I had a pet that was in need to be euthanized as he was is discomfort. He had been failing and I contacted Lap of Love to “ register” him weeks ago so when the time came it would go smoothly. My dog took a drastic turn for the worse, and unfortunately it was on New Year’s Day. I called LOL and the earliest I could get him in was January 24th; three plus weeks away. If this is a service that supposedly offers comfort and peace at the end of a pets life, they drastically fall short. If the service is intended to offer the owner and especially the pet to be put out of their suffering at the time if need, then someone should be available if not 24/7, then at least no more than a days wait. Great idea to come to the home; bad execution. I would not recommend.

Dr. Caitlin Rizzo was perfect, she was caring and extremely kind. I am forever grateful for helping my fur baby Jesse transition into his after life.

I can not say enough kind words of Dr Caitlin Rizzo in the Buffalo,NY area. A much better experience than going to the Veterinarian office. Dr Caitlin Rizzo…. Thank you for what you do ❤️.

I can't recommend Lap of Love highly enough. Scout was able to lay comfortably in her bed all morning. The vet came to our house and we were able to hold her through the entire process. Dr. Caitlin Rizzo was patient and kind. She talked to Scout and made us all feel cared for. The best decision we made was calling Lap of Love.

I like “lap of love” and the idea of their program.. I give 5 stars to lap of love and what their mission is.. however, their one doctor (who’s name I won’t mention) drove around with the remains of my first dog in the back of her car for three days because she apparently can’t keep her word with me pertaining when she will deliver the ashes of my greatly missed, personal first dog. The wooden box is beautiful, the paw print is awesome and the company is doing a nice thing.. and I would, in a way.. still recommend them

while I wish I never had to use this service, to have my baby Harley put to sleep in his home where he grew up and was comfortable surrounded by his family was the best option. Dr.Liz was very professional, caring and sympathetic. She made the best of what is the worst day anybody with pet ever has. Thank you

Our beloved Zoe was 14 years old began having great difficulty walking it was getting so painful to watch. She wasn’t eating much and lost so much muscle mass. My daughter called for me. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Liz was. Zoe wanted to be outside her favorite place by our front gate. So that’s where she choose. It was peaceful and beautiful she never flinched and I was able to lay right next to her. Dr. Liz was so compassionate and gentle. She took her time allowing me to say my goodbyes. I would recommend them to all. Thank you again for treating my Zoe so like the wonderful dog she was I miss her so much. Sincerely, Diane Alessandra Also love her paw print ????????

I have used Lap of Love twice now. Stephen is amazing! Kind, compassionate, patient, and supportive. My Suzie was able to be comfortable and at home when her time came because of him. The staff are wonderful and caring. They will answer and and all of your questions, even if you call 3 times a day. One of my worst days was made easier because of them.

There aren’t enough nice words to say about this company. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our 14 year old lab a few days ago. Shadow had high anxiety at the vet office and was often referred to as being “like a bucking horse” during his appointments. So, I can’t even imagine how traumatizing this would have been if we had to bring him in. Dr Erin from the Buffalo/Niagara Lap of Love came to our home, thoroughly explained everything and patiently gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to Shadow. He was able to comfortably and peacefully pass in his own bed cuddled up with one of his blankets. We have another dog, our chihuahua Mila. Shadow was her protector. I think her being able to be present was an important role in her grieving cycle as well. Before taking Shadow, Dr Erin gave us his paw print and a clipping of his fur. Later, we received the sweetest follow up email from her. They are there to support you 110% and really go above and beyond to make sure the day as least stressful as possible. I can’t believe how many people we have spoken to had no idea in-home euthanasia was even an option. I would recommend Lap of Love to anyone having the unfortunate need of saying goodbye to their fur baby.

I highly highly recommend Lap of Love. We had to put our dog down today and Dr Erin was very compassionate. Even the people that answer the phone are the same way. They made the whole process a lot easier.

We could not have had a more compassionate and caring experience. Thank you Dr Erin. We were able to say goodbye to our beloved dog in our own backyard where he loved to play, with family members and his companion dog alongside. Thank you Lap of Love for being there for us.

Lap of love are incredibly compassionate and caring people. Our pets provide us with unconditional love and It is our duty, when it is their time and all hope is lost, to provide for them the ability to pass peacefully in the comfort of thier own homes with the people they love.

A week ago today my husband and I had to make that gut renching phone call to Dr. Steve. It was time to say goodbye to our beautiful, smart, loyal, and amazing Pudge. Pudge was a 14 yr old Aussie Shepard/Cattle mix. In April she was diagnosed with liver cancer and the vet wasn't sure if it had also spread to her spleen. They had wanted to do surgery but no guarantees. We decided not to put her through that kind of surgery, especially at her age. This past week has been awful without her, but we're so thankful that there's someone as compassionate and caring as Dr Steve. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Pudge was able to say goodbye in her home, not in an environment with lots of distracting noises and strangers.
