Jornada Veterinary Clinic Las Cruces, New Mexico

I would like to start with saying that I have been to other vet clinics in Las Cruces and have not had a negative experience at any, however I like Jornada's service and staff the most. The staff at Jornada is very helpful and accommodating. I am a hound Hunter and occasionally accidents happen to my pack, knowing this the doctors at Jornada graciously and totally unprompted assembled a basic first aid kit for me at no charge. What a nice gesture. One of my hounds had a small congenital hernia that showed later in his life. The next day I was a walk in to the office ( no appt) and even though they were very busy that day they still found a time slot to have a look at my boy. Some people I see are complaining about the wait for walk-ins but I was just happy to get in when they were swamped. I waited about 2 hours. They scheduled his surgery the very next day (again totally unprompted, I wasn't insisting at all) and since I was a walk in I took it even more graciously because it was totally unexpected. This was just one of the very pleasant and above and beyond customer service I've experienced at Jornada. Jornada has very good prices too. I have always been surprised at how affordable their care is. My dog's minor hernia operation was very affordable. Take it from a very happy customer. Jornada Vet clinic is an excellent place to take your dogs UPDATE: I am writing this update as of 2/8/22. One of my hounds crashed into a barbed wire fence at full speed causing a huge gash in his leg that needed prompt care. The clinic closes at 7 but they took my dog in at 6:15 to have his gaping wound closed. I am so appreciative of this vet clinic and all they have helped me with over the years. Thanks again Jornada

The start is amazing, Dr Rath is so nice and explains everything to be known. The Vet tech are so kind. They spent time with my cats to make sure they were happy. I brought the n 5 cats all week. This place rocks.

They were very rude and very pushy into doing an exam on my 16 year old cat when I was there to have him put down

The folks at Jornada Vet Clinic on Battan West tended to our 16 yo beagle with compassion and courtesy. Recognizing I was stressed big time, I think they cared for me as much as the dog. Everyone I talked to there expressed condolences when I left without my constant companion. The card they sent me is much appreciated. Everyone signed it, most with nice comments. Mike R.

They are wreckless on what they suggest other's to feed their pets

My dogs were both ill. One had digestive issues and the other had an ear problem. Dr Higgins and her vet asst made all three of us comfortable by greeting us; the dogs wagged their tails which told me they were comfortable. The experience was relaxing for us all.

I went on a Friday at 1:00 for two vaccinations. The whole procedure went so well. Touch less and efficiently done.

I have had four dogs who have been under the care of Jornada their entire lives. We have had to deal with serious chronic illnesses as well as traumatic events, and the staff, over the span of two and a half decades, as well as the veterinarians have always been so compassionate, accommodating and honest. My current old guy, Benny, is at the point of chronic illness, and I wouldn't trust anyone else to take better care of him.

I'm sincerely in disbelief of the quality, care, thoroughness, etc. of this clinic. Me and Max have had at least 6 vets because we travel extensively. Jornada was the best by far!

I took my pet in for surgery and he did wonderfully! I am grateful to the doctor and staff at Jornada Veterinary Clinic for taking good care of my Coco. I appreciated the follow-up call inquiring about about how he was doing. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Tucker has been taking care of my animals for 6 years. He is an extraordinary veterinarian; gentle with his patients and compassionate with their owners. The recent euthanasia of my sweet cat was calm and peaceful with extra pets from both Dr. Tucker and the vet tech. And 2 days later Dr. Tucker was just as patient during my unruly young dogs’ annual exam. Thank you , Dr. Tucker

Very Professional excellent care Dr Tucker is great. We have been going there for the 5 years we have lived here and since Dr Nancy left Dr Tucker is now our choice for a Vet. Great experience.

Dr. Rath is especially caring, considerate, and diligent. More importantly, my dog recognizes these traits.

I deeply appreciate the attentiveness of Dr. Tucker and of all the tech staff and front desk staff, as well as the Office Manager. My dogs are of the utmost importance to me, and I must know they get the best of care. While there is no emergency care yet available in our city, we are working on this problem. In the meantime, I know I can trust Jornada Veterinary to care for my fur boys on a daily basis as needed.

Everyone that I have delt with at this facility have been very professional, careing, friendly, helpful, and more. They provide quality care and competative costs. I highly reccomend this facility for the care of your pets.

This place was very helpful in helping me bring my dog out of a dangerous situation, this facility truly is miraculous. The pricing and "estimates" are like handling at a car dealership for the pre and post game options of your pets situation and can lead to some extensive cost. Also if you purchase all the added packages please ensure that you double check your list against your medication and other items there's always the possibility you'll have to go back a couple of times to retrieve items you never received.

I have been taking my cat, Annabel Lee here for the last 3 years and keep her current on her vaccines and wellness exams. The staff here is extremely nice and caring. Last year I had taken her in for a cleaning and it was discovered that she had Plasma Cell Stomatitis. Dr. Tucker did a great job with her surgery. She healed up quickly and we haven't had any problems since. They care about the animals and as long as I live here I will continue to take Annabel here.

After being placed on hold for a significant amount of time I was told that they were only open for 30 more minutes and would not be taking any more patients. My animal was attacked and probably needed euthanized but I was told to go to El Paso.

Up front these guys are not my vet. However, there is a post circulating of foods that are not recommended vs what this practice recommends. I feel compelled to come and share some information. Feeding your dog good dog food made from real ingredients not from waste products is imperative for their health, but the byproduct is it keeps them out of the vets office other than an annual checkup. . The list circulating of what not to feed are products that actually keep your dog out of the vets office, and the recommended, Purina, Hills Royal Canine all help keep your dog in it. Especially the Hills and Purina. There are some brands that long have caused medical issue that are not on the list. Bottom lines is review recommendations from entities that do not financially gain from their recommendation. Not saying that's is whats happening here, but felt it was negligent to not at least come and say something.

Practice manager is a joke. Jornada used to be one of the best in town, until cooperate took over. What a shame.

Appointment was on-time; staff were professional but friendly. They gave my kitty a thorough examination, asked appropriate questions, and the charges were very fair.

Every time we've had an emergency they've never been able to take us. Guess they'd rather see pets die.

They were great! They were professional, efficient, and kind. Our cat is old and scared of people and they made him feel comfortable.

My wait, even though I was a scheduled walk-in, was not long. Dr. Tucker answered every question and wrote down some information I wanted to use at home. They treated our dog with friendship, compassion and professionalism. I was very pleased.

Everyone was so amazing(except the tech that picked up my pet in the morning, not to impressed with her) other than that, they are all so nice. The Dr was great. Shared some helpful insight for my cat’s weight control. I’m glad I choose Joranda Veterinary Clinic????????????????

I called Jornada veterinary clinic about my cat who had an infection hoping I could get an appointment within a few days. Even though they were booked and extremely busy, they worked me in the same day. The veterinarian, assistant, and staff were very caring, compassionate, professional, and helpful. The veterinarian and assistant took the time to show me how to administer the medicine for my cat, which helped me and my cat immensely. I am very grateful to Jornada Vet Clinic. My cat is healing well.

They provide the friendliest and most professional care for our puppy! Newly established here from California, we were concerned we would not be able to find a Veterinarian that would live up to our expectations. They met those expectations and beat them. We are more than pleased!
