Veterinary Care Group - Astoria Astoria, New York

I had my loving cat, Leo for 17 years. Throughout his life, I took him to another Vet in Astoria. He was diagnosed with kidney disease and for 2 more years, he underwent many treatments. When he became sicker and needed his vet most of all, there was a staff change and the new doctor that took over Leo's treatment was not a good fit for us. That's when I asked around to all my friends, and Dr Hellen Yu of VCG was unanimously recommended. I took a chance with a new vet clinic and doctor. I just wanted and needed Leo to have the best care possible. I was only able to interact with Dr Yu and team for 3 weeks, as my Leo passed away the afternoon of Christmas Eve. When I called the office to let them know I had to make the hardest decision of my life, they were amazing. They helped my partner and I navigate through the process and seemed genuinely invested and caring. Some even cried along side us when he passed. I assumed that would be the last time I heard from them, but Dr Yu called me personally a couple of days later just to check on us and see how we were coping and let us know they were there for us if we needed support. A few days after that, we received a sympathy card from her and the team, each writing such beautiful words of condolence. I can't believe that this team, who I barely knew, cared so much for us. Words can not express how grateful I am to this team. My only regret is not having taken Leo there sooner. If I ever get another family addition, I know for a fact that Dr Yu and team will be their primary vet.

My Brady is well cared for. So important to me. They ask questions that help them understand my pup! I can call and get help with my pup. Warm loving care givers.

My dog is very shy when it come to new people. The people who work there were very friendly and trying to calm her down. The way they waited for her to calm down and enter to the vet was very helpful. She came out very happy when they finish checking her. The people who work there are very friendly and will treat your pet very nice.

The team at Vet Care Group Astoria are incredible. They care so much about our pet's health and happiness, so much so that our dog actually loves going to the vet! There is so much care and attention given to our dog's experience, including follow up calls with us and flexibility when things come up. We are so grateful to VCGA!

They listened to the issue I had with my little 4lb baby, and agreed to see him last minute despite it being late and close to closing. They were patient, thorough and generally amazing. I love this place!

Love this place, I’ve been coming here for about two years now and never been disappointed. I have a pit bull and most place aren’t very friendly with him but here they treat him like family! Thanks guys, really appreciate you!

This place is great. Actually they are beyond great. Only reason why I am giving 3 stars is because they have very limited available spots for your furry babies. This is how it goes. You go there one time AMAZING service. If you need to see them urgently, just go somewhere else already. They are not flexible and when you ring them they pick up once in a blue moon. Soo.. see what’s works for you. Sometimes I ask myself if my experience there was a dream. If you need routine once in a blue moon care cool. But when you need immediate attention. Forget it!

I wish they open up to allow people to come in wi there pets

I took our older cat in who had some serious ear issues. The doctor and staff there were very friendly and were very gentle with her and me. This office was amazing, so happy they are in my neighborhood.

We've been bringing our cat here for the last few years and they are wonderful. Very professional, kind, and patient with our many questions and requests, and most importanly great with our fluffy child. Definitely recommend!

Unbelievably rude, a mediocre staff and lack of basic medical knowledge to say the least. If you are looking for a reliable, quality and knowledgeable staff, please it’s waste of your effort and compromising the health and welfare of your pet.

I've come to VCG - Astoria twice now for doctor's visits for my kitty, and I've been very satisfied with the professionalism, warmth and care my little companion has received. Both doctors (Dr. Yu & Dr. Bris) have been attentive and taken the time to explore options, ask relevant questions, and answer my concerns. Both doctors were personable and warm, which made me feel like my pet was in good hands. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would say its been the best vet experience I've had so far in NYC.

My dog Oakley absolutely ADORES Agnes, Dr. Yu and the rest of the Astoria Veterinary Care team. They are so gentle with her and are genuine animal lovers. I have always felt Oakley was in good hands when it came to her healthcare. Counseling was always clear and understandable. I would highly recommend this group.

My first time bringing my two cats in was a smooth process, even though it was curbside appointments (owners not allowed to enter clinic). The staff were very friendly including Madison. She brought my two cats in and out my car! Dr. Elizabette Cohen took care of my cats and she was thorough over the phone and very receptive to all my questions. I’ll definitely be returning back to VCG Astoria for follow up visits!

I am very happy with VCG Astoria, Dobby my puppy is a 3 lbs Mal-Shi he loves going there and gets so excited to see the nice people that work there. They explain everything they are doing, and best of all they follow up with a phone call to see how my puppy is doing. They care for your pet as much as you do, I highly recommend this place.

They really care for your pet. I’m so glad I found a veterinary group like this, every single one that’s part of this vet it’s 100% committed to their job and they’ll do whatever it’s in their power to help your fur baby. VCG has the best attentions, I only wish they offer full services since they only have the basic. Doctor Yu is 10/10. Loveee them, please never change.

How luck I am to find A place as VETERINARY GROUP-ASTORIA where I took my Cat (PEWPEW), to find help to her health Issue. What Good surprise to find A people really wanting to help me and my cat. I have no see the Vet that took care of my Cat, cause the epidemic time its impossible to see the Vet. I left my cat, and soon the Vet call me and Patiently explain everything about my cat problem. I totally appreciated the NICE staff that nicely help me and my PEWPEW. I totally recommend Veterinary Group - Astoria, we really needed a place like that to take good care of our Pets. Was a wonderful experience bringing our new puppy there. As first time puppy owners, we had a lot of questions, and felt like we were in great hands! Thank you VCG!

There isn’t much more that you can ask for than to feel as though your pet is being taken care of as though it was by you. Both of the lovely ladies that I met as well as Dr Yu were exceptionally caring. Even better, Gwen is feeling much better on her new allergy prescription, and I could see the difference in how she was feeling within just one day.

One of the best if not the best vets in Astoria, they communicate with you following up on your pet, keep you updated with reminders about next visits. Super friendly and professional. No negatives!

The staff here is amazing!!! I’ve had the pleasure of bringing my dogs here who were greeted with love and compassion when it was impossible to be physically apart of the visit due to Covid restrictions they included me in every part of the way. From the technicians to the attentive veterinarians I am very pleased and will continue bringing my fur babies here. You won’t regret your decision to do so too!!

I went to this location thanks to the good reviews I had read. Very happy I did. It was my puppy’s first visit to a vet..had to get vaccinated, too. My mini pinscher mix is a very loving pet but also stubborn.. I was really worried she’ll come out scared and hating people. She also got a complimentary nail trim..and yet!..she came back out just as sweet and loving..what a relief! Dr Joseph Silverman and the staff were wonderful..and my pet had no side effects to the vaccine..she played and ran for another good 4 hours..ate like a pig..and slept throughout the night as usual.

As a new puppy parent, my husband and I did a lot of research before deciding on VCG Astoria. We were really impressed with how nice and knowledgeable the staff was over the phone so decided to make our puppy's first well visit. They took excellent care of her and we were really happy with our choice!
