grateful to have found someone so communicative and reliable

We love working with Mende! We have worked with her for almost two years, and she takes excellent care of our 8 year-old cat. She’s dependable and professional, and we trust her in our home. She was especially wonderful once in spotting a health condition that arose with our cat while we were away, and she made the effort to be in communication with us frequently and available for an emergency vet visit.
