I had a poor Experience at the Brooklyn Veterinary Center. The Doctor was very rude and disrespectful. I booked an appointment for my dog to get his rabies vaccine and the day I went he was very rude and scream at me just because I forgot a paper. He said screaming that he wont see my dog and took me out of the office in a very offensive way. I can’t say nothing bad about staff at the front and the nurse because they were kind, but the Doctor itself is not professional at all.

First time dog owner, and first vet experience. The Bushwick Vet Center really put me at ease - from friendly check in to the vet who put my mind at ease and made my dog feel comfortable and less stressed. Very professional and clean and the vet really seemed to care. Glad I found this place, I’d highly recommend it.

I only go here because my senior dogs health is so deteriorated I don’t feel like starting at a new vet. They assume I don’t have money-? Why? I’ve had comments made to me about asking my parents for help-? Extremely rude to me as an owner. They speak to me like they think I’m a 19yr old college student, maybe they think I’m a kid and not an adult in her 30s? I’m not sure but I always leave extremely annoyed. I have a cat and I take her to a completely different vet.

I used to recommend this vet to my friends because the vet and nurses are nice and their prices are reasonable but no more. The person at the front desk is so rude and unprofessional that unfortunately it outweighs what we liked about this vet and we won’t be coming back.

It’s hard to find a trustworthy vet who cares about your pet’s wellbeing and won’t rip you off. That’s why my dog and I love and trust Dr. Taie. He cares about my dog, Ziggy and takes his time with us. I only wish that they weren’t so booked up all the time!

So if your trying to help your dog and its an emergency don't go there, they don't care.

I have had a poor experience at Bushwick Veterinary Center. I actually really liked Dr. Taie and he is worth visiting, but the front of staff and the other vet were not helpful advisors that felt like they knew what they were doing. When I brought my 2 month old puppy in, they didn't really tell me what shots he needed, when he would need to come back in, or proactively schedule his next appointment. I thought the benefit of going to the same vet is so they know his records and can advise you on what is needed or when he is due for his next check-up. They have made too many mistakes for me to feel like my pet is in good hands: forgetting what vaccines he needs, giving me a dosage for a dog 2x the weight of my pet (I had to call and tell them that the dose was for a 15-30lb dog and my pet was less than 10lb), losing my pet's fecal sample and still charging me; I'm happy the list does not go on because I will not be coming back here.

Booked an appointment a month and a half in advance for a simple check up for my dog to get him on his health insurance. This was the soonest available appointment they had so we took it even though it was far away. The appointment was for tomorrow and we called today to confirm and was told the appointment was canceled because they suddenly had a staff meeting and no one reached out to us or made an attempt to reschedule. I highly suggest calling and confirming your appointments here if you have any, you may just show up and realize they’re canceled.

I had such a positive experience with this veterinary center. The vet was so patient and nonjudgmental with my dog who has some behavioral issues. He took his time to let my pup warm up to him and it made the exam process so much less stressful for me and my puppy. I would definitely recommend ❤️????

I had a very good experience the few times I took my cats here. They were super thorough yet tried to minimize all the costs as much as possible for me Unfortunately they don’t have weekend hours anymore and I moved to Manhattan so it’s not convenient to come here anymore

Everyone was so sweet and attentive ! I’m a first time dog owner so I had a lot of questions, but everyone from the front desk to the vet tech were so helpful ! I’m so happy to have a great vet in the area for my little pup :)

Very friendly staff and very sterile. They were able to squeeze me in last minute for a quick urgent care exam, which I’m so thankful. I would recommend to any of my friends with furbabies.

Went for a checkup and they were fine. Very standard level if care. A few weeks later my dog started intensively coughing. Tried get in touch with my vet there, but they told me to go to an emergency vet center instead. Sure i get they are booked, but not being able to even talk to my primary vet was a big issue for me. After going to the emergency vet i was told to send their diagnostic to my primary vet here at bushwick for their evaluation. I emailed them 4 days ago with no response. Called their number multiple times to get them to check my email, and all the receptionist said was “Our systems are slow, sorry”. Im in IT and this is not how emails work, they cannot be “slow”, the vet is just not reading and relying. I tried asking the receptionist again today and she actually hung up on me. Will never go back here again, just terrible with anything other than taking your money

The vet was very knowledgeable and explained everything, from my pet’s condition to different treatment options, very well and made me feel at ease. The environment and everyone on the staff was very welcoming and professional.

I already had a bad experience over two years ago when they missed diagnosing my cat with his heart condition despite me asking to triple check, least to say, he got worse quickly and passed away but since i know heart conditions can be hard to detect, I wasn't sure to fault them necessarily. But recently i brought in a rescue where i specifically asked them to check for ringworm. They confirmed he didn't have ringworm and is okay to be around other cats. His skin worsened despite baths and when he moved foster homes, the other cat started getting bald spots. To me, it's absolutely irresponsible to not truly verify whether cat has ringworm or not, especially knowing that he'd be exposed to multicat households. Aside from them, they always take several days to respond no matter the urgency, and show 0 responsibility when called out. I'm just disappointed by them. They're nice people but sloppy which puts animals at risk and unfortunately, that's my only experience with them

Very disappointed with this practice. They have such a nice external and appear kind and compassionate. I really wanted to love them. But in the end when I started to call them out on irregularities in their practice, they became extremely rude and unprofessional, hung up on me, and then again when they thought they hung up on me (but didn’t yet) I heard front desk saying awful things about me and my dog. This was very upsetting. They neglected my dog to the point where her UTI turned into a kidney infection with high phosphorus levels. Total negligence, all while saying things “we don’t want your baby to suffer.” It became obviously clear that they don’t care about our babies. Only money. Their pricing is very inconsistent (and they are very pricey to begin with), they don’t answer phones and keep you on hold for a very long time, the interactions feel insincere, and in the end I was treated horribly by their desk person, Diandra. She hung up on me and when I called again seconds after, pretended not to know me at all, what I was talking about, and what “this [was] pertaining to.” I was rightly upset. My dog was very sick, peeing large clear amounts every 15 minutes, because her kidneys weren’t able to concentrate urine. One hour later, at a different vet, we worried about kidney failure. She is a healthy 8month puppy. I had called Bushwick Vet Center four different times, on four different occasions (in the span of 4 weeks) informing the office about a very possible uti. Twice I was ready to drop off urine sample, they told me to hold off and advised that I give her cranberry and vitamin C instead. The infection went to her kidneys and she become very sick. On the day of appointment I called office to give them a heads up that she had became much worse and that she needed medication. Diandra said: go to the Emergency Vet if you don’t like here. We won’t give medication until after we get results 2-3 days from now. I don’t like to write reviews. In fact, this practice is the only one about which I’m intent on sharing my experience. Our experience was traumatic. The other veterinary center that accommodated us on the same day, did the test at MUCH cheaper price ($100 less) and gave the much needed medication to a clearly ill dog. They were *SHOCKED* that cranberry and vitamin C was offered by Bushwick Vet. I would not trust your babies here.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful here! I just brought my rescue here a couple months ago and will continue to see them for all of her needs. Highly recommend this place, all the staff are very passionate about what they do and I feel comfortable that they are giving me honest advice and prices.

I took my cat there for a checkup a month ago and they said that everything is normal and fine, then my cat got sick and I took her to a different vet and showed them the blood work results. The current vet was shocked that people at Bushwick vet Center didn’t explain to me my cats blood work, considering that it was abnormal, and pointed signs of my cat having anemia, inflammation or possibly even cancer! I am so angry at the bushwick clinic, considering that they saw the abnormal blood results and didn’t tell me anything about them.

Weren't able to get an appointment but they were more than happy to help point me in the right direction to help my pup. (I should have called ahead, it's not their fault)

I have revised my original review as we had a followup consultation with our primary feline veterinarian that had been working with our pets since our initial visit and he was understanding, helpful, and offered suggestions and assistance that was able to resolve our issues.

Love Love Love BVC! They were an amazing team that work super fast and took care of my cat swiftly. They were super attentive, with amazing service and attention to detail on everything from checking-in to, walk you thru the process of waiting for your pet and the areas you can stay.

I worked here for 2 years so I truly got to experience everything in this clinic. After leaving (just because I moved out of state) I truly was able to sit back and appreciate how wonderful this clinic is! Dr.Taie is one of the most caring vets you will ever meet and he will truly care for your pets as his own. When one of my pets passed away he went above and beyond to ensure I had all my questions answered and made possibly one of the most terrible times in my life much more comfortable. I cannot rave about this place enough!
