Thank you! This is a game changer for us, to be able to run around town and go to lunch and the hot springs! Our dog is 12 years old, and a pit bull and pretty grumpy when she has to play with "others". We arrived to pick her up (her first day ever at a doggy day care) and there she was in an area with 8 other dogs!!! She was exhausted for the rest of the day. We will definitely be using them again.

Good place & people! So trustworthy. My dog was good mood and happy when I picked him up. It was nice to drop him off and go to hot springs for a day with peace of mind. I’ll definitely go there again when I’m in town again.

I took my dogs here for the day and they did great! The owner is very experienced and I trust her completely. Even though this place seems to have seen better days, I highly recommend!

Had a great experience. Dogs came home tired but happy. Was so nice to have a safe place for the girls while we went ATVing in the mountains. Would highly recommend.

Just picked up my husky from being boarded here for 10 days. He was a happy boy and was obviously well taken care of. The facility is clean and does not smell. We are very pleased and will absolutely take our pup back!

Get peace of mind leaving your four legged kids here while you play in Pagosa! We brought our Akita and small dog here for daycare play on our vacation and the service was wonderful. From the phone call to the last pick up we were very happy with our experience.

I cannot recommend and thank Maria, Jeff and Stephanie enough. We went on vacation for what we thought would be a quick and easy 4 days for a family function, so we left our two dogs with Doggy Daycare. One of our sweet pups had a medical emergency while she was there and had to be sent into emergency surgery. The level of communication was so incredible between Doggy Daycare, the mobile vet and our vet office— we were constantly in the know about what was going on, we got pictures and updates about both of our dogs while gone and we felt very secure about everything that was happening even though it was scary! We actually wouldn’t have known the symptoms of what to look for in our dog who was ill and had to have surgery, had she been at home with us— but Jeff did. Doggy Daycare literally saved my best buddy’s life— thank you.

Our dogs stayed 3 nights. Staff is attentive and friendly. Place was clean and safe. You can tell my dogs were comfortable staying there. No complaints.

Walked into the office to a female dog in heat with blood on the ground. The overall place was very dirty and not well maintained. Was told that most dogs that area boarded here have never been to a doggy day care before, which makes it sound like they run into issues with dogs more often than not. I pick my dog up after one night and he has an eye infection, is incredibly sick and throwing up in the car on the drive home to Denver. I will never use this place again.

Our Chessie needed a bath because she was blowing her coat. Holy Cow! Jeff got us in the day we called and you could just tell how much he cares about the dogs and the quality of service. Great job! We'll be back!!

We were very happy to have a safe, friendly, and clean place for our puppy to socialize and spend the day while we went skiing. I would recommend it.

Our pup had a great day with Jeff and the other dogs. We dropped Winston off early in the morning, did a huge hike, came back and found a happy and TIRED doggie.

We needed somewhere to leave our 2 pups for the day and Maria was very helpful in getting in contact with our vet in Texas to verify shots as we didn’t take verification with us and they couldn’t email it. It was an easy drop off and we picked up 2 happy pups!

We had such a wonderful experience with Doggy Day Care 81147. Jeffrey was quick to reply to my email and Maria who we met in-person was so kind and you could see how great she is with the dogs and really gets to know each and every one of them. It was nice to give our older dog a break from all the activity on our camping trip and we could tell he had a great time and was well-cared for. The facilities are really nice as well. I only wish all the doggy daycares in Colorado were like this, we've been to many all over the state and this is one of the best!

Took my two dogs there as we were from out of town and wanted to play golf. The care was very good, they came back to the motorhome exhausted It’s comforting to find a place that makes you feel comfortable when you’re not in your own environment

I have a 5 year old husky. Never been socialized. I brought him here for 2 days overnight boarding... when I picked him up, they had him playing in the big play yard with 30 other dogs. This place is an absolute Godsend. My baby now plays with other dogs, and there's no fighting. This is the best place ever. Everyone needs to bring their fur babies here. Nugget, the golden husky.

I've been boarding my golden retriever here for years, sometimes for weeks at a time. Maria, Jeff and the crew are terrific. They are excellent dog trainers, smart, perceptive and caring. I can now travel freely knowing my dog is in the best of hands. In fact, when I drop him off, he tugs on the leash trying to get in the door as fast as possible.

Per sign on door, hours are from 8-12 and 1-5 weekdays. (12:00 to 1:00 is for Doggie Naps per the sign).I dropped my dog off with Maria@ 8 AM on Friday, 2/1/19, for some socialization with other dogs.(he lives on 35 acres with no other dogs around) . My wife and I came to pick him up at 11:40 (20 minutes before 12) and when we got out of the car, we could hear the dogs barking and jumping up against the walls. Got to the door, the lights were out, and there was nobody home. (my dog and all the others had been left alone for an hour and a half that I'm aware of) Called both posted numbers 4 times each and got no response other than a message machine. The owner? Jeff, per happenstance, showed up @ 12:30. (it was his day off) I had already been waiting nearly an hour and had he not showed up, no telling how long I would have been waiting as I found out later that Maria had left for personal business and had not left a note. But she did leave her phone. He told me that sometimes people leave early for lunch and leave the dogs alone. I told him that I didn't appreciate my dog or the others being left alone for hours. Jeff said it was Colorado law to take an hour break.(maybe to take an hour lunch break but not to leave the dogs alone.... period, for ?? hours) What happens if the power goes out, or a fire, or a hundred other things. I never imagined that during "Doggie Naps" the dogs were put in cages, the lights turned out, and abandoned for hours. Then Jeff expected me to pay full price. As far as I know, Maria could have left 2-3 hours before I got there and Jeff might not have stopped by. Who knows? No apologies, (Update, he did apologize via a message later in the day) no break on the price, only a confrontational attitude from Jeff. After we got the dog into the SUV, he drank more water than he ever has at one time (a 12 oz. bottle and half of another for a 30 lb. dog). I'm not saying they didn't put water in the cage he was abandoned in, but I am saying I've never seen him that thirsty. Maybe he spilled his water, who knows, nobody was there. Lastly, we have spent a lot of time and expense having him trained as a service dog. I don't appreciate him being abandoned and left alone in the dark for who knows how long with a bunch of other dogs that are barking incessantly. Personally, I don't think all of the other dog owners know that their dogs are being left alone in the dark for ?? hours. Also, if you are going to post business hours, you should adhere to them. And answer your business phone when it keeps ringing. Might be an emergency. I wrote this with my wife less than 2 hours after picking him up so the details would be easily remembered and precise. Won't ever be going back and I will relay this story to everyone I can.

My Lab stayed here 4 days at Christmas. Clean facility with a great staff. Dogs interact and get a lot of attention.

Been taking our lab mix (Nisswa) here for a few years. Nisswa adores Maria and the doggy daycare staff. She is always excited to stay and play with her puppy pals. We've always had a great experience checking her in and out. We've used two other kennels in town (they did fine) but it's pretty clear which gives Nisswa the most comfortable and attentive stay. I'd recommend these guys first for your puppy sitting needs.

Stay away from this place. The owner uses outdated and dangerous “training” techniques that are recommended against by veterinary behaviorists and professional trainers. She uses methods that are punishment- and fear-based, when it has been well proven that confrontational tactics increase the risk of aggression in dogs. She uses methods like “flooding” in a misguided attempt to “socialize” dogs who act aggressively toward other dogs, which is well known to make their underlying fear worse. She acts very assertively like she knows what she is doing but clearly has no legitimate training in the animal behavior field. Within moments of meeting our dog, she smacked him for growling at another dog, when we had already informed her that he did not do well with other dogs. She also left our long haired black dog outside in 95 degree heat with no water. If you need legitimate training advice, stay away from her and consult professionals like the American Veterinary Animal Behavior Society, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, a Veterinary behaviorist, or others who use positive training methods.

Another stay for our pup, she fit in well and seemed to love her time there. Came back in good spirits. Great price, can’t beat the cost for a day on the slopes. Staff was helpful and really great energy

The person who runs this operation is incredibly eccentric, unflexible and difficult to deal with. Do NOT recommend.
