For some reason it is almost impossible to make an appointment now. When I call they try to give me a date in 5 weeks. But recently sent me a reminder email that my cat is due for check up. When I requested an appointment online nobody even bothered to call me to confirm or to offer a different date. Is this a joke? Not happy about their services anymore and so sad I have to write a review like this.

Very unprofessional with making appointments and poor communication. The service is tardy and not professional

The technicians are wonderful, caring.and knowledgeable. Dr. Stephen Zawie is excellent and takes the time to explain everything to you. When he says he will get back to you, he does. You can tell he loves what he does. I highly recommend Bensonhurst Veterinary Care.

Went here with my cats over the years. They were fine for simple check up as long as you have an appointment. Once the receptionist finally answers the phone, she is very rude, uncaring & confrontational. When the vet performed incomplete blood work, the doctor acknowledged the error, did the complete blood work and then charged me again. This was all part of a physical to prepare my cat for a dental scaling & extraction. I thought the procedure went well and they gave him a shot of antibiotics to last 2 weeks. When the 2 weeks were up, cat stopped eating. Receptionist refused to have my cat seen. Cat not eating is an emergency. "We don't triple book." was her nasty response. Go to Verg. Took my guy to Verg. He was very, very sick. Why was this not found when Vet first did check up 2 months earlier in prep for oral surgery? Simple palpitations on body revealed issues when we went to Verg. This vet was looking for the money. 2 orders of blood work for $600 & about $2500 for dental and the receptionist wouldn't even run the problem by the vet. They are good until you need them. Go elsewhere.

Dr. Zawe told my mother to bring her dog to a dermatologist because he has deemed ex. . We found one in Hackensack. Then the dog was diagnosed with allergies an was getting better. The dermatologist sent all the records to Dr. Zawe We ran out of the meds and the dog was loosing his hair again. We went back to Dr. Zawe and clearly he didn't read the records and continued treating him for Demadex. Well the dog is getting worst now and now we have to go back to Hackensack. Also most vets in Brooklyn let you go in with your pet.

I have never met a more caring vet than Dr Zawie. He literally took me in from the street before clinic even opened after I was crying because my dog just had a health episode occur. Within an hour I had a plan of action, reassurance, and support. He always follows up after our visits, always answers emails, and is just honestly the best I’ve found.

The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable, profession, caring and kind.

They are caring n loving. They treated my fur baby like he was their own.

DO NOT CALL THERE THEY DONT NEED NEW CLIENTS

If I can give zero star to this Vet. They do not even worth one star. They don't really care your pets health status. After they charged more than $600 from you. There is no update and follow up for the test report which they guarantee in 3 days. When you made the phone call try to follow up by yourself after 7 days, the nurse just super rude. I have never seen such a rude person. When they can not give you an answer. They just hang up your phone. What a vet! Are you guys only care about making money? Completely ignoring the fur baby parents anxious feeling? My dog was having blood in her urine. This means nothing to them. They don't care at all... Again, I highly recommend the reception or nurse who answer my phone. Please do not have any pet in your life. Because you do not care them at all.

Quick sevice, decent fees.

Recently decided to switch vets and gave this place a shot due to the location. As kind and helpful as the staff was Dr. Porfido was a true gem. She made sure to go over every option I had and the various pros and cons as well. She was honest with me and answered every single question I had. Thank you Dr. Porfido! Edit: After my last visit they ran a bunch of unnecessary tests on my dog and then had me wait in the cold because they forgot to charge me for the tests I needed and them pretty much shrugging when it came to diagnosing the issue I was tempted to change my review. Recently I called in and after describing my dogs symptoms and being told being told they are concerning they told me to call another vet. Thanks.

Best serv ever I bring all my 4 pets there ????

Been calling for a few days and no one picked up. Finally picked up today just to be told they aren’t accepting new pets which I was cut off by the receptionist before I even finished saying I have a new pet. I’m glad I’m not going here then if this is how they would speak to customers.

Stay away! The vet there is irresponsible, and doesn't care about your pet. This place is overpriced, and the receptionist is extremely rude who hangs up on the client. They don't need new clients. Be warned.

The prices for this vet are alright, a little more on the pricey side in my opinion. They charge minimum 500 to neuter cats, I got it done for free at ASPCA. I’ve gotten all of my cats vaccinations from here, he stays in great condition. However, I’ve have paid over hundreds of dollars on stool samples and blood work multiple times for my cat and they never call back to tell me the results. Once I go back in for my cats next appointment I have to ask the doctor about it. They tell me they tried calling me and I didn’t pick up. Not true. What’s the point in spending so much on these tests if I will not get the results? Other than that, this vet is reliable and the workers are kind.

It's a different type of relationship which is really important to me. I don't have kids, but I trust these team with the most important in my small family- Kunya???? my little Biewer. Guys always patient with me, coz I get so nervous when it comes to something like surgery, which for someone is routine. Kunya is now at home after the surgery and recovering. I want to thank you guys for everything you do, wouldn't go anywhere else. You were the best decision I made regarding Kunyas health.???? Thank you

Doctor really care's about peoples' pets!

Dr. Mikhelzon did a wonderful job with my dog Levi’s surgery. He had melanoma by his eye and my family and I were very concerned about it. We had consultations with 3 different vets and in the end we chose her because we felt the most comfortable. She was very accommodating, especially on the day of the procedure. Dr. Mikhelzon, if you’re reading this, please excuse our long overdue review and accept our sincere thank you.

Absolutely great Vet! Dr. Mikhelzon always explains everything as clearly and in depth as possible. This clarity makes you feel confident in the the treatment plan for your pet. The nursing and front desk staff are always professional, friendly and helpful.

Both Dr. Zawie and Dr. Dr. Mikhelzon were both great in taking care of my senior cat and my 3 yr old cat. I highly recommend them with all of your pet's needs!!!!

NEVER EVER USE THIS CLINIC. I LOST MY DOG BECAUSE OF INCOMPETENCE OF THE DOCTORS!!!! MY SMALL DOG HAD SUCH A BIG DOSE OF MEDICATION THAT IT STOPPED IT HEART! IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR PETS NEVER GO THERE!!!

Very nice, very personal very friendly. Great place to bring your pet for checkups or any kind of health visit.
