First time here awesome guy! Picked up a quaker parrot

i literally don’t know how this place is still up and running. the animals cages are dirty and crowded. everything is overpriced and the owner of the store is rude and disrespectful.

Ben helped us with our first fish purchase. He was so helpful and informative. We’re very happy with the service here.

When I was told he didn’t have the first item on my list for my(tropical) pets I was advised to find that kinda stuff on the internet, I assured him there are places I normally go too but needed a closer location right now as my normal place Petqua was out of the perticular item until we’d. as he was trying to end the call I had to cut him off to try and ask for the second item. There was more things on my list but he was quite a arrogant fellow I decided not to Pursue further business.

Went for cans for my kittens and collars. Excellent personal service. Friendly atmosphere.

Came in to purchase a couple of canaries, and to ask questions, person treated me like a child, rude and overprotective of his animals, I’m 60 years old, will never recommend shopping there, oh by the way, I’m an avian specialist, try to con someone else!

I go here all the time to get food for my turtle

disgusting 1. everything is overpriced a small cage is like 60 dollars 2. atleast have good humane products that could justify it but no, small 1 gallon tanks, critter trails, and pine bedding! that’s only the beginning and the the space is unbelievable you got a bird staring at you the second you walk into this cramped place you can’t even walk around and it’s not a good place to get pet supplies

Ben helped me pick out some great tropical fish and the fish are very lively and energetic. I love my angel fish he’s growing great and definitely gotta come back to get more to fill up my 55 gallon. The staff super helpful and helped me set up everything without a problem !

They have everything for reptiles! Even live food. Owner and staff very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable.

I went to buy a BB parrot at $299 plus tax, they want cash for their birds, I only had a credit card on me so I when to the bank the next day first thing in the morning, when I got to the store a worker told me that the price was now $400 for the same bird, they try to swindle me. Not happy at all, 2 stores same owner with different prices for the same bird

Do not buy any fishes from this store. I had a Betta fish for almost 5 months, he was healthy and never had an issue. When I purchased two fishes from this store my Betta fish started to hide and not eat. We separated all three fishes and saw weird spots on my Betta fish. After doing research I discovered my Betta fish had a disease called “The ick” and can only be transmitted from another sick fish. Unfortunately, it was too late...my Betta fish passed away yesterday night. I will be keeping the two fishes and try to recover them because they as well are sick. DO NOT BUY ANY FISHES FROM THIS STORE!! THEY MIGHT HAVE A DISEASE AND CAN KILL YOUR FISH IF YOU HAVE ONE. For the Owner saying it is in my tank...that explains why YOUR fish gave my fish the disease. We had our betta fish healthy till I brought from your store. DONT BUY FROM HERE!!

Super helpful, the baits are very reasonably priced. Super exotic beautiful birds. If you're lucky catch Owner while feeding the baby animals. It's heart melting!

Friendly owner, always has food and supplies for my reptiles

Loved the place, I got a hatchling red eared slider from here red and got help right away and picked out my essentials. The turtle is very healthy and lively. Only two problems it was most people did not wear masks and the prices are little expensive. But overall good quality and healthy animals.

Great place! Benjamin the owner is very nice and helpful. And he knows his birds. I e gotten Cockatiels from here and he knew exactly which ones are nice and friendly or which ones sing cute. I always go here when i need birds. Def check this spot out. He knows his birds! Forget the other reviews that are bad. This store is busy as hell at times so if hes rushing around helping other people dont take it seriously. All in all, this is the best pet shop in the BX ! I was there over the weekend of March 5 th Benjamin wasnt there but his staff were. The two hispanic younger males should keep their masks on as it is a small store. Thats what Benjamin needa to tell his staff. They need to wear their masks at all times!! The store is too small for people not to wear masks. I drove all the way from Pennsylvania and def dont want to get covid int he Bronx from buying pets, and now i feel sick and fatigued so ill have to do a covid test and this was the only place ive went to all month. So staff here definitely need to keep on their masks!

I wouldn’t recommend buying birds from this store I went in and looked at his macaws and he had two large macaws in one very small enclosure which clearly aren’t the proper dimensions required for a macaw he also co-hab the birds that are different species which is not recommended between the bird community he only feeds them a seed mix which also isn’t recommended because they can get fatty liver disease so I wouldn’t recommend to be honest

I'm giving this place a one star, for one main reason: NO MASKS. Customers didn't wear them, staff didn't wear them and the place is really small with narrow aisles (like a lot of independently owned pet food stores). Staff is helpful, and they sell good brands, but I won't go there any longer because of how irresponsible they are.

Their knowledgeable but not friendly.

The Owner Ben Is A Very Nice Guy And Very Helpful.

This is a well-run and fascinating store. When I walked through to the back of the store, the proprietor was spraying water mist on a variety of lizards, and they seemed to be in a state of rapture. He set down his sprayer and helped me with what i needed. He is intelligent and civil, and his store is clean, intelligently stocked, and a jewelry box of beautiful animals

Good prices and great service. Better than expected selection as well. Definitely recommend if you have a pet...or want one!

This is my go-to place for name tags for our "Tropical Pets" as well as a gift for a new pet parent. I purchase the plastic tags and they last forever! The info on the tag is clear and very easy to read! Service couldn't be better as most orders are received within 2 days! The only time I replace original tags is when I change the collar and leash. I may then order a new tag to complement the color scheme of the new "apparel" ! And....they are on the Central Coast...just up the highway from me!
