Great vets, but they’re always running 30 minutes or up over an hour behind. Had an appointment for 10am, vets informed me that my apt. was at 10:30 instead. Waiting in the parking lot for 30 minutes for nothing, which could’ve been completely avoided. Do not bother making an appointment, because people that just driveup in a whim get seen and evaluated first. My cat was an emergency appointment but “emergency” isn’t actually that here. You’re just squeezed in between appointments, and you could be waiting for up to an hour. No sense of urgency. Tl;Dr: The appointment setter informed that my appointment was at a certain time when in fact, it wasn’t. Waiting over 30 minutes close to hour for my emergency appointment. People who drive up without an appointment have more priority to be seen than people who have made appointments. Very very frustrating. The only reason I come here is that the staff is very friendly, and the services are economy friendly.

It used to have a small town feeling. Now it's an over price vet store dont get me wrong they do good work with the right vet but there are other options

Thank God the are vets that care. These people are amazing. Had an emergency & they called first thing and said bring my cat in. No waiting in line on a first come thing.

Kind & thoughtful -- they were able to provide urgent care for my sweet boy after 2:00 on 12/31!!! So grateful for Dr. Calista and her staff!

Absolutely love Calista Animal Hospital! I just had to get my babies shots updated but they noticed a stomach problem with one of them right away. They suggested a diet change to support the digestion issue and my baby has done wonderfully since!! When I had to do the shots it was during major COVID-19 lock down.. So we had to wait in the car.. They were so gentle with them and so friendly... You would never have thought my babies had just gone to see the vet... Prices vary but the Dr doesn't do anything unless you approve.. Great place to take your pets for professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service!

We've been going to Calista Animal Hospital for over 3 years now with no complaints. (However this is our first time filling a script with a different pharmacy) Our poor guy has bad skin allergies & lands us at Calista's at least twice a year spending $250 - $300 per visit. The visits are pretty quick. They prescribe him medication which we've always gotten from thier pharmacy; however, it is ridiculously expensive so we opted out of getting it there this visit! We left with our script & I placed an order with the Wal-mart pet pharmacy online saving over ninety dollars. However they have not been able to fill it due to the fact that Calista's has not sent them the prescription. I placed the order on Friday October 29, on Wednesday November 03, I received an email from Wal-Mart stating that after several attempts they have not been able to retrieve the prescription, therefore they can not fill it. We contacted Calista's, explained our issue and then the extremely rude lady told us "I will SEE if the Dr can do that". Here we are Monday November 08 with no prescription authorization for Wal-Mart and no medication for our poor guy. Are you really hurting for money that bad that you are going to let an animal suffer? I am completely appalled by thier behavior and WILL NOT be using thier services for future pet visits!!!

Called on September 15th to make an appointment for my dog Junior. The earliest they could get him in was October 1st, but they said I could email them some pictures of the issue our dog was having and if it was something that looked serious they would get back to me and let me know. I went ahead and made the appointment for Friday October 1st at 2:45pm and emailed them the pictures of Junior. On Friday October 1st I make the 1 hour and a half drive to Calista Animal Hospital in Las Cruces. When I get there they tell me they can't find the appointment. I show them the copy of the email I sent and the call log on my phone. They go in and check several times , but can't seem to find anything on the computer. The person in charge says that the only thing I can do is either may another appointment for 2 weeks out or they can see him today if I pay extra for emergency service. I have proof that I had talked to them on the phone and emailed them, but even if I didn't they should of waved the emergency visit fee. This is part of good customer service for which they are extremely lacking. I will now need to find another vet for Junior and my other 3 dogs. Calista Animal Hospital only cares about the money and not your pet. Do not go here.

I love Calista's, the vets are great though I miss Dr. Brown. Unfortunately they are super busy a day difficult to get an appointment within 2 or 3 weeks. I had to go emergency recently which costs much more. They are somewhat expensive but I travel 20 minutes to go to them so what does that tell you.

Too bad my 13-year-old Shepherd had to pass away while undercollistus care almost felt like she was too old to survive but they kept putting her on different meds still wasn't eating for 2 weeks had to have a mobile vet come to put her down not even a sorry card from calista animal hospital after she passed but they sure did get their money

I took my miniature Chihuahua in for the first time. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Calista, well she is simply amazing! With the meds that she subscribed, overnight, my Princess was able to breath normal and walk normal again. That's right, I said overnight! She has not been breathing normal for almost two years due to a misdiagnosis. For almost 2 weeks she has not been walking normal due to not being able to use her hind legs for some reason. But all that is over. Dr. Calista batted my pet's problems right out of the park! I look forward to bringing my other two Chihuahuas and two cats to Dr. Calista for her to treat from now on. I have never, ever, had such a satisfactory experience at a Vet's office like Calista Animal Hospital. Thank you Dr. Calista. Your hospital is THE BEST IN TOWN.

If I could put Zero or negative stars I would. Very disheartened by the uncuth and disrespectful staff. My spouse was on the phone with the Calista Animal Hospital for 8 minutes on September 15, 2021 and made an appointment for our puppy who had developed bumps on his stomach. We even emailed the clinic photos after they gave us that address.(never received a response) same day he called September 15 He made an an appointment that day at their earliest date of October 1st. Also to note the comute to get our puppy there is an hour and half one way. Well my spouse does the hour and half drive only to arrive and be told "They Lost our Appointment" and they wouldn't see our puppy unless they took him in as an emergency visit and we would than have to pay the emergency visit fee rather than a regular vet appointment fees. So They lose our appointment and now it's our problem because you want more $$$ how about taking him in, if you could take him in as an emergency visit I don't see why you couldn't see him because someone in the Staff Lost Our Puppy's appointment. Now going into 3 weeks and still don't know what is going on with our dog. Glad to know early on it's only about $$ and not making things right. The Disregard of care of animals is unacceptable and unprofessional on all levels take accountability and fix it don't deflect onto on your clients your business/ Staffs mistakes and expect them to pay $$ for them. On this note our pack will be moving to somewhere that the care is priority and professionalism is a must. Later,- Rudy????, Bella????, Ziva???? and the one you let down the most Junior ???? can't emphasize enough how disappointed we are.

Took my Great Dane puppy (Credence) for his shots & had a few questions for his nutrition. Got plenty of answers & you can definitely tell they love animals there. Highly recommend.

The staff and vets here are AMAZING. No problem too big or small. They made my dog feel loved and comfortable. They all answered my questions amazingly and made me feel at ease. I called panicked cause I came home to my dog with bloody stool and vomit at about 3pm on a Friday. The staff cared to relay the message to the vet and she said to come right in and turned out to just be stress colitis. My dog was rehydrated and given meds to help relieve his anxiety. When anything happens to our animals you cannot explain the emotions that run through your mind. Thank you folks at calista ????
