I have been visiting Kindness Animal Hospital and Dr. Claire Lodhal for several years with several of my WPG hunting dogs.I have called several times with urgent care problems, they have always been ready, willing and able to assist me and my family of dogs. In my opinion Dr. Lodhal is very caring, professional and the best. Her staff is always exactly the same. If you are looking for a Veterianian that is responsive, professional, and truly cares Kindness Animal Hospital is the place. I highly recommend them.

The name definitely fits the staff and doctor. They were very kind and very helpful in getting our dog well. If it wasn't for them we would have lost our little baby squishy I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Lodahl and her staff are friendly, compassionate, caring & extremely professional. We are traveling in our RV and staying in Bayfield. Our cat became very sick and they made sure she was seen the day we called! They were wonderful and took time to explain the next steps, procedures & medications to us after examining our cat. The next day Muffin was doing really well and we credit this animal hospital with saving her life! Their prices are fair, the team is efficient and instantly gained our confidence. We highly recommend this veterinary clinic!

My 14 year old Aussie Shepherd was viscously attacked by a young aggressive dog and awoke the next morning unable to stand or walk. After calling several Durango Veterinary hospitals who advertise as urgent care clinics that wouldn't take us in for a week, I called Kindness. Initially I was told they were booked up too, yet after explaining the critical condition of my dog the intake person asked if she could put me on a brief hold to speak with the doctor. Dr. Lodahl picked up the call and after a brief discussion found a time mid afternoon for us. My girl had to be carried in and out of the clinic on a stretcher, I've never been to a clinic that even had one before. Dr. Lodahl displayed highly professional demeanor and skill, and unknown me at the time I made the appointment, had orthopedic veterinary training and was able to test for motor function of my dog as well as diagnosing a TBI with brain swelling. Dr. Lodahl gave her two injections to control the swelling of her brain, and my girl is now on complete rest for 3-4 weeks, with the expectation of a good recovery prognosis. I am so grateful for Dr. Lodahl and her staff's compassion through this traumatic experience. We were traveling and visiting at a friend's house when another guests dog made the unprovoked attack. The viscous dog owner immediately skipped town after the attack, leaving is without a word of concern or support. Dr. Lodahl and her staff gave us compassionate care which helps heal our hearts, as well as body.

The other day my dog woke up with what I thought was Cherry Eye. I called 20+ clinics from Dolores, to Cortez, Mancos and Durango. Since I am new to the area, not one clinic would see my dog.. Brie, was the nicest assistant to pick up the phone and actually helped with my concerns. She put me on a very brief hold and next thing you know, I am speaking to the doctor directly. An instant relief came over me. Dr. Lodhal was sincere, caring,compassionate and was able to get me in within 24 hours. My dogs eye did get better before his appointment so we didnt go in, but this is 100% my vet moving forward. Thank you Brie & Dr. Lodhal!!

Best vet in town, maybe anywhere. Truly cares about your pets wellbeing and health. Wouldn't trust anyone else with our animal family members.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! We were visiting from out of town, when our kitten's eye was injured. They got us in quickly, were concerned, compassionate, caring and very professional. If we lived in this area this would be my go to veterinarian clinic! Thank you!

I asked for my dogs eyes to be checked because they were watering so much. I was told it was windy and sent home with eye drops. A wk later my groomer called and said that my dog had entropia. When I took my dog to another vet I was told the entropia was severe and my dog needed surgery to correct her eye lids

Dr. Lodahl and her staff have always been amazing to me and my fur babies. She has seen mine on a few separate occasions when it has been an emergency. Although my sweet bobo didn’t survive his emergency I know I made the right choice and gave him the best fighting chance. They are all kind and knowledgeable and show great compassion. Dr Lodahl was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me identify my Frankie had a bug bite on his eye with out having us come in. Thank you for your help while we are on vacation.

We travel a lot and needed a check-up and rabies shot for our little fur baby. Everyone at this Animal hospital was very kind and professional, it was a great experience. We will definitely recommend them and return if we ever need assistance again!!

Dr Lodahl and her staff are great. They show compassion and are my preferred vet. They make you and your animal feel comfortable. They always respond and do their best to schedule appointments as soon as possible. Definitely recommend.

The entire staff at Kindness Animal Hospital was great! They got me in last minute to see my dog who was having some tummy problems. I was worried I would spend a lot of money on testing just to find out that it was nothing serious but Dr. Lodahl took one look, and gave my dog a shot and some medication to try before we move forward with any testing and I’m so thankful. My dog started looking and feeling better as soon as we got home! This is the first time I have ever had a dog be this sick and I’m glad I found Kindness Animal Hospital! They were extremely patient with my dog and were so caring. Highly recommend this place! I can’t thank them enough!

Dr. Lodahl and her entire staff are amazing. My dog had to been seen after an unfortunate scafe with a neighbors vehicle. She was limping and guarding her right paw. They were all very concerned and reassuring to us and to my girl. My girl was nervous going in, but Dr. Lodahl and Cassie made sure she was comfortable and let us stay with her throughout her entire examination. She ended up getting meds and is feeling so much better. I cannot express how grateful we are to have them get her in, work with us and are reasonably priced. Thank you again very much.

Wow. Let's start there. Dr Lodahl is so sweet and knowledgeable. My boy had a large spot that was bothering him. They squeezed us in on an emergency basis. She diagnosed him right away. Did emergency surgery and he was ready to go home that afternoon. He wasn't stressed when I picked him up. That says a lot. I highly recommend Kindness Animal Hospital. This will be our vet.
